{Yey!} Summer Sale with 20% off

It's that wonderful time that I always look forward to: when J.Crew offers 20% off its sale merchandise. The 20% discount lasts until 5/30/08. Not a lot of days, but certainly something!

  1. Has anyone else had problems getting on the site this morning? Whenever I try, I keep getting a message that says they're updating their webiste right now!

  2. I was able to get on and check out the sale items. I always use Moxilla Foxfire as my browser. However, sometimes (and I do mean rarely) J.Crew website doesn't work so I switch over to Internet Explorer where the pages come up fine. So try switching Internet Browsers to see if that works.

    Good luck! :)

  3. This would be a great time for a free shipping code! I would be much more inclined to buy some things if I knew I wouldn't have to pay for shipping too!

  4. I want to get the Caterine top, but the shipping would practically cancel out the 20% off! Oh, how I miss those free shipping at any price days. :(

  5. Wow, the site isn't loading at all for me. I was checking it earlier and it was fine.....weird....

  6. What does eveyone think of the Katie sweater jacket? I love the style but am not crazy about any of the colors. I'm trying to decide which one is best. Any ideas?

  7. Love it in the solid colors. I have it in geranium. Saw a lady on the Today show with it on and bought it at full price- minus 20% off; had to have it and since I've been wearing it for over 2 months?? now...it was worth it. You just never know what will sell out and what won't sometime you don't want to take that chance. Ya know? I don't like the stripes at all. Personally, black and white stripes remind me of prison wear---not that I would personally know....just my quirk:) ha ha

  9. I've been thinking about maybe buying the Kayla dress as a beach cover-up. I'm not sure though how it would fit on my body and they don't sell it in stores. Does anyone have an experiences with it? Thanks for any help!

  10. jagjag2,

Thanks for the feedback. Though the geranium is very pretty, I tend to shy away from wearing bright colors and am afraid that I'd never wear it. I loved the paley jacket and bought it in yellow and have only worn it once so far! I'd probably get more wear out of the navy but already have the piazza in navy and it doesn't seem as pretty in the navy either for some reason. Which just leaves those stripes...

  11. The site has been working fine with me. I got two pairs of Overdyed cropped matchstick jeans this morning. I've been waiting for it's price to drop since they first came out. Now it's marked down to 29.99 with extra 20%off. pretty good deals. And they still have all sizes and colors available, I was actually surprised to see that.

  12. I received the python Lucia jacket today... Unfortunately I'm taking it back. The fit of the Lucia jacket is just so unflattering. There's way too much fabric in the wrong places, and I felt like a linebacker. Some people may find that they like it, but I thought I would give this information in case someone is on the fence about buying it.

  13. Hi Lynn! I am bummed out that the Lucia jacket didn't look as good as it does in the picture. I am curious: Was their pleats in the front of the jacket?

  14. Hi Anabelle! I haven't tried on that particular dress, but I do have something very similar to it and it looks great. Especially if you have slender shoulders and chest. Great at hiding tummies and hips. :)

  15. Hi Alexis! Yes, there are pleats. It's was the exact same shape and cut as the solid navy Lucia jacket I tried on in the store. While I didn't particularly care for the navy jacket, I hated the python print. There was WAY too much going on with the jacket. For the photo, they must have it clipped and pinned because it's not nearly as cute in person.

  16. Hi Lynn! Thanks for replying back. Well you have done me a huge favor! I had been lusting over the Italian Matelassé version of the Lucia jacket. But not anymore.

I didn't care for the pleats in the front of the jacket on the solid version for $60, I will for sure not appreciate them on the $200 Matelasse version!!! When I tried on the solid Lucia jacket, I felt like it was bulky in the chest area.

Too bad too! It looked really lovely in the pictures.

  20. Has anyone tried the silk flower tanks----they come in navy and stone, originally priced at 98, now 29.99? How is it and how is the fit?
