What's even more interesting is the specific code that ZanyAZ received. She shares the following:
...in my June catalog there was a one time use coupon for 20% off if I use my AMEX. It's unclear whether it's sponsored by AMEX or J.Crew, but it's still awesome. It's only valid online through June 6 and not valid on non J.Crew items. ...just thought the other JCAs should double check their catalogs. ...it's deep purple and mine was on page 3 with a purple circle on the front saying special offer inside with the AMEX logo.So check your catalog to see if you got a unique promo code too! :)
I got the June 2010 catalog and I didn't get a promo code :( Please do share!
ReplyDeleteBut more importantly, check out the lipstick colors on the models. Jcrew really went all out on this catalog. SO many to-die-for lip colors. Anyone know what colors were used/how to find out?
SEE pgs 46/7, 85, 89, 93... All so fabulous!!! Obsessed!
I got my catalog today and it includes a 20% off in-store-only promo. I used the last one (10%) at a factory store, so I'm glad they're upping the ante.
ReplyDeleteMy boyfriend brought me his catalog today, and it had a 20% off entire purchase coupon. No code or anything-- just a little insert in the middle of the catalog. Awesome! Mine hasn't arrived yet, but I hope I get one, too :-)
ReplyDeleteNo code for me.
ReplyDeleteMeredith: totally agree on the lips. LOVE!
Has anybody seen the Castillo eyelet cami IRL? I'd love to hear your thoughts. I think it looks cute on the item page, but not as much on the madras boyfriend short page.
ReplyDeleteI wish!
ReplyDeleteI really want a couple of the LemLem pieces.
Meredith I don't know about these specific colours but I do recall reading in the past (maybe on style.com) that J Crew uses NARS lipstick... they referred specifically to Funny Face which is a bright fuschia, was used in the Fall lookbook, and is to be discontinued. It's very similar to NARS Schiaparelli which is another very bright fuschia... Funny Face could be the colour they are wearing on p. 85. Hope that helps!
ReplyDeleteNo promo code for me, but I'm thankful that I at least got the catalog this time...April and May's never arrived!!
ReplyDeleteHoping I even get a catalog in the mail. -- crosses fingers --
ReplyDeleteI got a 20% off any instore purchase on a little red card in my catalog (awesome!) My mom got a 20% off online purchase code (but no free ship, can't be combined, etc, etc, so I won't be using)
ReplyDeleteI got $25 off in-store purchase only. Bummer, I wish it worked online.
ReplyDeleteBTW, its even my birthday next week and I still didn't get a coupon! hah.
ReplyDeleteI got the $25 off a purchase of $125 or more (in-store only).
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday Meredith :)
ReplyDeleteIt seems like a lot more people are getting something in their catalogue. That's nice!
Yup I got one for 20% off in store when I browsed through my catalog for the first time today! Some cute new arrivals...might actually use it this time :p.
ReplyDeleteMeredith,
ReplyDeleteI noticed the lipsticks too, lovely colors!
Bummer, no code for me :(
ReplyDeleteMeredith - I too want to know lipstick names. What a waste that Jcrew doesn't use its Twitter account more often. I'd kill to know the brands/colors!!
ReplyDeleteOh and can anyone else tell me what the dress on the cover is? Love it and can't see it in the cat itself.
Like I said before the only time I got a coupon several months ago was an EXPIRED ONE.
ReplyDeleteI didn't get one this time either.
The sale page now has changed to bright YELLOW SUMMER SALE:)
ReplyDeleteI received my catalog yesterday w/nothing more than a push to get a JC credit card. Surprised to hear there was an AMEX/JCrew discount when JCrew has their own cc. Wish I would've rec'd that one.
ReplyDeleteNothing in my catalog.
ReplyDeleteIf by chance, anyone is J. Crew-ed out and doesn't want their 20% off code, I would happily take it :)
ReplyDeleteIt would come in handy for some Alden shoes!

Thanks!

I got the card with $25 off in store purchases, and noticed that my neighbor got the 20% off any purchase if using Amex. I also noted that the catalog I got had more pages than hers (?) and hers had the Amex logo in the cover...
ReplyDeleteHmmm...I wonder if I call Amex customer service if they can get me a code. I'm pretty much guessing JC customer service is not going to help me out on this.
ReplyDeleteMine had a 20% off online purchase and yes - the lipstick colors are gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteIf you're not using your 20% off code, can you please share it with me? I'd love to get some of the new offerings in the June catalog. :)

Thanks in advance, you awesome JCAs out there!
Was too lazy to call amex CS...going to see if we get anything for memorial day and if not, I may try.
ReplyDeletesilver lining, I tried the Castillio Eyelet Cami in my B&M and I liked it a lot. I think it is very nice versatile piece that would go with everything. You can wear your regular bra which is always a plus for me. The eyelet detail and the fabric were very nice. I took 4 in it, the smaller of my cami sizes. It is slightly sheer but not so much that would have to wear something under, imo. I really liked everything about it but the price. I will get it when it goes on sale.
ReplyDeleteI just have to ask... how did everyone feel about the "looks" on the pages of the June 2010 catalog?
ReplyDeleteI personally hated the styling throughout this current catalog. The images usually inspire me and I tend to shop the whole "look." But I couldn't see anyone wearing the styling on those pages. The outfits and "looks" were so distracting I had a hard time imagining if I would even like a single shirt or clothing item at all.
Am I alone on this?
Carey, I totally agree so now for me the catalog is more like an editorial spread than anything else. Now I just refer to the website to see how the clothes actually look. The styling is a little overwhelming, I kind of wish they would think more about how their customer actually wears the clothes.
