Extra 30% off Sale & Free Shipping Extended One More Day {wahoo!}

"Thanks!" to many of you, including opheliasmom (in this post), GigiOfCa (in this post), as well as Irina, who shared the following update from J.Crew this morning.

J.Crew extended their current offer for 30% off all sale items (no min) and free shipping on $100+ with promo code LOVEIT. This now ends today, Thursday, May 26, 2011. To shop J.Crew, click here.

It appears that there was a decent update to the sale section this morning (click here to shop online). Items are selling out relatively quickly too. :)

This should probably be going in the "Looking to Love" post, but I have to give kudos for J.Crew on this offer. The low free shipping minimum and the generous 30% off is a wonderful offer! And we have been seeing a lot of it lately too {loves it!}

Will you be checking out the Sale section? Are there any items you are hoping to see or to get?

  1. Yay, got the coral jackie and a factory printed pencil skirt for work!

A question on Jackie colors: Before "Sweet Hyacinth," came out, there was another Jackie color with Hyacinth in the name. Does anybody know what I'm talking about? I have the shell in this color and would like to find a cardi to match...

  2. I slept in this morning, after getting up early for so many days I feel like a zombie! I pray I didn't miss out on my target items. Please don't tell me that the Wylders popped back. Looks like the olive Streamers might have, I hope not in my size! Still waffling about the dusty cedar suede Collins, I kind of wish at this point enough people would buy them and wipe out the stock and put me out of my misery. :)

  3. I'm same as Tamara, I'm like a zombie these days - could barely get out of bed this morning. Managed to pick up the wrap front swimsuit, which popped back in my size and both of the colours that I wanted, woo hoo!

  4. Once again, item is in my basket and while selecting the address, the item sells out! This is the second time it has happened with this item. I have bad shopping luck. I really hope the chambray shirtdress isn't that great...

  5. The offer is probably extended bc there were many new styles added as claimed? I've see quit a bit of style popped back the past few days. I added stffs to my cart but never clicked that check out button! Like Tamara, I hope tha nothing is available in my size!

  6. Kay, it was just Hyacinth. The color code is PR5729, the product number of the Jackie at the time was 85613.

  7. Debating the cropped Elan pant. Never have been a pleat girl but great price for work pants.

  8. I must be cray-cray. What new styles?!

  9. Staci, mostly swimsuits and some shoes, it appears. The updates have been bad for those who are looking for new items in the sale section, that's for sure. For popback stalkers the updates have been pretty good.

  10. The Canvas Schoolboy blazer was marked down to $49.99 this morning.

  11. Ah. I am contemplating re-ordering an item that I ordered twice now, because I'm scared they're not going to ship it to me for a 2nd time.

  12. Sorry for this personal communique but it is regarding J Crew! Shekster, it looks like my emails to you are bouncing, let me know if you didn't receive any from me today (May 26).

  13. FFM, they better not have had size 14 available. The one day I sleep in, oy, what did I miss? Yes I'm an addict.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Tamara: The schoolboy was only available in a size 0 and disappeared very quickly. The update was only about 200 or so items this morning.

  15. I didn't see any new markdowns and nothing popped back in my size but I couldn't login too early as today is my husband's birthday and I didn't want to ruin his day by checking the website in front of him.
I just purchased the heathered playa skirt in indigo blue in store. What a fantastic, wear to anywhere skirt. It looks polished or casual depending on the top that you are wearing. It fits tts but you can size one up for more length (although it wasn't short in my regular size). Highly reccomended. The best part is that it rang up on promo $69.50 at the register while I was ready to buy it fp.

  16. Kay - ...maybe summer hyacinth? There were other products in that color. Not sure if a Jackie was produced in it.

Mary Moo - I love the Elan. They are wrinkle prone, but I still love them. Dressing room pic in this post. After wearing them while seated in this post.

  17. Has anyone tried the Featherweight Tunic tee??

  18. StaciStaci - I put the markdowns I noticed at the top of this post.

  19. Can anyone tell me if the sizing of the Jackies has changed since the introduction of "x-small" sweaters? I have some mediums that I purchased before, and I'm wondering if I should go to a small now.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Sally, I personally would not size down. The Jackie I received yesterday in my regular size seemed to be a good inch shorter and generally smaller all around. I measured it against one of my older Jackies to be sure. Don't know if I just got an "odd" sized one or what. You should be safe with your normal size.

  21. Thanks tamara & gigi - now I just need to hunt one down!

  22. I love the offer, but still don't see anything I want. Maybe I'm sick or something. ...

  23. Elaine- I had a hard time getting excited to make a big "score!" The order I placed for myself last night was a pair of heritage chinos, chino shorts, the katie eyelet and the Thessally sundress in black. I was like "wow, so basic" but I'm actually psyched to be plain and basic right now.

I'm just experiencing over-kill on the S&M 4" heels, the skinny tight pants, the "my bag is bigger than your bag" phenomenon, and anything that smacks of trying to dress rich and skinny. I'm so bored with that trend, and am happy to go back to basics.

    wow. that was a diversion.

  24. Thanks FFM, that makes me feel a little better! And Gigi, thank you too, your web site is fantastic, you're another person I'd like to donate to! The amount of work you do is phenomenal unless you've developed some crazy slick software, in which case you deserve donations for that too. :)

I had snapped up a blossom-colored Jenna's cardigan in size XL, and when it arrived a couple of days ago I could instantly tell it was smaller than my other XL Jennas. Sure enough, 19" across when my others are 20". It's really an L with XL tags. I'm not into the shrunken look. I'm going to have to send it back. If anyone wants this cardi, send me an email, my address is in my profile. The cardigan is absolutely perfect, looks like it was never even tried on and I didn't try it on either. It has the tag attached and came in the original package.

  25. pathos, your summary of the current pervasive style is right on! If I hadn't seen the Fall 2011 preview I think I'd be depressed right now, wondering where I'm going to get new clothes. The Fall 2011 shoes look a bit too S&M to me, but everything else looks great.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Tamara- I know, the elegance and simplicity of what is to come in the fall has been shaping my current purchases. Plus, life as a cat's online archive of JCrew catalogs from 2009 is another reminder for me to dress simpler. I look forward to seeing more "earlier" catalogs.

  27. GOING TO BUY COLLINS TONIGHT!! (Thanks, Tamara!) :)

  28. OT: Has anyone tried on the Mirabel pencil skirt? TIA!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Sort of OT, I think, but I seem to recall seeing a scarf or something like that in a reddish version of the Casbah print, but not one other item in that colorway. Is that true? If so, I'm bummed, because I love the Casbah colors and the print and would totally buy a few things if there was another color option. ...

And I stand corrected: I *do* want the canvas Schoolboy but have thus far been unable to find it in my size at a price I can stomach. I tried it on in-store and it's just heavenly for warm weather (as counter-intuitive as that sounds). If I can find one for $49.99 (especially minus 30%) I might pass out.

Keep your eyes peeled, y'all, for an 8 (or in desperation, a 6) and LMK if you spot one anywhere!

  30. rynetta PhD, AudreyBella tried the Mirabel skirt in this post. HTH

  31. Elaine: Hope you are able to find one! It is a great little jacket. I was able to score one on popback (pics here) and adore it.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Me too for canvas Schoolboy, I need the size 14.

I did break down and buy the Collins suede dusty cedar. lolita, are you getting the mossy oak? It's a much nicer color IRL than in the pictures, at least on my monitors.

  35. I placed an order early this morning and then canceled it. Only one item was on sale and it was marked way down and still available in all colors and sizes so after some consideration I thought it may be a dud and no matter how cheap I do not need any duds in my wardrobe so I canceled the whole thing. The other items weren't must-haves and there were no reviews that I could find so I'll wait. I have free shipping until the 7th so maybe there will be a useful promo next week.

  36. Hi SallyO! I would not size down in the Jackies. I tried them on in the store and they fit the same as last year's. HTH

  37. Oh I want the beaded cami and the striped featherknit tank. Actually I want everything...but you know...

  42. Shekster, thanks for the alternate address! I sent you an email.

I've turned into an evening stalker and a morning stalker. I'm going to watch tonight to see how this promo ends and what comes next. I'm about ready to sell my soul for the Wylders. (Actually owning them can't possibly be as good as wanting them this much!)

    ReplyDelete
  43. Tamara - I purchased the mossy oaks per your suggestion. I too thought that photo with the trenchlet is lovely. :)

    ReplyDelete
  44. lolita, I hope you love them as much as I do! It's good that you bought them today, the 30% promo is gone now. That was a phenomenal deal, only $55.99. I might have paid $90 for my mossy oaks, I can't remember. I got the cedars today for $55.99.
