does anyone here own the stretch wool motorcycle jacket, and if so does it run TTS please or is it like other jcrew coats where one needs sizing up for shoulder/bust? I have to size up in every single j crew coat. But this is a jacket, but then again it says "shrunken"... thoughts, please? and thank you! i'm DYING to get this and have been eyeing it for months, so if i could snag it with the % off that would be so lovely.
gracefully - I don't own the stretch motorcycle, but I tried it on in this post. I am a 4 or 6. Usually almost always a 6 these days, but fit the 4 very well. So take the smaller of your 2 sizes if you vacillate between. I don't have shoulder considerations, but mine aren't small and my bones are not thin. Hope the review helps!
Gracefullly I have this jacket and love it. I got it in my normal size and I have plenty of room to layer underneath. I don't think I would describe the jacket as "shrunken". I am surprised J Crew included that in the description. It's not necessarily big or boxy but I wouldn't say shrunken. If you want to layer underneath I would say stick to your normal size. I don't think you need to size up.
I have this jacket too and took my schoolboy and normal coat and blazer size. I could have sized down but there would be minimal room to wear layers...HTH!
thank you gig, 312, snowbrdgrl - that was very helpful! you guys are great for my wardrobe (and my ego when things fit right and look great based on your advice), but my bank account is actively scowling at all you spiffily-dressed, fellow j crew fans. :) thank you!

They know how to make it too easy to stock up on their merino Charley sweaters ...

DeleteI have it and love it!! Very comfy and stylish. I usually wear a S in shirts and a 27 in jeans, and I got a size 2...fits perfect.
