J.Crew's February 2015 Catalog on Pinterest

"Thanks!" to TeriLynn13 (in this post), Silver Lining (in this post), as well as JSR (in this post), who let us know that there are a few images from the February 2015 catalog on Pinterest. (Click here for J.Crew on Pinterest.)

Right now the images are from the men's section of the catalog. Keep checking back during the day to see more photos being uploaded. J.Crew tends to post in reverse order of the catalog (men's, crewcuts, weddings, then women).

On a bright note, this should mean the catalog is available in J.Crew stores. Plus new arrivals are slated to show up this week, Wednesday, January 28.

Also, "thanks!" to GigisGoneShopping (in this post), who let us know that she has a preview of the women's collection over at her "J Crew January 2015 Preview" post that is definitely worth checking out.

What are your thoughts on the upcoming collection? Are there any pieces you are super excited about? Does your local store carry any of the new arrivals yet? If so, please share!

  1. I am keeping my fingers crossed that a wonderful JCA might be able to wrestle with a SA and scan us the new stuff. This is like the "spy" world isn't it !!! are they guarding these guides so there will be no leaks? Pinterest is such a tease....because it is so slow......

    1. LOL, it can be a wrestling match. I'd love to see more of the new guide, if anyone succeeds in getting on to scan.

  2. Greetings JCAs - I picked up a February 2015 Style Guide at my local B&M last night. Spring is here, or at least it will be in stores on Monday. I predict the Roxie Glossy Leather Pump in Brilliant Sea and the Mirror Metallic D'Orsay Flat will sell out fast. New pants - Martie, Ryder, and Campbell Trouser, which looks like 2015's version of the Bristol Trouser in Stretch Cotton. There is a new Downing Hobo and a cute Parker Crossbody. On the fence with the open-toe, chunky heel Marlow Mule - fashion forward or 90's throwback? Firework Floral is February's "big print" - I think the items with the white (not navy) background have sequins on them. The experiments with the Tilly Sweater and Regent Blazer continue with a Tilly Cardigan and the Regent in Chambray plus Black, Navy, and Faded Teak Wool. I do not like that Regent collar - so glad I invested in a bunch of Schoolboys in 2013-2014! There is a Stand Collar Leather Jacket which may never go on promo, but it's really cool looking in Navy and Classic Ivory - could be worth full price. Plus some pretty jewelry, which is my gateway drug to J.Crew. Cheers - Jennifer

  4. This is like watching paint dry - it won't take nearly as long for me to flip through the paper catalog once and throw it in the recycling bin. ; )

  6. Lake Forest IL gave me a catalog today but I did have to pry it out of their hands, so if you venture in to a B&M, ask. They have them. I have no idea why they have to treat the catalogs like a controlled substance!

  11. Few pics on my instagram... same name..... For me, catalog was just so-so. I was hoping for more vibrant prints and colors. There are some gorgeous cashmere and merino colors. I just can't wear them in South Florida. More jeans.... tees..... poly..... not feelin' it. BUT, I'm sure I will find a few must have pieces. I still am stuck on the Crewlade!

  12. Am I missing something? So far, all I see on Pinterest is girls and men's.

    1. No. You're not missing anything. Jcrew posts the catalog backwards so women's clothing will be last to post on Pinterest. Some of the ladies here seem to have gotten their hands on catalogs already or received pics from their VPS.

    2. By the time the catalog finishes loading the women's stuff it won't be worth calling in to preorder.

  13. I hope the Feb and spring items for J.Crew will deliver. It's been boring lately. Please, please give some color pops? What happened to great berry or fuchsia tones?

Have you seen Marissa Webb's Banana Republic spring items. I am going to visit BR to check them out. They look like the J.Crew items that I loved:

    2. Here's some other looks. See how it looks like the J.Crew over the last 10 years with some fresh twists and earlier BR looks (look at the slide show below):

    4. I'm very interested in what they have to offer and I hope maybe a website redesign will come with it. I don't know what it is about their site but for some reason it just doesn't appeal to me. Same thing with the Gap although Old Navy is a bit better. I often visit Loft's site even though their clothes and I can't always be friends but it's a cheerful place to be. BR, not so much for me anyway.

  14. Thanks for the mention, Alexis :)

I'm not into this rollout so far. I can deal with some of the polyester at the retailers, but not all of it. If I'm buying it, I'm looking more at Forever 21 for their very palatable prices. Also many of their pieces are machine wash or handwash, whereas many of J. Crews have been dryclean.

    1. so far 90 pins on pinterest. The models look so messy. the outfits as well. .my hopes have been undelivered. They must be able to have better backgrounds then shown...its hard to even see the pieces. Oh well J Crew doesn't seem to listen to its customers.

    2. so far not much jewellery. I hope there is more.

    3. Hmmm - not feeling the practicality of a jumpsuit.

What ever happened to pencil skirts? It seems like they've shifted away from the preppy with a punch that made them special.

  15. It's an improvement I think, but not much of one. A little more color, a little more tailoring. There are a few pieces I am interested in, which is better than the past couple of rollouts

    1. Also, I tried on one of the new Regents yesterday. First time. It was awful. It looks like a home ec project with an unfinished collar and placket. So unflattering and inexpensive looking. I will take a Schoolboy any day compared to the regent!

  16. anyone know the item # and price for the bar collar necklace? TIA!

  17. I see a lot of the same - short, boxy sweatshirts, dropped shoulder seams, high-low hems, very short skirts. Funny that none of the images show a model wearing those Marlow mules.

Between a Nor’easter bearing down on my area and the fact that it’ll be at least 2-2.5 months till I can wear spring clothes, I’ll be looking but not purchasing.
