Darlings, is it time for a J.Crew coupon code?

Yes, it is that wonderful time!

A big "thanks!" to FFM (in this post) who let us know that J.Crew is offering free shipping on orders of $150+ with promo code BR73V9. This offer expires 12/28/09.

P.S. I have noticed that other blogs & websites post J.Crew codes & coupons *after* this blog does. If you happen to get codes & coupons from the JCA blog & post them at your site, could you please give give a "shout out" to the JCA blog? This way more JCAs are inclined to share. TIA! :)

  1. I'm glad there is at least another Free Shipping code, even if it is on $150+. :)

  2. Thanks for the code! I almost bit in final sale but it took me so long to figure out what I'd like to try that is not final sale to to get around the $10.50 shipping fee I just said 'forget it'.

  3. Any idea how the down vest fits? I am normally a 2 in Jcrew perfect fit shirts. Do I buy the small or X-small? FFM, we have the same body type. Did you try on the vest? TIA

  5. Thanks for the code! I probably would have jumped on it, but I've been bitten too many times on final sale.

  6. The update this morning had lots of older items but no further reductions on current sale items -I'm waiting for an extra% off code or a further reduction - there is nothing I *have* to have although my cart is full . . .I also found that the dreaded red final sale notation is actually not appearing on most of the items when I did a test checkout.

  7. jcma: Sorry, but I haven't had the chance to try the vest on. What about calling CS for measurements?

  8. I would only use this for items not on sale. The final sale it awful!

  9. jcma, I also wear a 2 in JC's shirts, and I got the vest in XS. It's definitely fitted--not tight, but there's no real give. I think it looks great and I'm comfortable with it, but if you prefer a looser fit, I'd go with the small.

  10. Free shipping, big deal .
I feel like a "treat or trick" not a " Merry Christmas" with JCrew :).
Where were those hundereds of items over the past few months, like during recent 25%, 30% off?.
Oh, c'mon JCrew. Final sale on Summer 09 still without SIGNIFICANT off?
No, it's a pass for me.

  11. Thanks FFM for sharing the free ship code!

Any comments on the fit of the stadium cloth coats this year? Can one SU or SD comfortably or are they pretty much TTS? I'm considering the Friday coat but may wait until the price is reduced a bit more since there appear to be plenty in stock.

  12. ^ Of course the boulevard trench is nice as well....

Can't go too far wrong with a stadium cloth coat here in Canada, unless it doesn't fit.

  13. FFM, Lauren S., Thanks for the info

  14. xoxo I have the Friday in a 0 and I think I could also comfortably wear a 2. The 0 is nice, but a wee bit fitted in the shoulders. I love this coat, btw, and would definitely recommend it. It looks and feels well-made and has a very flattering cut.

  15. Thanks for the code. I almost drank the crewlade but held back on popbacks.

  16. Lauren S. - thank you for the info, I definitely won't SD then. I love the look of the Friday coat. It's like a big warm cocoon. I have the Shipley and Bridget stadium cloth coats from last year and absolutely love them. Stadium cloth is so warm and plush. Love it!

  17. Actually this really comes in handy! I was actually up a 4am when the site updated (total night owl!), and at that time, there were like some 700+ sale things added, so I quick placed an order. Mostly everything I got was from previous seasons, but I liked 07/08 better than the current offerings anyway. (Although I'll cross my fingers that I don't get the dreaded "we wish we had more" email).
Anyhoo, when I check the blog this morning and saw the FS code, I went ahead and called CS to see if they could go back and apply the code to the order I just placed. They did! And were very pleasant about it too. I was expecting a fight about it, so I'm pleasantly surprised!

  18. Hmmm...disappointed there are no new current season items added to the sale. Shopping for myself with xmas money and waiting for some things to go on sale!

  19. Can someone please tell me if they can think of another major retailer who does this final sale crap?

I can think of ones who potentially do it on jewelry, or after 60 days, etc.... but does anyone else do this?

  20. Regina,

Banana Republic and Ann Taylor both have final sale. But their final sale prices are dirt cheap unlike jcrew

  21. sophia - I couldn't agree with you more!

  22. I did a lot of b&m shopping this past week, so I doubt I'll even check out the final sale any time soon. I bought quite a few gifts at the JCrew b&m store last weekend, at BR on Tuesday (30% off sale items plus another 10% off with BR credit card) and at Marshall's today.

Off 5th also has 60% off cashmere, which is tempting since the quality is very nice. I bought a beaded sleeveless sweater that I plan to layer with jackets and cardis, but I have so much cashmere that I just don't need any more.

  23. jcma - I got a XS in this year's puffer vest. size S in 08. I am 116 lbs, 5'2" and 34C.

  24. Some items I had my eye on yesterday were marked FS, but today they are not. hmm...
