This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale
items at our
various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If
you are stopped
by a J.Crew store this past weekend
to see what's available (if
anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS
{sigh!} in person, maybe you
might be willing to
share that with us in this post. In
particular, if you could share
with us a few of the noteworthy items
that are available, at what
prices, and potential sizes the
store is carrying (as well as the
store location)- that would be
fantastic!
Also, please
let us know if your local store
was/ is carrying an additional
percent off sale. Thanks in
advance!!! :)
Sale items are 40% off in stores. New arrivals should be in tomorrow, I was told.
ReplyDeleteSome Factory reviews here.
I actually didn't go to a store this weekend. I did receive the tailored wool sweatpants and love them in the 4. I reviewed them here in size 6. Interestingly, they look like the meander pant eleased in 2011.
ReplyDeleteNew Factory reviews incl the bike print Charley, medallion print sweatshrt, popover & shirtdress ovah heah.
I stopped in and got the Military Pocket Shirt for $39.99 minus 40% off. Really like it, especially at that price! I also got the Crinkle Boy Shirt in Red Check (can't remember the price but it was good).
ReplyDeleteYou got a great deal on the military pocket shirt, Cate! I've been wearing mine belted over black pixies with black riding boots. I'd be curious to hear how you & other JCAs are styling the shirt.
DeleteIt got a lot of love from JCAs but it's one of those things you've got to try on to see. It doesn't look like much in stock photo, but I like the substantial fabric and the color is surprisingly flattering. I am not sure how I'll wear it yet.
DeleteThe girl in j crew was wearing it with a tan shirt under, the military shirt partially buttoned up, black Minnie's, and leopard flats. I bought her whole outfit after seeing it!
DeleteTheir are a few outfit suggestions on Polyvore that you could check out. One had it paired with the Peony Tee that was so popular last year. Two things I've bought recently that I think it looks good with are the Drapey Elbow Sleeve Tee in Mauve Blush and the grey/ivory striped Tissue Turtleneck.
DeleteI got it too for the $30 price online and love it!! One SA was wearing it w/a white t-shirt underneath, black Minnies and tall boots and it looked really cute. I'm going to wear it that way and add the tassel necklace that I grabbed for $25. I'm also going to wear it w/that adorable black t-shirt w/the gold foil heart from Factory underneath, skinny jeans and black boots of some type - probably motorcycle type. I also got that black/gold heart t-shirt on a pop-back for a song. I paid the $5 to ship it b/c it was such a steal, so cute and tough to catch.
DeleteThanks so much for the styling ideas, these are great!
DeleteStopped by the KOP store, lots of sales including the peacock coat in brilliant flame which is still full price online. INterestingly, the lace trim top in the blush color was higher priced in store than online.
ReplyDeleteNot an in-store purchase (brrrr, too cold to go outside!) but I snagged the invitation clutch in the henna color this morning with the 40% off. I've been eyeing this guy for months now, and when I saw it pop up in the sale section this morning, I had to grab it. I paid $5 for shipping because I was too scared it would leap out of my cart before I could add some sort of ride along.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like I fretted for nothing because its still showing in the sale section.
OK, with everyone raving about the military pocket shirt, I had to get it. I saw it at the K.C. store and almost got it after Christmas but didn't. Based on everyone's comments, here, though, and the great price online (I'm paying $29.99, which is final sale), I thought it would be too good to pass up. Minimally, I can use it to wear around the house, walking the dog, etc. Also picked up the embroidered bib peasant top, which was also significantly reduced. The one thing that wasn't part of the sale was the varsity dress- I got it anyway, though, b/c it's so damn cute looking! Can always return that one if it's not worth the $98. No way I'm venturing out to a store today in Chicago-- it's -12 degrees!
ReplyDeleteI didn't venture to the mall but I did do some online shopping...picked up some jewelry, the crystal brooch necklae, crystal triangles bracelet and the crystal and metal necklace (the sort of scallop one with the crystals). So I'm excited for some new jewels (hopefully they all ship!)
ReplyDeleteHeads up on the Darby suede loafers in Navy. They arrived and they are definitely not navy. I pulled out my Darby suede loafers in the Blue Sea color and these Navy ones are exactly the same color as the Blue Sea. What the heck, J. Crew? I looked closer at the web photo and it doesn't look like navy there, so my bad, I guess. Anyway, all they did was rename their Blue Sea color to Navy.
ReplyDeleteAn anon shared that you can save $25 off $100 with American Express, depending on your card type. She pointed out that the Hughes satchel (review) nets $95 after SHOPHAPPY & the $25 off.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the info!
Fluted skirt in double crepe in black on md in Canadian stores, $99.99 + 40 percent off. Reg price online and in US stores I believe!
ReplyDeleteI have a question for Toronto JCA's. What's your favorite J crew store? The Eaton Centre one is the closest to me but often I get better deals online (I know sad:( Any advice would be appreciated!
DeleteOT and most probably common knowledge to experienced JCAs. But I did a WWFIFY almost 2 weeks ago and assumed it had not been found. But today got an email that it had been found and shipped. I was curious if it had been restocked and typed in the style # 07559 and it came up but it did not show up under category in the sale section. Sorry long explanation but if you are looking for something specific on a pop back I would type in the item number not just look in the sale section. The infamous pear bracelet still not showing up but is still available for $24.99 with 40% off and some folks are selling them on EBay for over $60.00
ReplyDeleteDidn't visit, but my Louisa dress arrived in the misty rose. Got it with the 40% off coupon and probably will wear it to parties this spring and summer.
