J.Crew Email: Cardmembers only: 20% OFF & FREE SHIPPING, just in time for new arrivals

"Thanks!" to many of you, including Lolo, Sarah, nlymburner & LauraK (in this post), JCK (in this post), as well as Irina & Erika, who shared the following news & email from J.Crew today.

The email announces that new arrivals are at JCrew.com. More interesting is that this email indicates J.Crew is sending select cardmembers a one-time unique 20% off AND free shipping code. The code is only good if customers use their J.Crew credit card for the order placed before the end of Monday, May 30, 2011. The fine print includes:
*Subject to credit approval. One-time use offer valid on purchases made online at jcrew.com using your J.Crew Credit Card only through Monday, May 30, 2011, 11:59pm ET. Free shipping offer is valid on Internet orders shipped via regular shipping (3 to 6 business days). Savings and free shipping are applied at checkout. Enter code at checkout to redeem. Offer may not be combined with any other promotion and does not apply to previous purchases, alterations or the purchase of gift cards. Offer does not apply toward third-party branded merchandise. Great incentive for J.Crew to offer its cardmembers! Did they read the "What Would You Recommend {at J.Crew}" post today? Just kidding. ;)

  4. Sigh, I'm really glad that they are finally making good on their promise for special cardholder sales, but there is nothing in my cart!

    To echo what another JCA said on the earlier thread, I need most of my purchases to work in at least a business casual atmosphere but just about all of the new offerings seem so sloppy to me. I thought I'd mistakenly clicked on the "J.Crew Weekend" category.

  7. LilyBart I am in the same boat as you. I have a purchase on the way that I would have used the 20% off on. Geez ! Do I reorder AGAIN? The fine print says not good on prior purchases but I might give it a shot.
    Hexicon I agree. I am finding very little for a business casual workplace. What happened to all the cute silk camis ? And reasonable price points I might add. $118.00 for the Beatrice is WAY too much ! They had so many cute camis last year. I wish I would have been buying more last Spring.

  9. This promotion was perfect for me, in conjunction with the rewards card! I ordered the eyelet pencil skirt in caspian night -- tried it on in-store and loved it, and even better that it is offered in petite sizes online. Not sure, but it seemed to run a tad small. I also ordered the factory madras tote in seaside -- the diluted-ish blue/pink madras of last year's retail offering. This is my favorite madras coloring of all time!

  10. i got this email AFTER i placed an order... so i reordered everything (plus one or two more things) and i'm just going to return the first order. and lucky me, i still have an old email address linked to my credit card so i got TWO of those emails... i'm saving the second code for later in the month in case i spy some other goodies. :)

  11. I actually got the email and deleted not paying attention. Thanks to seeing this post I went back to my email and found it! I finally ordered the military watch and used my rewards card too! Most of the time the "collaboration" items are excluded...not this time! Woohoo!

    I ordered the Silk Casbah blouse, the linen swoon skirt in casablanca blue, and the vintage cotton lace tee (doubling up on the 20% off already offered). Fun!! Can't wait to see the casbah blouse and swoon skirt as those were not available at my B&M when I stopped in on Wed.

  17. i got it and used it to get the Cecilia dress in casablanca blue the factory printed eyelet-trim dress in papaya (on a whim) and the eyelet derby dress in jade - they were already sold out of size 4, so i had to get a 6. i hope it's not too big.

  19. Randala, the codes appear to be unique, one-time codes, but I would hope that if you called customer service they would honor the discount it for a new cardholder!

  24. Got the email for 20% off and free shipping with a one time use code and am going to save it to see if there is anything I must have later on in the month. Yeah! I have almost cancelled my card twice and have held out; glad I did.

    Also, Captain Crew it looks like JC is offering everyone free shipping through Wed.

  25. Didn't get the email, but customer service let me have the offer (after I placed the order over the phone, had my inactive card reactivated, and went through the order process one more time!). Worth it for some of the new pretty blouses - I need to wear more prints!
