Extra 30% off Sale & Free Shipping Ends Today

Today is the last day of J.Crew's current offer for 30% off all sale items (no min) and free shipping on $100+ with promo code LOVEIT. To shop J.Crew, click here.

Today is also the last day Madewell is offering 30% off (on sale items) and free shipping (on $100+) with promo code SALEAWAY. To shop Madewell, click here.

Unfortunately, I did not take advantage of this great offer. :( But hopefully some of you were able to score some amazing pieces at amazing prices. :)

Incidentally, if you live near a brick & mortar store, you might want to check them out first for lower prices. For example, the Schoolboy Blazer in Madras (Item 36125; $168.00) is now $99.99 online. However, my local store is selling it for $49.99 (before the additional 30% off too).

Will you be checking out the Sale section? Are there any items you are hoping to see or to get?

  1. The Camden leather brogues in black finally went on sale! I've been stalking them for nearly a year. $140 with the extra sale discount.

  2. I got the Delaney Eyelet Dress in Copper Dust at my local B&M. It was $49.99 ($79.99 online) before the additional 30% off. This dress ran really big to me. I got a 4 when I typically wear an 8 in J. Crew dresses. I do have a really small bust, though.

Also, the sales associate told me they were marking a lot of stuff down tonight to put out tomorrow. It won't be available with the extra % off, but I'm looking forward to seeing what they're putting out.

  3. Hi Alexis, I woke up early today hoping to find an update in the sale section. Yesterday I received a message from J Crew in Facebook letting me know they were adding 100 new styles today, but I didn't see anything different.

  4. The Wyatt Buckle Cone heels went on sale; will give them a try since they look like they will match the Boyfriend chinos. Also ordered a couple of the Jackie colors that just went on sale.

  5. nobelle: I saw that Facebook message too! How disappointing. They even said to shop early to get the good stuff, didn't they?

  6. Amy: Congrats! The Camden brogues are lovely. I have two different versions and love them. :)

LauraK: LOL! Of course the extra sale items and markdowns will be for tomorrow after this promo ends. ;) Well, I know what I will be checking first thing tomorrow morning. :)

Elizabeth: Congrats on the heels! Also, the Jackies are great staples. :)

Nobelle & AppGal: I thought it was just me! I didn't see that many new styles or markdowns either.

  7. I woke up at 6:30am and there was about 900 items left.

  8. There were a couple if items I was interested in but not enough to get free shipping (I don't have free shipping on my account) and they soldout amyway. Oh well, I have already taken advantage of the promo on Monday to get the cashmere keyhole sweater that I regretted not buying yhis winter. By the way this sweater is back in the stores (in black and the purplish color) but still fpand if you are interested.

  9. Sorry for the multiple typos, I meant that is fp in the stores but you can ask if they can honor the online price.

  10. I picked up the Quorra oxfords in mink for $84 with the discount. I thought I'd give them a try since they have leather uppers, linings and soles and the mink looks like a fairly versatile color. Hope they fit.

  11. I certainly didn't see 100 new styles in the sale section, and I was there super early. (Or should I say "stupor" early, since that's my mental state at that time of the morning.) It was a decent update nonetheless. But at this point I'd rather have a mega update with all of my target items than a 30% off promo.

Definitely some good shoe deals, $59.99 for the suede Collins, the Wyatts and Quorras Elizabeth and xoxo mentioned, I even saw the canvas and leather Walker riding boots! If I had slender calves I would have snapped those up (and I see someone did).

Alexis, I like your choice of picture for this thread. Cute. :)

  12. I have 2 free shipping codes from the email yesterday, and I need to remove the temptation for me to use them. Whoever wants them...first come first serve! Email me at musingsonmtn@gmail.com.

  13. xoxo, I got the Quorras too in tawny orange, hoping they will fit. I also ordered Jemaa midheel sandals in muslim, they went on sale today.

  14. oooh, the Quorra peep toes went on sale, but I can't wear 4" to work/etc.

  15. I wasn't able to post for some reason yesterday -- the site just wouldn't add my comments in, boooo. I just wanted to add my thoughts to the 'blue about the crew' thread from yesterday ....

I thought I was alone in this...I'm glad someone spoke up. I flipped through the latest catalog and saw maybe 5 things total that interested me, and 2 were swimsuits, which I do NOT need more of and which I'll patiently wait out until sale time comes.
I can't quite put my finger on why I'm not feeling anything. I guess the closest assessment I could make is that I'm not seeing anything that distinctively says J Crew to me in the way I've come to expect. Most of the items look like they could have come from LE Canvas or any one of a number of stores. Not that that's a bad thing, it's just not what I'm looking for.
My wallet / bank account are happy -- they could use a breather. But I'm pulling more and more from the closet these days and referencing polyvore like a madwoman. Thanks to the exchange and eBay, I've found some fantastic classics and color pops that I can't wait to wear for both summer and fall. But nothing from the past 2 rollouts.

  16. I noticed a few cuts in things between yesterday and today. I put them at the top of this post.

  17. I'm proud to say that I didn't order anything the past three days, though I started populating my shopping cart! I never checked out......! I did buy at b&m.... I do notice the price discrepancy between the two! Why are the prices diff?

  18. Free shipping codes have been claimed :)

  19. Alexis (or anyone else)! What store do you shop at? I'd very much like to get the madras blazer (size two) at the in store price. Would you please let me know where you saw this item? Thanks.

  20. tamara: I thought the picture was a good choice too as it captured what I felt about the promotion ending. ;)

Kikki Cee: It was the Westport, CT store. They had about 4 of them in the sale section upstairs (including size 0). Hope this helps. :)

  21. Just got back from Vegas store, they had ballet shoes from $49.99-$79.99 then you can take 30%. Keep in mind these are left overs shipped from an LA store.

    Didn't find anything worth reporting.

    I did return 2 chambray Dorrie skirts in 2 / 4

  22. I got the Delphinium dress (which is called something different in the store) for $25. It was marked down to $40, then the additional 30% off, and then the associate happened to slip in my teacher's discount on top of that! Can't say I'm complaining since it's still full price online.

  23. I keep going back and forth on the Arianna. Anyone try it on. I saw Gigi's pix but wanted to hear other input too.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Pathos,
I really wanted to like the Arianna dress. It was $30 at the B&M so after discount it was $21.

The almost-see-through cream one looked like a sleep gown on me. Black seemed better but the parachute shape didn't work.
Black was not as sheer but too hot for Texas summer casual and not formal enough for a nice occasion.
Even with a belt, it was not flattering on me. I tried XXS and XS. The only thing I liked was the square neckline both front and back.
    I didn't buy it.

  25. For the third time I added the dusty cedar Collins to my cart and was one step away from checking out, and then changed my mind. I'll probably do it one last time tonight before the promo expires. :) I'm a sucker for $59.99 J Crew shoes! I'd have to pay the shipping, there's nothing else I want to get me up to $100 for the free shipping. I guess I need to really envision myself wearing the things, not buy them just because they're pretty.

So will there be a substantial update when the 30% promo is no longer in effect? I kind of hope so.

  26. Got an email from my Jcrew outlet giving 20% off $100 or more purchase during memorial day.

  27. I ordered a belt, nothing else interested me and I didn't see anything new this morning at 5AM.

I think I'm kind of ready to wait for Fall, nothing in the past two rollouts has really been a must-buy for me and I feel like my closet is burgeoning with very similar items. I'm really loving Polyvore lately to help me style what I have and love already.

  28. I took advantage of the promo to re-order the Sophie Silk blouse in Muslin (love this one...the gold buttons are such a nice touch), plus added the other 2 colors of the blouse which I've been waiting for this type of promo to try out. I also snatched up a couple of swimsuits since they're at really great prices with the extra 30% off. The update was actually fairly decent this morning, but a lot of it was just sizes added to already existing sale merchandise...such as the swimsuit top I ordered. It was sold out in my size yesterday, but restocked this morning, so I was able to get the color I was hoping for. Other than that, there wasn't really anything on my *must-have* list, even at 30% off.

  29. I ordered some shoes to try out. The Collins platforms b/c the price is excellent and they are pretty. And I'm trying out the Loretta (?) wood heels. They look really cute and not quite as high as the Collins which will probably make them much more wearable. I'll report back after I get them!

  30. I did it. With only a couple of minutes to spare (technically at least) I bought the dusty cedar suede Collins. Not being final sale was an incentive.

  31. Looks like it's extended through Thursday...

    ReplyDelete
  32. I saw the Dorrie get marked down to $29.99 tonight....then 30% off on top. I am a little sad that I purchased it for $49.99 without a % off and they are now out of my size.

There were a lot more markdowns, many of the items that we saw today, but I didn't catch the price on then because I felt silly looking through the items as they were working.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Oh geez. I placed my Collins order at the last minute before the promo expired, paid for the shipping because there wasn't anything else I wanted, and now the promo has been extended a day. So I cancelled the order because I might find some popbacks tomorrow and that stuff with the shoes might qualify the order for free shipping. Crazy.

  34. Wondering (again) what's coming up when the current promo ends. Please please please mega update.
