J.Crew Email: NEW STYLES ADDED TO SALE & FREE SHIPPING ENDS TODAY

"Thanks!" to many of you, including tamara (in this post), Fabulous Florida Mommy & Elizabeth in MO (in this post), as well as Gi (in this post), who let us know the following news.

J.Crew is extending their offer for free shipping on all your orders (no min!) with promo code FREESHIP. This expires tonight now.

Also, new styles have been added to their Spring Sale (click here to shop online). I was able to catch the update this morning. In case anyone is curious, it was a decent update, but not a major one.

Are you excited the FREESHIP promo is extended? Have you been taking advantage of it? If so, please share!

  1. I'd only be excited if the one item I wanted would pop back in my size! I've been trying to catch the Schoolboy canvas blazer in a size 4 for days now...oh well!

  2. Can one of you wonderful early bird JCA's please tell if you've noticed the Elena Lace Shift dress show up in a size 10 recently... Thought I'd leave it for last since it was one of the pricey items on my list and now I haven't come across it in weeks.
    Thanks a bunch!

  3. @AppGal: I second that. I want the starfish dress in a size 4. Wishful thinking!

  4. I think it's great that they extended the free shipping another day. I hope they'll offer this same promo again in the near future.

  5. I'm tempted by the merino-linen cardigan but I can't find any reviews on it. Does anyone out there have it and can comment? Thanks!!

  6. I am happy that they extended it one day, I had regrets yesterday night but couldn't drag myself to the computer. I will order the wave tank and/or petites victoires tee by the end of the day, methink.

  8. If ANYONE has a 10 or a 12 in the Weekend dress please let me buy it from you! I ordered it from JCrew and they sent me a crappy bathing suit instead. Can't help me at all since it is "sold out." I tried the 8 and it is just too short for me.
    Thanks!!

  9. Well, I caved last night and bought the ink-dip popover and the linen bermuda jacket at full price. Both items are now sold out in the size and color I ordered so I guess I lucked out for a change - if they ship.

  10. ooo, I love the ink dip popover. I'm going to see if they have my size. Do you order perfect shirt sizes or did you order up ;>

  11. I am all shopped out for now.

  12. I had one last bathing suit I had my eye on, and this is just the incentive I needed to go for it! (Seersucker underwire tank in size 2, charcoal, on sale! I can't resist!)

  13. pathos, I ordered a SU in the ink-dip popover after reading a couple of comments/reviews that it ran slightly small. I hate anything tight that has to pull over my head and I need room in the bust. Love the colors on that shirt.

  14. Beatrice blouse in the oliv-ish color is 59.99 in store. The Tessa linen cami in orange is 44 something (not sure about the other colors, they only had one). The chambray Dorrie was on sale too (same price than online) but not the wave tank. HTH!

  15. Heyyy, this topic has been resurrected! That's a good sign.

  16. do you think this will be followed by some percent off final sale??

    ReplyDelete
  17. I actually went through old posts here to see how frequent the %-off promos occur. This is by no means scientific, and I don't guarantee accuracy. :) But if this year is similar to last year, May might be a slightly dead month. There was a 20% sale promo, and then immediately after that there was a 20% off everything promo (with min, of course). No 30% off or better. But it is time for a %-off promo, right about now I say. :)

I was really hurt when I saw the two posts about 40% off sale items in January of this year, this was before I became addicted to the shoes and a few clothing items and I probably could have gotten all I want for dirt cheap then! (sigh)

  18. Don't feel too badly, tamara. Back then they were final sale so you would have been stuck with anything that didn't work out.

You need to start a blog so you can show off all of your new goodies!

  19. I agree, Tamara, I would love to see you do a Blog ! I agree, a good % off promo MUST be on the horizon. On another note, I have the dark blue silk Blythe blouse and I am looking for some styling ideas. I don't wear jeans much. TIA.

  20. Kristin, you're right, I would have been stuck with a lot of things that don't fit, and then I would have ordered my correct size after that so I would have ended up with double everything. :)

I would never have the stamina to do a blog. I have a lot of admiration for Alexis maintaining this great blog day in and day out for 3 years!! I'd probably abandon mine after 3 weeks. :) I might take a picture of my greatest ever shoe and boot collection and use it as my Blogger picture though.

I just looked for info about how many shoes the average woman owns. One recent article says 17. I think that's low! Every woman I know (including my mother) owns more than 17. I'm guessing my total is somewhere between 30 and 40, shoes and boots together.

Shekster, is it the dark navy? This catalog image shows a dark blue top with light heather grey bottom and cobblestone Coddingtons, I think the colors look awesome together. I also think dark blue on top with dried rose on the bottom looks very nice. I don't wear jeans much either.

  21. tamara, 17 pairs of shoes is really what the average woman owns?! I had more than that in high school, LOL I have been called several names because of my large shoe collection, Imelda being one of the nicer names and I won't mention the worst.

Of course my friends and family just tease me and most of them love shoes too. I mainly post shoes on my blog since I love them so much and my husband basically forbids me to post IRL photos of myself, although I have put up a couple with my head cut off. hehe. Would love to see a photo of your shoe collection too.

  22. I probably own more than 17 pairs of shoes and boots but I don't wear many of them anymore. I probably rely on about 10 of them. Plan on weeding out the ones I don't wear and sending to Goodwill.

I own too many pairs of flips and Birks to count though:)

I am (horror) someone who HATES to shoe shop!

  23. I think I underestimated, I think I have somewhere in the 50-60 range. That's all shoes, not just J Crew, and includes some duplicates (backups of the ones I wear most often). The total did increase significantly with the addition of a of the J Crew shoes the past several months. Is there some number at which a person should seek help?? And I'm not done yet! There are still more J Crews I'd like to get, black Loxley platforms, olive moss Streamers, Wylders, another pair of Britten tall flat boots as a backup, leather Coddingtons.

I will take a picture of all of the J Crew shoes. The Emellines should be here on Monday, I'll wait til they arrive. I can't decide which pair is my most prized possession. I love the Britten boots, and the various colors of Lindys and Collins are so pretty (especially the mossy oak suede Collins), the Flannery peep toes are super cool, but I think the ones I love the most are the black Gibson heels. They're so beautiful, they look like velvet, and they're so flattering on the feet. They're also versatile, appropriate for day or night.

  24. BTW, I was on J Crew's web site from before 4:30am CDT until shortly after 5am. I saw a few updates, not much. They seem to be doing them earlier that past week, used to be around 4:45am CDT but now they're happening before 4:30am. Earlier is actually better for me, then I can go back to bed and get a couple more hours of sleep.

  25. Thanks Tamara, it is the dark navy blouse. I love both suggestions ! Oops, I put it under the wrong post. Sorry !

  26. Any of the shoes addicts out there know what the bronzed avocado looks like IRL (specifically the Julienne leather heels in that color)? Is it more green or mustard-y? I own a shirt in that color but not sure of what to expect in terms of shoes. TIA!

  27. Like a good junkie, and against my better judgment, I was up super early this morning checking for popbacks. I've learned that Sunday is usually not the best day for updates and this morning was no exception. There might have been a few, but I didn't spot any. However, two Mondays ago was a mega update and I scored a couple of great things, so I'm wondering if tomorrow will be the same. :) I have to get up at 6am for a trip and don't really want to get up at 4 or 4:30 to check for popbacks because I probably won't be able to go back to bed and get any reasonable amount of additional sleep. Conundrum!

  28. Hi Ema, I recall looking at those shoes and I found an IRL pic on the blog 8 Hour Brunch and they have a yellowish tone. Hope this helps !
Tamara, do you want me to keep an eye out for you tomorrow in case I am up at 2:30 am? Seriously, some nights I just cannot sleep. I would not mind helping a fellow JCA on her mission !

  31. OK Tamara I have your list. You don't need to pay me anything extra. I am happy to help. :)

  32. We should set up a phone alert system. :) Whoever notices the updates should call the other people, just let the phone ring once and then hangup. :) (I'm sure spouses/partners wouldn't be too thrilled unless they too are J Crew Junkies.)

  34. Wow, that was a big update. The sale shoe section went from 93 to 145! Lots of older things popped back, and some of my target items too, just not in my sizes. :( But I did buy a pair of the short Brittens, the next best thing to the talls, and I'm glad that $100 min free ship code is still in effect since they didn't qualify for the $150 min code. Shekster, I hope you were up and found some things you were looking for! I'm going back to bed to try to sleep for a little less than an hour, it's probably not going to happen. :)

  35. I cancelled the Brittens and ordered two jackets instead, I'm hoping at least one will work as a nice jacket to wear to work when it's too warm to wear a trench coat and not warm enough to go without a jacket completely. I have to say that was one impressive update. Black Lindys in size 7?? The leather Lindys have been sold out for like 2 months!
