"Looking to LOVE" with J.Crew

  1. I bought some merino Cielo cardigans when they were on sale and probably applied %-off promos too, I was driven mostly by price, but now that I'm wearing them I'm really liking them. I removed the ruffles. I love my other lightweight merino cardigans too, the Jenna's and the older Marzipans. I hope J Crew continues to produce cardigans in this knit in the future. They look neat, hold their shape, hardly wrinkle at all, don't pill, fit easily under jackets, and are light enough to be comfortable in the office. The Marzipans were really the best though, IMO, I wish J Crew would just bring them back in a zillion different colors.

  3. I recently bought 5 Baird McNutt linen shirts for the men in our wedding line using a 20% off coupon. Two weeks later, they went on sale for 30% off. I contacted customer service, and they were very accommodating to do a one-time courtesy price adjustment to fit the sale. This saved me so much trouble from having to return them and purchase them again to get the sale price. Every little bit helps when trying to stick to a wedding budget! Was very impressed. Just makes me love J. Crew even more! :)

  4. Jen, it was nice of them to do that. The alternative would have been for you to send back the original shirts and re-purchase them with the 30% off promo. It's nice that J Crew didn't make you jump through that hoop, especially when you have a wedding pending and you're very busy with the preparations. This is why they should do price adjustments routinely.

  5. I was out of town this past weekend, and on Sunday, I went to the B&M where I was visiting and bought quite a lot of sale merchandise. Of course, the next day the additional 30% off promo started. Well, I just took my receipt to my local B&M and told the manager. She returned/repurchased everything for me without batting an eye. The only thing she asked was if the other store carried more items than they did.
