J.Crew Updates Website with New Arrivals!

"Thanks!" to many of you, who let us know that J.Crew had an update to its website yesterday morning (click here to view online). (Apologies for not posting about this yesterday too. I had the stomach flu and was in bed all day.)

There are some new arrivals for men (click here) & women (click here). {wahoo!} It looks like Crewcuts (click here) has been updated, but not the J.Crew Collection (click here).

The DECEMBER catalog (click here to view) is up. Wondering if they will put up a new catalog anytime soon...

January is not my favorite month for offerings at J.Crew. J.Crew tends to focus on Spring/Resort wear and I am still stuck on Winter because of where I live. However, the one item that caught my eye is the Layering vest with Primaloft® (item B8448; $98.00). I do love the look of vests!

What items are you most excited about and why? Which items are you surprised (or not surprised) to see? Which items did you hope would be included? Were you expecting a bigger roll-out? Also, did you receive the latest catalog? :)

  1. I hope a JCA spotted and bought the Vans slip-on shoes in bronze this morning… they were sold out when I looked, but the price was marked (probably mistakenly) at $9.99! Then 40% off of that would have made these a major bargain!

    2. Jruby18, try the Vans or Piperlime web sites. You'll pay full price ($60) but they likely have them in stock. I stalked them for a while too before I just ordered them from the Vans web site.

  2. I really liked the look of that vest, but the reviews said that it was NEON orange. Boo!

    1. Lands' End has an almost identical PrimaLoft vest in a more muted reddish/orange that is $10 less and probably better quality. They have a jacket version and a packable vest version as well that I'm interested in trying.

  3. I hope you're feeling better today Alexis. I like the vest too. I had to really look for the new arrivals and only really noticed three new items in the knits and tees category. Was also wondering if there will be a catalog this month.

    1. I asked about the catalog yesterday while doing returns. The SA said new arrivals will be in store on the 26th and he expects a catalog to be out at that time.

    2. So its a February catalog? I can't wait. I'm tired of looking at the winter merchandise...

Two more weeks of waiting...that's harsh.

  4. I think this has come up before when it was announced, but I have to say: Birkenstocks? Really? Yuck. Oh, how I miss the old J. Crew.
I hope you feel better Alexis. Thanks for this site. I just discovered it, and love it. Keep up the good work.

  5. I thought I might see some new arrivals when I checked out the large Soho store in Manhattan while on a business trip this week. A few items were there, but they were hard to find amidst the dregs of the winter stuff. The store was a huge mess. This location is billed as a collection store, but other than some Apiece Apart items the only collection items I saw were in the vast sale section (on the floor often as not). I was in the mood to spend, but I purchased only socks. If this store visit had been my first J Crew experience, I would never, ever go back.

I'm not sure why J Crew is choosing to write off January.

    1. A lot of people are in the mood to spend right now, like you said, but they're offering very little to buy. Writing of January is a big miscalculation, I agree.

    2. I was in the store today (to do a return) and it was completely empty - both of clothes and customers. Bizarre. The sale section was also pathetic.

    3. The store I visited yesterday had very little going on. The sale section was icky. Those wrinkled, stretched out t-shirts and pilly sweaters are not going to sell, no matter the price. I wanted to buy something new but found absolutely nothing intriguing. Guess I'll wait two weeks and see if any of the new arrivals hold promise. Very disappointing holiday season for me and I'm hoping for better this spring.

  6. I have never seen an uglier selection of shoes in my life. Where's the glamour? Where's the femininity?

  7. Hi all - I'm throwing some old January catalog images up on my Insta if you want to reminisce.

    1. Just saw the pictures -- and you are breaking my heart! I miss my old J. Crew! Why have they turned the cutest clothes into such a sad, androgynous mess.

  8. I've just looked at the new arrivals, and my reaction can be summed up by my misreading of one of the Hugo Guinness phrase tees. Until I looked more closely, I could have sworn that the shirt said "wincing" (it really says "winking").
