This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available in the Summer sale, or to see some new Fall arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!
Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)
P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!
I stopped by on Tuesday and picked up what I think is a retail only shirt. It's a champagne (color BPI?) v-neck tissue tee with some floral beading on the right shoulder- retailed for $45 I think. Also came in gray with gray & black beading. It's lovely, although it seems very delicate, so it may be going back. The receipt reads: Tissue T beaded stars.

I stopped by my B&M today. I really want to try on the Anton sweater, but they still don't have it in!
ReplyDeleteMolly- I also saw the tee you are referring to. Its cute, but I don't like where the embellishments are. If you put a jacket or cardi over it, you can't see it and the sequins might snag the sweaters.
just got home from a j.crew stor. I picked up the animal print cardigan, a jackie in navy, the falling ruffles tank in the reddish orange, and the skinny tortoise belt.
ReplyDeleteCrewbie - I tried on the Anton, I am posting a pic now. I loved it but am waiting for the heather camel color. My store only had the grey.
ReplyDeleteThat's my thought Crewbie- I often wear my bag slung on my left shoulder (oops, said right should before) and I know that would cause the beads to fall off. It is very pretty though.
ReplyDeleteThe JC at Barton Creek Square and at the Domain(Austin,TX)both have a fair amount of fall items but almost no sale items. My daughter and I have purchased (recently) the corsage cardi(me) and the cordoroy mini (her) but it's too hot here to consider too many fall items! The Domain sent out an e-mail yesterday that you can pre-shop Sept items on Aug 19 and 20 before the Texas tax free weekend (Aug 21-23). They will hold your items and ring them up and mail them to you when the tax free weekend starts. You avoid the crowds and are assured of getting the items you want. They did not mention if you are charged for the shipping.
ReplyDeleteI was in the store this past Tuesday to take back some returns and see a few of the newer items that had made it to the store...left without purchasing anything, though. I was told that the next really big rollout won't be until October. There will still be new items arriving in the stores from now until then, but they will be receiving only a handful at a time every couple of weeks until the October rollout.
ReplyDeleteI was at Prince St (NYC) J.Crew yesterday. Not much in the sale besides plain tees. They said they would have new items out by Wednesday of next week. I did find the tiered shirt shown under the Merino Flutter Bow Cardigan here. It's $88 and comes in a pale lavender or ivory. It's style #18934 and I found it TTS. Otherwise nothing too exciting.
ReplyDeletei will probably stop in. i have to do some returns and i still have my rewards card.
ReplyDeletei don't know if i should hold off buying anything with my rewards card until it gets closer to the expiration date because maybe some new fall items will be on sale then.
Im in NYC for some job interviews... probably going to wander to a JCrew or three this afternoon. My rewards card is burning a hole in my pocket!
ReplyDeleteI need to go check out the Maya cardis IRL. Some are looking a bit sheer, so I want to try on. Other than that, those new pencil skirts are on my radar, so I hope my store has them.
ReplyDeleteI was at Brea B&M and they had lots of swirling ruffle tank in white and warm shell. I picked up the paisley stamped tee in pale plum color with dark charcoal print. They also had other retail only tees with ribbon flowers, but for $42-ish I'd rather buy a cardi on sale.
ReplyDeleteOh how I wish California had tax free days...
I stopped by the Prince Street store to make a return and walked out with yet another cute graphic tee. I have too many of these, but couldn't pass up this rooster. It's a natural/off white colored slub cotton with an illustration of a rooster in tan/brown ink. Very cute. Looked like they just laid them out since they had a stack with the full complement of sizes.
ReplyDeleteI got jcrew vintage rooster tee too. I have IRL picture on my "blog".
ReplyDeleteMCC- my store only had the Maya in three colors- coral, light peachy pink, and gray. I'm in the market for a darker cardi (navy) so I passed but I did like the fit and feel of the material. Very flattering IMO.
ReplyDeleteWent in to do some returns and the cashier was one I hadn't seen before, she was extremely nice and friendly, and didn't sneer at me for the amount of returns! I saw that rooster tee, too and I really liked it. I only saw it in the natural color, and that's the color I got for the Gondry and chiffon rose tees, so I'll pass unless it comes in another color. I especially wanted it since i missed the rooster French market tee awhile ago. It's funny, I love graphics of birds, especially roosters and owls, but I'm kind of scared of them IRL.
ReplyDeleteI'll be returning my horizontal stripe shorts item 15016 size 4 this weekend. If anyone is interested email me: sbash123@yahoo.com $37 shipped
ReplyDeleteNo B&M for me anytime soon. I am patiently waiting until the rollouts after October.
ReplyDeleteHave fun all you ladies that will be out shopping.
I went yesterday to the Marlton, NJ location. Sale section was very small. I didn't really check it out cause I'm way over summer.
ReplyDeleteI used my rewards card and bought the shirred ruffle cardi in lavendar and the crosage cotton cardi in this mint green color that I haven't seen online. Neither were on sale
I also tried on the boot cut cords in a 4 short, which still seemed really long on me. I liked them, but didn't love them. I'm probably going to buy a pair of cords from the gap later in the fall. City fit works best for me. The bootcut are fav fit. The SAs were setting up new displays. It looked like there was no longer a Crew Cuts section, unless it's really condensed now and I missed it.
The store had a ton of T's and cords, but I was disappointed that there weren't more dresses.
Note- Banana's fall gear in Marlton was fabulous. I had just received a 25 percent off coupon and went to town there. BR's jewelry line is so cute.
Last night I picked up the "Moon Tank Dress". I can't find it on jcrew.com, so maybe it's an in-store item? Anyway, if you're interested in IRL pictures, I do a review in the blog post I did today. Thanks to everyone for sharing your J. Crew purchases and info.

I went to J. Crew today (my first time actually going into the store, I am hooked), and a lot of the new Fall stuff looked really good. The Forever Cardigan (89.50), is really soft, and even on my 5'2" frame, it doesn't fall too awkwardly long. ReplyDeleteThe new graphic tees are nice too, I bought one (http://www.jcrew.com/AST/Browse/WomenBrowse/Women_Feature_Assortment/instantgratificationunder100/knits/PRDOVR~18079/18079.jsp), the Tissue Rose Sparkling Tee, in a small, but I really could have used an extra-small to have it fit a little bit better. Great fabric though.
The one thing I`m really craving is the Downtown Field Jacket (http://www.jcrew.com/AST/Browse/WomenBrowse/Women_Feature_Assortment/NewArrivals/jacketsouterwear/PRDOVR~19034/19034.jsp), the sales associate said that was her favorite item this season.
I`m planning on checking out the J. Crew that's in the mall closer to work later this week, they have a bigger store.
FFM: Thank you for sharing info about the October rollout!!
ReplyDeleteI am wondering when the next private sales will be. I really wish J.Crew would do a 20% private sale offer soon!
PS: I went to B&M today but not much in the sales section.
I went to the Jcrew outlet and saw their version of the rose chiffon graphic tee. The rose is smaller on this tee (from what i've seen from the original) but it's still very cute. They have it in the white version as well as the black.
ReplyDeleteI'm addicted to the Crewlade...
ReplyDeleteI went in last weekend and bought the evening primrose cardigan, a Frances Ruffle blouse in the Deep Rose color, a pair of matchstick jeans in the super dark wash and the Minnie pants in grey. I also purchased the ringspun boat neck tee in the deep raisin color. I spent too much but it was tax free weekend in VA so I did save some money, plus I used my educator discount.
Yesterday I went back and I purchased the Snow Leopard Cardigan and another Frances blouse in a grey/white pattern and I got the corsage cardi in black.
I think since the fall items arrived I've been in 4 times and spent money each time. This is bad.
Are the Patent Tortoise ballet flats in stores yet? I was going to order them online but my size won't be shipped until Oct. 12th!!!
ReplyDeleteI stopped in the Fashion Valley San Diego B&M today, and came away empty-handed. They did not have a perfect-fit T-shirt in buff pink w/short sleeves. I'm probably going to have to do red line or online for that.
ReplyDeleteStrangely, though, the sale section was back. When I went a week or so ago, there was no sale section. I already have PF t-shirts in bright citron and tropical aqua, which were among the sale offerings.
