"Looking to VENT" with J.Crew

This is the weekly "Looking to VENT with J.Crew" post, a place to share our not-so-stellar experiences with J.Crew.

If you have recently experienced a frustrating situation with J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Please feel free to share your story on almost any topic— including poor experiences with purchases & orders, promotions/ offers, in-store visits, transactions with store associates, etc.

  3. I was really hoping for some cotton sweaters but all I see is wool. Please J Crew, I want a cute cotton sweater for spring.

  4. I can't access my wish list. Is anyone else having this problem? I've been getting an internal service error for a couple of days.

  5. Placed several orders, all arrived damaged. One was a gift, and my giftee went to exchange it and was questioned at the store since the SA didn't see the problem with an item that had pieces of leather scratched and missing. She claimed the shoes were "wearable" like that. I guess after all, nobody looks at your feet, right? Embarrassing, really.

  6. I bought the Collection wool-cashmere peplum coat last winter. I got it at a great price, but it isn't wearing well even as my non-every-day winter coat. Anywhere the fabric has regular contact (cuffs, etc.), the wooliness is wearing away and leaving a slightly lighter woven fabric. It looks like I've had it for years. Just disappointing for something I expected to have for a few seasons.

  7. I am reaching out to the JCA community trying to do my own WWFIFY search!! I ordered (what I think) the last pair of Nora Calf Hair ballet flats in size 11, during the last 40% promo. When the UPS man came, the box was right but the shoes were not!! Does anyone out there have my shoes and perhaps were expecting a blue loafer (w/heel)??? Hoping that I have some JCA reading this has my Noras and I have their blue loafers.

    1. I would check your shipping label and see if it was shipped from Lynchburg or a J. Crew store. If it was a store, they might have the shoes in a different box still!

  8. Why are all my button up shirts splitting at the armholes or bust seams? It's not because the rack ( or lack thereof) is challenging the fabric I can tell you that! So frustrating! My keeper chambray, french hen, two linen perfect shirts- splitting with gentle wear!

    1. Quality has really gone down hill. I have beautiful button up shirts from 2005-7 that look and have worn better than any of their current ones. I no longer shop much at J.Crew sadly when I used to spend big $$ there:( So sad to see their decline over the past few years.

  9. Received yet another bungled order today. It's a case of right item, right size, wrong color. And of course it was a pop-back that's no longer available. When. Will. I. Learn?!

  10. kiwigem, that has happened to me, too. I am not at all busty and the shirts weren't tight. Work at a desk job all day so not like I'm wrestling alligators in these shirts. Has it stopped me from purchasing shirts from J Crew? No. I am a sucker for the prints/fabrics. I would send an email to Mr. Drexler. One of his assistants will get back to you; they are very responsive.

  11. I hate Fedex smart post!!! i don't care when my stuff is getting "delivered" to the post office, i care about when i get it it. An post office? sit on it for a few days why don't you....2 packages shipped from NY to NY 3 days ago and i don't expect to get them until Monday (although now the tracking no longer shows a delivery date)

  12. shocking! they actually came today, when i'm wrong i'm wrong but i still hate that usps doesn't update their smart post tracking.

so sad all that and my factory shorts have to go back...the mint is soooo pretty and soooo see through...pockets? check?check?check?check? panites? check. that's a big fat no....j crew!!! if you can see the pockets then its too thin! nobody want to see everything, really. not cute. i know its factory but the ombre mint shorts from retail had the same problem last year, that's why they still keep coming up on pop up @$54.99. J crew's shorts & bermuda's used to be so nice, great colors, thick twill. oh well, sigh.
