Today Only: 30% Off Select Spring Styles

"Thanks!" to many of you, who let us know about the following promotion this morning.

J.Crew is offering an additional 30% off select items at J.Crew with code SHOPSPRING. This offer expires today, March 31, 2014. The fine print for this offer includes:
*Offer valid on purchases of select spring styles at jcrew.com on March 31, 2014, from 12:01am ET through 11:59pm ET only. Offer valid only on items listed in the 30% Off Select Spring Styles assortment. Offer not valid in J.Crew or J.Crew Factory stores, at jcrewfactory.com or on phone orders. Offer cannot be applied to previous purchases and cannot be redeemed for cash or used in combination with any other offer. To redeem, enter code SHOPSPRING in the promo code box at checkout. Limit one promotional code per order. Offer valid in the U.S. and Canada only. Terms of offer are subject to change.
This promotion is great for those interested in the new arrivals. Even though it is a pre-selected amount of items on sale, it does include jewelry and handbags (pretty nice!) However, I am just feeling pretty blah about the promotion in general.

The Flower Fan Necklace is part of today's promotion. It looks super cute! But it did get me thinking... Is it just me, or is J.Crew's jewelry is on repeat lately. As in, they are producing variations of their variations.

Will you be taking advantage of this latest promotion? What are your thoughts on this sale? Are you loving the latest arrivals from J.Crew?

  1. I'm going to try the Maxi Tank Dress in Stripe (a2719). I'm not sure if I'll like the racerback, but the dress is cute enough that I'm going to try it. I just noticed this is rayon/spandex, but machine wash, hm. Anyone have this already? Did it wash up okay? Was it long, did it need hemmed? Thanks!

  2. Has anyone tried the prima cotton jersey tank? I love the kiwi color, but I'm not sure if I should get an XS or S. I have the vintage cotton tanks in an S, if that helps.

    1. FF, I bought the same size in these as my vintage cotton tanks. The pima cotton is a touch baggier on me and the armholes are similarly deep, just fyi

    3. Thanks for the help! I ended up with my regular size just in case it shrank, unless it's just too much, then I would exchange it.

  5. I'd be seriously tempted if free shipping, no limit was part of the offer. I'll sit this one out.

    2. I tried them a few weeks ago and found them very "blah"(and I got them for the promo price with an additional 40% off and returned them...didn't even feel they were worth the $100 I paid). I found the sequential suede bands somewhat unflattering to the foot. Also, after literally 2 minutes of wear the toe marks were terrible. I shudder to think about how these would hold up in spring/summer with heat and humidity. TTS, or maybe 1/2 size large.

  7. I ordered the lace-sleeve top since it's on promo for $59.50 + SHOPSPRING. I saw it on the way out over the weekend and couldn't try it on. The fabric was on the heavier side and I liked that. Looked good on the hanger.

I own some of the spring picks and have links to reviews of others. Check them out in this post.

  8. Huh. This morning one of the cashmere cardigans was on promo. Now it isn't. Any more Blue Light Specials lurking in there?

    1. I think there was a blue light special on free shipping this morning. I ordered but didn't meet the minimum, somehow got free shipping. It sounds like others didn't, though.

  9. Boy, they are pushing this promo. I got one email this morning and another one this afternoon. Guess this one did not generate too much business.

  11. I might officially be jcrewed out. I bought winter sale items way past my normal limit - partly the sales and partly the persistent ferocious winter weather. I've bought at least something from each roll-out, except this last one did little for me outside of the pink espadrille flats. None of the tops or jewellery out recently have turned my crank and those are usually my shopping weakness. Spring is here but it looks like my wallet will be getting a bit of a rest.
