25% Off Swim, Shorts & Tees at J.Crew

"Thanks!" to  many of you, including GigisGoneShopping (in this post), who shared the following promotion from J.Crew.

J.Crew is offering 25% off swim, shorts and tees for the whole family with promotional code SUNNY. This offer expires March 16, 2014. The fine print includes:
*Offer valid on purchases of select swim, shorts & tees in J.Crew stores and at jcrew.com from March 12, 2014, 12:01am ET through March 16, 2014, 11:59pm ET. Offer applies to items listed in the 25% off swim, shorts & tees array at jcrew.com. In-store discount valid on select items as advertised. Offer not valid in Liquor Store or Ludlow Shops; in 769 Madison Avenue, Bloor Street or J.Crew Factory stores; at jcrewfactory.com; or on phone orders. Offer cannot be applied to previous purchases or the purchase of gift cards and cannot be redeemed for cash or used in combination with any other offer. In-store discount automatically taken at the register. To redeem online, enter code SUNNY in the promo code box at checkout. Limit one promo code per order. Offer valid in the U.S. and Canada only. Terms of offer are subject to change.
This promotion is great for the ladies who are interested in some new Spring arrivals, that have yet to be marked down.

With that said, J.Crew still has a major amount of stock in their Sale (click here to shop online) section online. There are over 1760+ for Women and 785+ for Men. Crazy amount of merchandise that is simply not moving without a promotion. Are brick and mortar stores still offering an additional percent off sale? Just curious...

Will you be taking advantage of this promotion? If so, please share!

  1. In addition to this promotion, the DC F St store is taking 30% off sale and 25% off jewelry and button downs.

  2. I had a lot in my cart, but resisted the last promo when almost everything was 25% off. I will definitely sit this one out.

  3. Just thought I would mention that the silver bow Vivs went on promo ($168 I think). If you have a VPS, s/he might match the additional 30% off sale going on in store. Makes the shoe a more palatable price!

  4. Not ALL of the swimsuits are included in this promo. So annoying.

    1. I don't understand why they did that when yesterday all the swimwear was included. Why do they think this is a better promo???
Anyway, in case someone is interested in the cubist print bikini (excluded), I posted a review yesterday in the reviews thread

    1. Ooh Gigi, the Callie looks good on you! I like the style of how the straps cross on the front. You are making me want the Callie but in silver -- and its on promo now! Currently running low in my 5.5 size, oh how I wished there was a % off sale.

I've always wanted silver shoes, but couldn't commit on the Viv because I have wide feet, and I know per suggestion of getting it a size above my usual will just slip off my feet.

    2. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try the silver Vivs...

    3. JSR - Now I know who has been snagging all the 5.5's from me !!!

    4. Ha, ha. I'm a shoe size 5.5, too, and I am forever watching stock disappear right before my eyes while I hem and haw over whether I need another new pair of pretty shoes.

    5. @Northshore Nan - I'm slow at snagging 5.5 shoes..they always sell out before I can save up enough money to buy.. :-P

@Clotted Creame - They need to stock more of 5.5, right? Its the size that ALWAYS sell out first - and we pay full price for it!! By the time the shoes go on sale, 5.5 is sold out! :-)

    1. I tried it and it fits TTS,but i could also size down if i wanted it tighter.
The fabric has a rayon-y feel amd thats what i didnt like about it and it shows all the lumps on the lighter colors. I liked the black one.

  7. The linen cubist tee in on promo in case anybody is interested and around $30 with the 25% off. I ordered it yesterday from a store to get the free shipping and I already received it (not sure if the overnighted it to me as a courtesy without telling me but it was crazy fast). I usually size down in linen tees but this one was much smaller than usual so I went tts. HTH someone!

    1. Definitely get something though -- if you aren't completely sold on it, make sure it isn't FS. You can always return and get a gift card, which does NOT expire...

  12. agree with the first commenter - my store in bethesda, maryland, in montgomery mall, was offering 30 percent off sale tonight, and would combine that with my 15 percent student discount. also saw some new markdowns, including the mint spike necklace for $99.99 and the scroll necklace for $49.99.

somewhat off topic, I have to admit that I'm pretty frustrated at myself for biting at the 25 percent off women's clothes/accessories promo just YESTERDAY, because what I purchased was all sale items that I only received for that 25 percent off without the student discount. if I had waited until today, I would have spent $40 less, because the percent off increased from 25 to 30 for sale items and my student discount would have applied. so annoyed. considering calling j. crew CS to just generally complain, but ultimately these pricing games can become such a waste of time.
