New {Spring} Arrivals Hitting Stores This Week :)

J.Crew brick and mortar (B&M) stores are expected to receive shipments of new Spring arrivals this week. "Thanks!" to Anon at 12:07 PM (in this post) who let us know that some stores are expected to receive them today (Tuesday). Some other stores are planning to get them on Thursday. The new arrivals should hopefully be on the shelves, ready for purchase, in all stores by this Friday. {yey!}

Also, "thanks!" to Anon at 5:00 PM (in this post) who let us know that the J.Crew at the "B&M (Dallas Galleria) will be having a event on the 23rd, 12-6pm, for the new spring line." So chances are, your local store might be offering something similar as well. :)

Do you plan on visiting J.Crew this week to see the additional new Spring arrivals? Is your local store offering an in-store event to view the new merchandise? Are you looking forward to seeing any new item(s) in particular? If so, please share! :)

  1. I was just there today ... I was hoping the new arrivals would already be out today but maybe that was wishing for too much. :) So I guess it'll be awhile until I can see the new arrivals in person, since I don't plan to go again this weekend.

  2. COME ON, Spring! i know that it's still winter, but the Spring stuff reminds us of the renewal of the season. It 'feels' hopeful to see that the new season will arrive and HOPE with it!

  3. There's some banner at jcrew.com congratulating the First Family... how patriotic!

    ReplyDelete
  4. Wow, I just saw that banner too!

It would be funny if there was a little asterisk and then at the bottom, "Also, thank you Michelle for wearing so much of our clothing."

  5. kitchy7: Your comment made me laugh. :) I almost wondered if that's why they had the patriotic banner to begin with ... or do they do that with every incoming president?

  6. I don't remember them congratulating Bush. :P

  7. J.Crew's probably jonesing for some bailout money...

  8. ^LOL. Why not. Joe Francis thinks he's entitled to some. Why not JCrew?

  17. I may drop in Wednesday as that is when my store seems to put new things on display (and new markdowns!)

  18. While I did not vote for Obama, I wish them the best of luck. God Bless America!

  19. I won't be able to get to the store for a while as I am traveling out of the country. I hope some of you will report back details of what you see. :)

  20. I was informed by CS that the new arrivals would not be online until the 31st! AH! That is soooo long away! I haven't been pleased with the selection in stores lately and was really looking forward to shopping online this week!

  21. I can't wait for them to appear online. I won't be buying but it is fun to look. Will wait for sales as usual. Nothing new there for me:)

  22. My yellow maggie got cancelled :(
Why does J Crew do this to me? Is it so hard to immediately update inventory on the website?

Called CS and they volunteered to waive shipping and price adjust the pink maggie. But I am still bummed...

Today is a wonderful day for America, not because one political party won over another, but because the promise of hope and change and prosperity rings throughout the land. As Americans, we own our nation's history, the good and the bad, and we can all take pride in the fact that the day after MLK day, we have elected our first African American president. Let's all hope that this man can help make our country an even better, more prosperous place to live!

  23. Site is down. AGAIN. Not much of the spring line struck me in the 'gotta have it' category so hopefully my J.Crew card will have a few months to catch its breath before I start working it again. That's a good thing for me & my bank account. ;)

  24. Maybe this w./end, but, just not that excited abt the 'new' spring items, they look really familiar, no real difference from fall items. There will have to be a good sale to induce me to buy.

  25. Spoke to a CS rep. She informed me that the new Spring catalog will be mailed on 01/31/09 and then the next spring catalog will go out on 02/27/09.

  26. i can't wait for the palor knit dress to go on sale.

i am in LOVE with the back of the dress and it will be perfect for a my vacation in march.

  27. Spring / Summer clothes are worthless to me. They all look the same. Just wear what you bought last year. Fall / Winter is my big downfall when it comes to spending. When it gets really hot out, the last thing I want to do is get dressed up.

  28. NEED ADVICE: I am going to order the super 120 jacket (approx. $235) that goes with the pencil skirt. Does that jacket run TTS? I have the skirt already, but now I need to start wearing suits, so I am getting the jacket.

    ReplyDelete
  29. ALSO -- Does anyone own the Blair dress? Is that TTS?

  30. Vic:
Thanks, something to look forward to! --forgot to say thanks too for your comment abt the earmuffs being sent back to the factory on that other post, bummer but thanks for letting me know :)

Re New Arrivals: Puh-lease update the site already, sheesh!

  31. Stacie: you are very welcome! :)
I understand stores are sending returned items to the warehouse as well. So check the website - JC re-stocks site every morning around 9am EST ( or 6am my time - grrr) :)

  34. I've just purchased the city-fit Madison stretch chino in navy (first time I've come across it in FS). In the photos the pants has a crisp shine, and the legs look more straight than bootcut. Has anyone had the opportunity to try these on? Any tips on fit / sizing?l

    ReplyDelete
  35. I have heard that the madison pants stretch a bit after wearing a several times so it is best to size down if your on the fence about which size to buy. hope that helps

  36. Has anyone seen new spring items at their B&Ms yet?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Thanks Anon 9:56! I ordered a Petite 0 so don't have room to size down further. I'll have to take them for a spin in the dryer then if/when they expand!

    ReplyDelete
  38. If you have received Lizzie mocs in chocolate calf leather size 9 that you did not order please email me viktoriyasd at yahoo dot com
I've received a pair of pants instead of a pair of shoes :(

    ReplyDelete
  39. I went to my B&M tonight and they said the spring roll-out was pushed back to Weds night (in stores Thursday). I was bummed but will have to check back Thursday, I guess :)

  40. Janeesq, did you ever find the python skirt you were looking for?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Someone had asked about the Cherie cami in another post - I like mine! I reviewed it on my blog. Other spring arrivals I tried on at SF Center:

trench: cute lining, but runs big. The arms are looser than I'd like so I'm going to pass.

twist-cap-sleeve shirt: cute, but also runs big. The 0 was way too large for my scrawny upper body.

ruffle favorite tank: looks cheap IMO. very old-navy-ish. again, a pass.

giraffe shorts: saw but didn't try on. cute on the manni, but I'd never really wear them, so no go.

    hope this helps!

  42. per request, I'm 5'4", 100 lbs, almost always a size 0. Thank you JC heels for making me 5'7" on some days ; )

  43. Anon at 1:19~

Yes I did find the python pencil skirt! It's a beautiful skirt. Thanks for thinking of me!

  44. I have the madisons in navy- size down! they strech like the other post said, but they look great. They dont have any sheen to them. I am a pear, and the fact that they have no slant pockets on the side really helps and makes thenm even more flattering in my opinion.I basically cannot wear pants with pockets because of my shape. They are my favorites right now.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Thanks for your feedback on the Madison, Anon 12:38! I'm a little bit worried now about the stretching as I'm usually a petite 0 and can't size down any further. But given that they're your favorite, I can't wait to receive it and try 'em on for myself. Do you think they'll tighten up in the dryer?

  46. Hi!

Somebody was selling the Claudia gold crackle pumps in size 8 on the weekly exchange a few days ago, and I cannot find the post. If the seller sees this, are they still available or are they spoken for?

Just thought I would check. I know, you snooze you lose.

    Thanks!
