Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. Ok, now the new promo is here HAPPYSHOPPING for 25% off women's full-price and sale apparel and accessories. Also good in-store.

Offer not valid on denim styles, select Collection items or third-party branded merchandise.

    1. It is so funny how J.Crew says that the code doesn't work on denim or third-party. I just bought the Super Ciccio glasses and then tested the code on Goldsign jeans and some matchstick jeans, and the code works fine on all of them. Why do they say it won't work if it will?

      Delete
    2. I can corroborate that. I just purchased two third-party items along with a regular j.crew item and much to my surprise the code was applied to all three.

    3. Thank you KellyL-G and D*ska for that information!!!! I raced over to the website and ordered the Nike shoes and got the discount. I couldn't check out fast enough, lol!! Worried they'd change it before I could make my purchase.

    4. !!! Thank you all for sharing this! I just purchased a cart full of only third party merch and it worked!!! Ok now I'm really loving this promo :)

    7. Yeah, it is fixed now unfortunately. I'm glad I squeaked an order in...

  2. Yay! Been waiting for a promo like this...because I want to try the Collection Track Pant in Nightgarden Floral, the Collection Pencil Wrap Skirt in Photo Lace and the Reversible Lightweight Merino in dusk ivory..

  3. Glad to have a promo - my shopping cart is too full.

  4. reviews of the puff-sleeved blazer, diamond ikat shorts, and vintage silk-back tee HERE if anyone is interested. however, i wouldn't consider them even with this current promo.

i do like the lightweight merino tunic sweater and the hooded-basket weave jacket (reviewed HERE) and think they're worth it at 25% off (and if you can get a SA to stack the 15% off student/educator discount, that's even better).

    1. Thank you for the reviews! Were you the one who commented that the basket weave jacket was so great in rainy weather? Someone on here mentioned how perfect it was in the rain, but wasn't sure if it was this one or another. I'm going to give it a shot.

    2. Thanks for the reviews. I bought that striped long sleeve tee at full price because it was exactly the perfect fit and thickness for me and I knew I'd wear it right away. So I guess technically I could get a PA but I think I need to lay off the Crew the last couple of times SAs were saying how I was always there...

    3. I ended up buying the jacket and have been wearing it almost every day these past 2 weeks! It's perfect for California rain and has kept me nice and dry. It's actually been so functional, both my mom and sister are going to visit J Crew this weekend to try to buy it :P

I don't know if it's practical in places with less clement weather, but maybe it can be styled for mild spring days? The color is muted so I wouldn't wear it the way they portray it on the website, but maybe I just need to be more creative...

Anyway if you do try it I hope it works out well for you!

    4. Muffin - I liked the thickness of the shirt too! I'm so tired of sheer tees. You can try emailing J Crew CS requesting a PA; it's worked almost every time I've tried. But it's definitely something where I'm sure you'll wear it enough to get your $'s worth at FP anyway!

  5. So is JCrew no longer participating in Ebates (just factory?)

  6. I am checking out the Factory promo...25 percent off "warm weather styles." Can anyone tell me how their shorts fit as compared to retail? Thanks for any advice!

    1. I'm the same size in both so I'd say tts!

    2. They fit the same, in my experience, but I like the retail much better. Factory are thinner and wrinkle more.

      Delete
    3. I agree with cate, retail shorts are much nicer.
      Fit is the same.

    4. Sizing in factory is whackier. I had to get a 00 in the white shorts and a 0 in the navy shorts because they had the same waist measurement when I held them up! I ordered 0s in the 4" chinos from online and they were gigantic. I definitely recommend trying them on in store if you can.

  7. I got another lightweight merino tunic sweater in heather lavender this morning I already have it in haven blue and heather dusk it is my favorite sweater since the merino pocket tunic. I want the other bright blue color but it has been sold out in xxs.

  10. I'm headed to the factory store tonight for the first time in a long time. Does anyone know of any promos running in store?

  11. I'm tempted to try the stretch toothpicks in Miller wash and the metallic suede slingbacks. Can anyone comment on the fit of these items? I've never tried on a pair of JCrew denim but I like the wash.

    1. i reviewed the Miller toothpicks on my blog.
Found them true to size,i am usually a 26 in jeans and am also a 26 in the toothpicks in miller wash. I thought they were a little higher than the older toothpicks, but very soft and nice fit.

    2. The Toothpicks in Miller wash were great. I thought they were TTS. The stretch is great, so much more comfortable than any other pair of JC denim I've tried. The wash is really nice.

    3. Forgot to say, I agree with Ina about them being a bit higher rise. That is the only thing I don't like about them. They're kind of a mid-rise, not a high-rise, but they are noticeably higher than my other J. Crew denim.

  12. Reviews of the stripe sleeve T shirt (long sleeve) and the lightweight merino V neck sweater:

The stripe sleeve T (actually long sleeve) was a terrific buy at $14.99 in the recent sale. Substantial (thick)fabric - great feel. Fits TTS. Big thumbs up. (I got it in the navy/pack green).

The lightweight merino V neck has a more relaxed fit than a Tippi. For some folks this will be a layering piece given that it has a lower V neck than other JC sweaters and it is somewhat sheer, but I can imagine it being pulled off gracefully without something underneath too. In-between sleeve length - neither full length nor bracelet, a little odd but doable. Medium thumbs up, especially at $29.99. Midnight is a beautiful color.

  13. For some reason I can't reply, but thanks Ina! I think I'll give them a shot.

  14. No promo on the men's side, but George has a few new reviews. Includes the cotton cardigan.

  15. I went to my local store today and tried on a new pair of jeans...they were called "Reid Cropped Jeans" and described as having a skinny straight fit. I thought the new stretch material was SUPER comfortable...I ended up buying them. I just wish the rise wasn't so high! But overall I definitely prefer the new jean fabric.

    1. wow...wait until your my age ...you will love the higher rise... By the way how much were they and were they a dark or light denim color ? As you can tell...I am interested and wondering if they will ever be available online ? Thanks .

      Delete
    2. I guess you just like what you get used to...I'm used to low rise so the higher rise is something I'll have to adjust to. I'd say they were a medium blue....definitely not dark.

The SA said they were brand new so I'm guessing they will end up on the website at some point!

      Delete
    3. There will probably be a mini-rollout online this coming Wednesday (3/12), since they seem to be coming every 2 weeks or so.

      Delete
    4. Yeah, I think I remember the SA saying there would be new arrivals on 3/17

      Delete
    5. I tried them on, but the rise was too high for me. I'm going to sit out this trend, years if that's what it takes ;)

      Delete
    6. Update: I wore these jeans today, and although they did stretch out, they are SO much more comfortable than my other JC jeans. The high rise took no time to adjust to...and actually fits the hips much, much better than any other jeans I've ever tried!

  17. Hey ladies! I'm looking for the "blah blah" tshirt from a while ago - has anyone seen it in a small or xsmall in their b&m? My VPS apparently became unable to search b&m stores when it went on final sale....thanks!

  18. Does anyone know if the Stone burst pearl necklace (#a8010) is part of a jewellery promo other than the global promo? I kept reading about in-case or out of case jewellery being on promo a few days back - is that still on? Also, did anyone go to a B&M today? Are they not doing an extra percentage off sale anymore? Thank you so much for any info you can give me!

    ReplyDelete

    1. Unknown - Didn't go to a b&m today. Yes, jewelry has been on 25% promo. My guess is it's still 25% and now they've simply added more products at 25% off.

I'd be surprised if they're doing 25% off + 25% off. I believe the legalese says the prices will automatically ring up at the register. So it's not like the items ring up at 25% and then the SA will scan a 25% off everything bar code.

Sale is an addtl 25% off, like it is online. Don't know if it's still final sale or not. However, now that I say that, I would think they're going to have to scan a 25% off code for the sale items. Unless they have everything coded to ring up automatically at an addtl 25% off.

This has to be sounding like a shell game. lol Hope someone can chime in w/real store experience. :)

    2. If the jewelry promo is still on I think it would stack. I bought a pair of earring and the 20% came off automaticas during the jewelry promo but I think they need to scan a code for the general 25% off to apply. But my guess is the all the other promos ended before this one.

  20. in desperate need of a JCA search - if anyone sees the Navy Evie sandals in a 8.5 or 9 pls let me know!

I did a WWFIFY for them & rcvd an email that they found them but after a week w/o confirmation I contacted JC & three emails later it was discovered that before the store could process my shoes they were sold *tear*

  21. I got the email about the curator pants today and have heard JCA love for them. What's the difference between curators and Eatons? TIA!

  22. Made it to a Factory store. It seems that just about everything is 30 to 50% off and clearance is an extra 60% off. I also checked out the Factory Field jacket as many JCAs have reported that Factory has been carrying the retail version. The jacket has the double diamonds on it which means it was made for Factory and is not retail.

    1. My field jacket arrived from the factory store. They do have an inventory of retail field jackets. They can search for it with the retail item number. Mine has no double diamond and the item number matches retail. $75 + tax. Shipping was waived.

    2. That's so weird! My store only had the Factory version. I recently bought the retail version for around $75 with recent promos but would've been irked if not.

    3. I was able to purchase the retail version at my factory store back in December for $45... Consider it one of my best finds :)

    4. my downtown field jacket in navy arrived in the mail from the factory store, and it is indeed the retail version :) it's marked spring 13 with the retail style number and the wax coating is beautiful! i know the outlets in nj still have some if anyone has been eyeing it!

    5. Does anyone know if any of the outlets have the retail one in green? I have the navy, but would like the green, if I could grab it for this price. Thanks so much!

  23. I stopped in my factory store today. Jewelry was 40% off, blazers were 40-50% off, accessories were 50% off, ballet flats were 50% off, the Frankie chinos were 40% off, the sleeveless blouses were 50% off, and clearance was 40% off...from what I can remember. I tried on the 3/4-sleeve eyelet top and hated the fit on me. Also tried the Frankie chinos but didn't like how bunchy the pockets looked.

  24. on the first days of this promo, the new balance 620 women's sneakers were included, but all sizes were sold out. now that the new balance sneakers are back in stock in some sizes, they're "excluded from promo." so infuriating.

  25. I stopped in my local store today and picked up a pair of the Emma leather flats in black. I am still not 100% sold on them. I plan to try them on a few more times with different clothes in my closet. I told the SA how bummed I was that the Cece's were phased out. Apparently they are telling everyone that these flats are much better than the Cece's but I disagree. Cece looked so much more elegant and grown up on my foot. These remind me of flats I have seen at Target. I mean, don't get me wrong, the quality is better, but they are just like so many others out there. Also ordered two pair of 5 inch chino shorts since the stores near me do not carry that length.
