Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available in the Spring/Summer sale, or to see some new Fall arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. Probably not...I've been in a few times to see the fall items, and just placed a couple of orders online for sale popbacks. I'll probably go in again for the next rollout in a week, or to do returns, if anything.

My B&M was not having any additional % off sale items, and most of the sale items were already shipped out.

  2. I havent had a chance to look at the fall arrivals yet so I'll be visiting my B&M this weekend

  3. Do you think there will be a code soon, ladies?? : ) I've been holding out!

    ReplyDelete
  4. I went to B&M on Thursday to return some items. Most of the sale items were packed to ship out. They had very little sale items but mostly all picked over and they weren't doing % off sale anymore. The whole back of the store was emptied out. (Brea, CA)

Some of the fall items were already sold out like the headache tee (one size L left) and the farrow bow tie top (2 sizes left).

Hopefully next week they'll have more new items. The SA told me J.Crew was making fewer items this season and they may not restock some items. I don't know if that is the truth or trying to make me buy more items FP instead of waiting for markdowns.

  5. No crew for me this weekend. I did a quick browse mid-week, and the sale section was down to a stack of chinos and a few tees. I saw all the current new stuff when I was at Somerset last weekend for my looky-loo fun.

  6. Huge restock on the website: 1053 items. WOW

    ReplyDelete
  7. I am headed down this afternoon. New items will be in boxes still, but my ps assures me he will pull what I want to try on. :)

OT, the evening primrose cardi is now available online. You have to search for it though - I used "evening primrose." It is such a lovely cardi - great purples and grays with a touch of green! I couldn't leave this one behind last week - bought the lavender tank to wear with it. I have a spicy olive tank that also matches!

  8. I wish there would be a code...but if there is, it would probably be only for final sale items. With a new rollout scheduled soon, it is doubtful.

Went to b&m yesterday to pick up a jacket for weekend travel...sale section was shipped out.
They had plenty of imperial and headache tees though.
    I have enough tees!

    Have a great weekend!

  9. Used the free shipping coupon to order the uptown vachetta tote in tan rose, which I have been eyeing forever. Also ordered a Jaspe T-shirt which are really comfortable in our hot weather. If I dont absolutely love the bag I will pass it on, I guess. Jorge from WPB

    ReplyDelete
  10. Jorge, congrats on the vachetta uptown bag! It's gorgeous IRL, the leather's great.

Yeah, good update today. The thing is, for me, alot of what came back I didn't want when in was in the B&Ms for considerably cheaper! Now, if they bring the prices in line with store prices, I'll bite at the things I couldn't get locally (origami tank for twenty bucks, this means you!)

The way they're dong this with the sale stuff really underscores the point of the article from the other day. The focus on web sales vs. B&M is apparent here. They couldn't GIVE away all the tattered jersey dresses or chiffon trim tops this season once people saw their condition in front of them. But through nice pics on the website, plus draconian no-return policy? JC unloads plenty.

This is frustrating on so many levels, which we've all talked about before. I just don't understand what part it is of my brain that keeps going "SQUEE!!" when I see the big restock, when I know good and well what I'll be seeing! The crewlade, my not so secret shame.

  11. OT - the Collection link is back on the site. It lists the Professor blazer as available in September and details on a few other items we've seen in the Lookbook. Also a beautiful velvet and patent heel and a flannel peep toe with a velvet bow, both available in September.

Unfortunately, you can't click through the items not yet available and they don't have a product page when you click "Shop The Entire J.Crew Collection".

  12. Sale was pretty much gone from the store at 45th & Madison in NYC as of a few days ago.

OT what skirt would you pair with the evening primrose cardi? I'm debating which one to buy. Navy would pick up some of the darker tones but navy skirts tend to pose a shoe dilemma for me... hmmm...

    ReplyDelete
  13. Really? The professor blazer (with trims) will be available online? I wonder if they come in petite as well. I have read so many good reviews about this blazer and would really like to try it on when I drop by the store today. I just didn't see it in the smallest size when I went to at least 2 stores the past week. Guess it has been selling well? The size 0 isn't fitted well on me most of the time unless it's a boxy fit like the last year Fiona jacket. I hope to see more new jackets offered for Fall/Winter from J.Crew.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Dara - I own the primrose cardi, and think it would look great with grey, bronzed ochre, black, ivory and navy.... I'm pretty much planning on pairing it in all of those combinations. HTH. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  15. I wish you all good retail luck this weekend!!

    (:

    ReplyDelete
  16. Jean- The professer blazer will be available online. I pre-ordered it yesterday since the small sizes seems to be selling out already in stores (or in nyc). I believe it will be on the site in the third week of August

    ReplyDelete
  17. I probably am not going to the B&M. I went to Fashion Valley (San Diego) last week and all the sale things were shipped out.

I want a percentage off FS. There's a couple of items I'm interested in, and I keep checking for popbacks on the Collection Miriam cardigan, which I'm highly unlikely to score.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Awesome Math Teacher. Please do post your finds. I am thinking about making the trip to the store (only is 3 or 4 blocks away, but still takes effort). Good shopping to you :)

    ReplyDelete
  19. jcmama - You are absolutely right.

J Crew is making fewer items this season. They already started at the summer collection. As you saw, all of the sale sold out quickly and the stores were empty the past few weeks. An SA said they would rather sell out than mark too many things down.

It's a balance -- do you get the item now and ensure that you have it? Or do you wait for a popback? If there are fewer items in circulation, it stands to reason there will be fewer popbacks. We will probably get lucky in sale with ill fitting pieces and weird things with chiffon slathered on them like the Thriller sweater I reviewed.

    http://gigisgoneshopping.blogspot.com/2009/07/j-crew-thriller-sweater.html

But I will not be surprised if *that* doesn't make it to a super low markdown because J Crew seems to be tightening up inventory. We'll see.

  20. Just to second Math Teacher and Marietta, the evening primrose cardi is really cute IRL. Bellevue Square had a ton yesterday. I'm only hesitant because I don't really have much that will complement the colors, so if I got the cardi I'd have to get four or five other pieces to go with it!

I'd also second Cheesy's comments about seeing the shopworn items at B&M versus the nicely posed photos online (for non-returnable items!). I don't get up to B&M very often but I remember being sooo glad I saw all of last fall's chiffon flowers sweaters/tops in person.

OT: a comment on the skinny patent leather belt. JC says that they added extra holes so it can be worn at waist or hips. But, the leather portion of the size small was only 35" long so (at least on me) it is not possible to wear at hips on city fit pants, i.e., no room to overlap the ends and fasten.

  21. Just stopped by my B&M to check out the new arrivals. They got the Maya cardigan in! It is all button-up, the top buttonhole is "hidden" in the twist. Definitely needs to have at least the twist part buttoned, I don't think it would look that great unbuttoned. It is featherweight, slightly see-through, and TTS in my opinion. Very cute, but I don't think it's "full price cute" to me.

They had the open crewneck painter tees on promo for $19.50 (reg. $29.50). They substantially improved the painter tee material over last season's paper thin stuff that stretched out and got holes immediately, and the open crewneck is cute for people like me that just can't do true crewnecks. I'd say these are also TTS.

Really liked the striped Forever cardigan in SMU (something mushroom?). Fit was nice, merino felt thick and substantial (unlike the Maya, which was probably 14-gauge, I think this cardigan was 12). $95 - eeek! Good thing it's not cardigan season yet. I can see myself springing for this one if the other new arrivals don't float my boat.

They also had a grey "double serge" pencil skirt that looked to be very similar in material to last year's Maggie jacket. Very cute!

  22. The professor blazer was available at my local b&m in New York. It is a bit on the thin side, but I love it. Sold!

  23. •The San Francisco store still has about 5 Headache tees, for anyone interested.
•I went to get the new LONG black boyfriend blazer #19197. Yuck. Thin wool (I'm not convinced it is wool), only partly lined, poor setting in of sleeves--bunchy parts. Passed.
•Did get many new tights, black leggings, stretch 50's style retro belt (your mom or grandmother had this) AND a man's white shirt to go over leggings. Heaven! 100% cotton, no "stretch," 68015, made by a well-known Japanese shirtmaker, soft to die for. Great shirt for leggings, toothpick/matchstick jeans, classic look with flats or heels.
    • One of the managers reported that the recent "showing" of the Holiday Rollout to staff back in New Jersey/New York? was INCREDIBLE. Apparently, we will all swoon.

  24. I was able to see the ethereal cardi, which I really liked. I tried on a shades of gray animal print cardi which I loved! TTS And dark gray sweater jacket - this had pockets. Not so cute to look at, but I really liked it on. Size down. A light gray wool pencil skirt. Man, if I worked in an office I would have walked out with this. LOVE! I will hope for a promo or sale. TTS (I think - I bought the watercolor pencil skirt in a 4, this fit well in a 6 and usually I wear an 8 in their pencil skirts and a 6 in all other skirts. I tried on the odessa printed cotton tunic, which everyone loved on me. I didn't think it was as great - it really gave me no shape. Sized down. I hated the feel of the minnie pant, although I thought they were cute on. TTS I was able to try on the mohair cardi that's due out the next roll out - they had received these early, so they couldn't put them on the floor, but Billy (the most wonderful ps!) had me try one on. It was cute, but not for me. And, it wasn't really itchy, for those concerned. TTS My favorite item was the maya cardi, which I loved. I tried and bought the flannel and it was not see through. It is very flattering, although the top button must stay buttoned, which is fine with me. TTS I also bought the tissue silk-trim parlour cardi in light amethyst. Last one in the store in my size. Size down. I tried on the black toothpick ankle jeans and these were a little longer than the regular denim. I will have a pair of these at some point! I love them, just not willing to pay $125 for jeans. If I could wear them to school, it would be different. But we're only allowed to wear jeans once a month.

Leader, I don't know if you're interested in any of these items. Many were still back in the back, although they were trying to get them out. The store was busy - probably due to tax free weekend. I didn't really see any other new items from last week, although there may have been more that just weren't out. I asked about the cord pencil skirt, but they didn't get it. :( I really want to try that on.

Sorry for such a long post!

    ReplyDelete
  25. One more thing, the dress in the September lookbook (pictured with the green mohair cardi) is called the something shimmering paisley dress and will cost $118. Sorry I don't have a style #. Also, I forgot to mention that the cardi is 3/4 sleeves.

    ReplyDelete
  26. OT, but if anybody is looking for an oxford shirt (and I know I always am), Gap has a good "boyfriend oxford" that I just received. Soft, beautiful blue color, roll-up sleeves with tabs. Best of all, it's not HUGE like the "His" shirts at JC - an XS fit great on me, slightly oversized and slouchy. They have boyfriend chambray shirts, too!

  27. Thanks for the info Math Teacher. The wool pencil skirt sounds right up my alley. I bought the double serge skirt last year, and adore it. I work in an office with people that are much more warm natured than me. They like to keep it really cold!! I won't get near any store during tax-free weekend. I even did all my kids back to school shopping earlier in the week!! Not worth the hassle for the little bit of savings! Hope to get there Tuesday.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I'm still looking for a Sorbet-stripe cardigan in yellow if anyone sees one please let me know. Thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Leader, I went to Mt. Pleasant before JC and was surprised that it wasn't packed! And, really downtown wasn't that bad. It's good that JC is busy b/c I don't want them to leave Charleston! :) The skirt also came in black, but I was drawn to the gray (and I think it was around $120, but I'm not 100% sure). Happy shopping on Thursday!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Hi math teacher - you're right, the skirt was $118. So cute!

  31. I too saw the leopard print cardi, loved it!! Didn't buy it though, since I've made several purchases already. I'll get it in 2 weeks hopefully, lol! There were new T's, including ones with beaded flowers on the shoulder, very cute.

  32. Hello everyone,
This is my first time posting!

I've been to J.Crew waay to many times this week and will be in tomorrow to complete my fall wardrobe (and my paycheck-apparently)

I purchased the Minnie Pant in black. I was little hesitant because I don't usually wear pants that fit (small waist, huge thighs syndrome) but my PS showed me ways to wear them that made me realize I looked good in them.

I also got the new Jackie Cardigan in Peri and will wear it with the Tiny Buds Perfect Shirt (soo cute together).

I thought the Head-Ache tee was adorable and since I get migraines I thought it was necessary.

Tomorrow I'm putting the finishing touches and getting the Evening Primrose Cardi, Ribbon front top, Matchstick jeans in the super dark wash, corsage cardigan in the spearmint color and maybe a button down or two.

I swear that's it until Xmas. Hello, my name is Johanna and I'm a Crew-aholic.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I saw the professor blazer (the charcoal one with black trim) laid out right in front of the door at the Santa Fe store this afternoon. Also several headache tees. Went in to check the eden jacket in the copper color, but it was the one color they didn't have.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Welcome, pinkizpunk/Johanna!

Special welcome, as well, to the Jcrewers-with-migraines-who-got-the-headache-tee!
You'll love the super dark wash matchsticks--but follow the recommendation and wash them (cold water) before wearing them. Just got/washed mine and they are now SO soft, with no obvious change in color.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Momoberry - where did you see the leopard cardigan? Is it online?
I just went to the J.Crew at the Grove in L.A., they seemed to have a lot of the fall stuff. If you have specific ?s let me know!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Does anyone have the cashmere professor cardigan? I've sworn off JC's cashmere, but this comes in 7-gauge knit, so I'm hoping it's going to be more durable.

Does it run TTS? Would appreciate any comments from someone who owns it. Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Chanel Fashionista - I saw the gray leopard cardi at Charleston, SC. It wasn't out on the floor yet, but was headed there. It's not online (yet?). HTH

    ReplyDelete
  38. Welcome, Pinkizpunk--I, too, am a member of the J.Crewers-who-get-migraines-and-own-headache-tee club . . . and, like you, I have the big thighs/small waist syndrome and just picked up a pair of the Minnie pants. Love the Minnie; I think I need another pair.

Also, when I was at B&M I saw a presumably very brave customer (who was not a size 0) buying two pairs of the Pixie pants!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Chanel Fashionista- I live in Maryland, and my closest B&M store is in Montgomery mall. Sorry, but I didn't get the item number for it.It's also in-store only for the time being. The SA said this new rollout should be in all stores by the end of next week. Just keep an eye out, you'll see it's super cute! :)

    ReplyDelete
  40. thank you! I missed the snow leopard cadi, and I've been wanting a similar one ever since. Is it comparable? DO you remember the price? Thanks so much!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Chanel Fashionista, I believe it was $88 and it felt the same as the snow leopard. In fact, owning that one was my excuse for not buying the new one. :) Although, I may eventually pick it up. I loved it with the new gray pencil skirt. I think it was 3/4 sleeves. I didn't button it all the way up, just the button below my chest, so if you want to wear it buttoned, I can't comment on the sizing. But, it fit in my shoulders. (I have a larger chest, so I can't wear crewneck cardis all buttoned.) HTH

  42. Hey all!

I was at the Cherry Creek (Denver) store this evening and was somewhat disappointed! I love the styling in the Fall catalog but my store just had black, grey and light pink things styled together.

I tried on the schoolboy blazer in the dark charcoal, the frances cami and the eden blazer in the copper color. In comparison, I prefer the way the Ecole fit (and even that wasn't exciting) to the eden. I've noticed several other JCA's posting about fit issues and I echo their concerns.

What do people think of the schoolboy? The 0 was too tight in through the shoulders but perfect through the waist and the 2 was perfect in the shoulders but not fitted enough. Would I be better served by ordering a petite size? Can anyone offer any suggestions?

I also learned that an SA can order a bunch of stuff from the red phone without the hassle of high shipping rates. There are several catalog/online only pieces that I want but know that I'll need multiple sizes. I didn't know there was a way to circumvent shipping rates and I hope this info helps others!

  43. Went to Mall of America store on Thursday. Bought the downtown field jacket -- so cute! Nice and fitted, like I wish the boyfriend military jacket had been in the spring. Also bought the striped l/s striped captains t. Was so excited to try minnie & pixie pants but didn't like them. Cutest tote bag in store: a kind of coated canvas with great inside pockets for only $68. So cute for $68. Great help from sales assoc. Aaron.

    ReplyDelete
  44. thanks for the help! I will start looking for it in stores!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Cheryl, I have the cashmere professor cardigan and found that it runs true to size (if not a bit large when worn open, so if you're in-between I would suggest sizing down). However, it definitely pills. I've worn my twice and had to borrow my roommate's lint shaver twice. The glazed pecan color I have it in is stunning though. HTH!

  46. I emailed J.Crew about the Professor Blazer to see what they had to say about availability online. They are now saying October 10. Here is the text of the email:

We are delighted to provide details about the wool herringbone professor blazer, item 17375.

You are invited to pre-order one of these fabulous blazers by calling a customer service associate at 1-800-562-0258. The blazer will be available in sizes 0-14 and offered at $198. Regrettably, we had anticipated receiving this item in early September; however a slight delay has occurred and we now anticipate its arrival around October 10, 2009. We apologize for any disappointment.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Dara, thanks for the tip on the cashmere professor cardigan. Sorry to hear that it pills (sigh). Guess I'll stick to merino wool for now.

OT - for those JCAs looking a slim-fitting pant as an alternative to JC's Minnie pant, I highly recommend Gap's Always Skinny riding jeans. I bought the olive-colored jean and may go back and buy the black cropped riding jeans too. It's a lightweight, great fall transition piece, and uber-flattering, esp the rear-view, imho.

JCrew's jeans, even in the matchstick & toothpick styles, have always been baggy around my thighs and knees, plus the low waistband would always gap on the back of my waist. Not so with the Always Skinny- the waistband seems more contoured, and the fabric's got enough stretch so the slim cut on the thighs and all the way down the leg is very leg-lengthening yet comfortable, not binding. Check it out and share what you think!

  48. Sizable update online this morning. Nothing too interesting for me but worth a look for others maybe.

    ReplyDelete
  49. We have a tax free weekend here, so I stopped by last night. I picked up the gray/white checked in-store only Francis cami. I really like it. I also like that it's a cotton/silk blend and isn't as shiny as the regular Francis cami. I think it will be great for both work and with jeans on the weekends. It looks good under a cardi or blazer. I really wanted (but never got) the polka dot Victoria last year, so I think that's why I was really drawn to this top.

I bought a couple of the Jackie cardigans on sale online. You can never have too many cardis (in my book, at least!).

    ReplyDelete
  50. Emily,
FWIW, in my experience I cannot get a closer body fit by ordering down to a petite. I'm 5'4" and have a mix of JC P and R in my closet, but in the last year or two I've found that JC petites (at least in suits, suiting dresses, and jackets) have an oddly wide and highwaisted fit with TINY shoulders. If something is too big lately I've been better off sizing down in R than going with P.

I haven't tried on the schoolboy, but if the shoulders are small in the 0 R then I think they would be too small in 2P, and you'd be better off altering the 2R to give it a waist. I hate paying for alterations so I try not to buy something FP if it needs them, but they do make a big difference.

  53. Hello everyone!

    For my fellow CT JCAS...

Greenwich, Westport, & New Canaan, CT: Practically *no* items on sale. Just a handful. On the bright side, they have new arrivals including the School Boy & Professor Blazers. :)

    ReplyDelete
  54. I was at the Bethesda, MD store and they had the Double-Serge Pencil Skirts as well -- a very pretty orchid color and one in copper which was BEAUTIFUL! $118. I absolutely LOVE this color! I really wanted to get the copper skirt, but decided to wait. Pretty insignificant sale section -- lots of new fall items -- leopard cardigan, primrose cardigan, cashmere tees, etc

  55. Does anyone know if you still can apply your student discount along with free shipping via the red phone or even online (if using free shipping coupon)? TIA!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Priya Cherry & anyone else who saw the double serge skirt - Is it a fall version? Is it wool? TIA

  57. Did anyone see the Scattered Petals Tank in their nearest store? We didn't have it over here =/

Also, did anyone see the Grand Corsage top in other colors other than ivory at their store?

    ReplyDelete
  58. loudnproud0147 : i saw the Grand Corsage top in other colors at the J.Crew at Friendship in Washington, DC / Chevy Chase, MD.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Thanks for letting me know Cleo! I wonder why J.Crew doesn't have the other colors available online.

    ReplyDelete
  60. loudnproud0147 - Charleston, SC, has the corsage top in ivory, light green (sage, maybe?), and mauve (kind of a pale plum).

Jean - I pre-ordered a top from the store and specifically asked if I would get my teacher discount and free shipping and the cs told me yes. However, there was another girl in line who had ordered from the red phone and applied her student discount. She wanted to have the package sent to NY, but that added almost $40 shipping. When she had the package sent to SC, they charged no shipping. The manager didn't know why - they assumed shipping or discount.

  61. Yes...the double serge skirts were the fall versions -- they were wool. Felt just like last year's.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I asked my SA at my B&M store yesterday, and she said that you can still combine the free shipping/student discount on the red phone.

For those wondering about the fit of the schoolboy blazer, I got the size 2 petite and it fits true to size, for me at least. I'm usually a size 0 but I have a large chest so I usually have to size up. I'm short with a long torso and short legs. For me, the size 2petite is a little wide in the shoulders (and I have fairly wide shoulders) but at least it closes and I can button it across my chest! I have the butterscotch one in case the cloth makes any difference.

I went into the store and I got a ribbon tee, a peach/pink ethereal merino ruffle cardigan, a black sweater dress that goes down to my knees with pockets on the front (I didn't see it on the website) and a pair of black minnie pants--they fit great and I can tuck them into my boots, too!

I also saw some headache tees but I have been spending waaay too much money at this store. Still waiting for the professor blazer!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Thanks math teacher & snactres! I did call the SA and they told me the same thing... I guess I should just place my order via red phone instead of online unless they have promotion like 20% with free shipping (not for sale items). Some new items are already back-ordered till Nov!

    ReplyDelete
  64. Does anyone own the Featherweight Cashmere tunic? I am curious how it fits. TIA!!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Weird abstract rose things at the outlet in Jackson, NJ.... a sort of cotton jersey babydoll top, a summer cotton skirt (tried this on and it was running large- it is somewhat gathered with a set in wide below-the-waist waistband), also a probably cotton/rayon (did not check) loose weave summer scarf, and a sleeveless silky blouse with small ruffles at the neckline. I never saw any of these abstract rose items on line or in a catalog...I really like that print and if I did not have one of the fall/winter dresses, I might have gotten the cotton skirt.

    ReplyDelete
  66. pinkizpunk - I'm wondering how your PS suggested that you wear the Minnie pants? I tried them and thought they might have potential but not sure how to wear them.

jcrew1985 - I used to frequent the MOA store and I agree that Aaron is great!!

Has anyone seen the new wool shorts or tried them in a B&M? I saw the plaid ones online and put them in my shopping cart (with a message that they were back ordered) and was thinking about them but now they are gone. I went to the Garden State Plaza store in NJ about a week ago and they did not have them.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I went this weekend and picked up a few things. I loved the maya cardigan, picked that up in the amber. It's a perfect weight for transitioning to fall and is super cute on. I also picked up the sparkle rose tee in champagne. wore it in saturday and it already has a hole in the seam. Really J.Crew? you're going to charge $42.50 for a t-shirt and not even finish the seams? Luckily i can fix it easily, it's just annoying. Both the sweater and the tshirt pilled under the arms after one wear. super annoying. no one wants to pay that much for clothing to have it look like crap after the first wear. Anyway, I also picked up the rooster tee, which is pretty darn cute.

  68. coco - you might be able to excahnge/return those items with the hole and pilling. I once pointed out a hole in a jc tshirt to a SA and they let me exchange it for a new one. I had worn it and washed it several times! The SA said that they don't want people wearing jc brand clothes that have defects.

  69. MN2NY:

My PS told me to make sure I have a less fitted top or a longer top with the Minnies. If you wear like a Perfect Shirt and a Jackie Cardigan over it, it makes the pants look less "yoga-pant-ish"
Also, blazers and jackets go really well with it because it has a little bit of fit but it's not as straight as the pants.

I also tried wearing my pants with the Frances Ruffle top and the Evening Primrose cardigan over it. It looks really good because the ruffles distract from the straight pant leg.

My PS recommended one more idea: wearing it with a long cardigan/sweater such as the Michelle or Forever cardigan.

    Hope that helps! :)
