Weekly Share: Other JCrew-like Retailers

This is the weekly "Other JCrew-like Retailers" post (similar to the "Off On A Tangent" posts), where we can share our finds from other retailers that have offerings similar to J.Crew (like Anthropologie, LE Canvas, Gap, BR, Talbots, Ann Taylor, and the like.)

If you have recently encountered items that are similar to J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Please feel free to share your story on almost any topic— including experiences with certain merchandise pieces, promotions/ offers, in-store visits, transactions with store associates, etc.

  1. I have had the craziest and most frustrating experience with Anthropologie: I have ordered a particular color dress three times and each time received the wrong color dress, despite trying to sort it out each time with customer service. I finally connected with a supervisor who seems to be the only person there who could solve the rather simple stock labeling problem. I am now awaiting order and dress number four! They were apologetic and provided expedited shipping, but no small gift card a la J.Crew. Mind numbing experience.

  5. I bought a Heattech turtleneck from Uniglo and am impressed! It's a great underlayer and keeps me warm. Also, I bought an Everlane cashmere sweater and it's really great for the price of $125. Highly recommend!

  7. I really like the cashmere sweaters from Gap this year. I have two of the crewneck pullovers and one cardigan. They are thick and plush and I love them. Had to order a "tall" size in the crewneck as it was running small and short. Also went up one size in the cardigan and it fits great. Some of the colors are gorgeous. I've worn my gray pullover quite a few times and no pilling.

  8. Click here for a short list of the current sales at various retailers. Of note are the $49 Corso Como boots at My Habit. And not on sale, but a new scrub I tried by Frankbody. Thumbsup from me. Free shipping if you're in the U.S.
