Happy New Year's Eve! {celebrating with J.Crew?}
I want to take a moment to wish everyone a wonderful new year! {yey!} I look forward to celebrating the up-coming 2010 J.Crew collections with you all. :)
As usual, this post is to find out what everyone is planning to wear tonight. I know I have mentioned this before, but I also really enjoy these posts. I find it interesting to see how other Aficionadas and Aficionados style certain pieces, providing me wonderful ideas for future outfits. :) So for this post, what we are planning to wear during New Years Eve and/or New Years Day? :)
As for me, I don't know what I am going to wear still! It has been unbelievably cold in New England the past few days. So it all depends on how the weather will shake out. ;)
What are you planning to wear this New Year (Eve or Day)? Are you planning to go "head to toe" J.Crew or parts J.Crew?

Sale update! 700+ items and it looks like inventory is pretty good. Good luck if you are trollling for popbacks! And Happy New Year JCAs.
ReplyDeleteI will be wearing the Crinkle cascade dress in black with black tights and heels :)
ReplyDeleteStill debating the jewelry... definitely wearing my crystal soiree earrings but not sure what to do on the neck...
Happy New Year everyone! I am wearing my black minnie pants with a navy Victoria and a very sheer pink cardigan/wrap my mother knit me for christmas. I will probably have on pink ballet slippers- not leaving the house, friends coming here :)
ReplyDeleteSpending the early evening skating outdoors with friends. Bonfire and hot chocolate with Bailey's included. My husband should be home shortly before the clock strikes midnight so we'll probably ring in the new year with a bottle of bubbly and go to bed.
ReplyDeleteFor skating I'll wear my navy flannel-lined chinos from 2008, turquoise cashmere heirloom henley with a white tissue turtle beneath, pink puffer jacket and ivory Toscana gloves and trapper hat from 2007, I believe. It's cold here today!
I wish everyone a safe and happy 2010.
Dara, this is funny, I am wearing exactly the same outfit (black cascade dress with black tights and heels and soiree earings) and I also haven't decided on necklace.
ReplyDeleteajc, how funny - let me know what you come up with! I was trying on a bunch of faux pearl necklaces last night (including an outlet version of one of the pieces the model is wearing) but so far it seems like my dainty little birdcage necklace is working best... it's such a dramatic dress that I don't want to take away from it.
ReplyDeleteEvie ruffle top in light berry. Sequin pocket cardi in black. Jeans from the gap. And killer hot pink sequins shoes from Guess.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to a small house party at my sis's, so it's pretty casual.
Have a fab New Year!
PS - I went to the Marlton, NJ store yesterday and the selection was dismal. It was way empty in there. Some spring items were in.
ShuLvr,
ReplyDeleteI wish JCrew still made the flannel lined pants (in TALL) I missed getting a pair so much this year and my other pairs from seasons past are too small in the waist. After babies I will never get into them again! At least I have 2 pair that fit and about 4 that never will!
Should I admit that I plan to stay home in my Nick & Nora flannel pajamas from Target? :P I returned earlier this week from a 2 week vacation and I've been busy trying to catch up at work, so all I want to do is stay home and rest.
ReplyDeleteSummer and ShuLvr, I'm also a big fan of the flannel lined chinos. I have a pair of navy and a pair of khaki from 2007 that I absolutely love. If JCrew offered them again I'd definitely buy more. I also wish they offered flannel lined denim. I think they used to have the flannel lined denim for men, but I don't remember seeing them for women.
Happy New Year, Alexis and JCA's! I'll be spending a quiet New Year's Eve in Cincinnati with my children, husband, and my parents, so I'm planning to wear a comfy outfit: Watercolor silk cami from last year in Cerise, Dream cardigan in Heather Cypress, and skinny JC jeans. Gold JC ballet flats, too. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteI'm home in bed with the flu, BUT have consoled myself with a little bit of sale section shopping. (:
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year everyone!!
Happy, healthy New Year everyone! I am wearing the stardust sequin skirt in gunmetal, BR chunky light pewter half sleeve turtleneck sweater with silver threading, jeweled garland earrings, tall black Via Spiga boots and a Swarovski crystal cuff! Everyone at work (yes, I am at work) loves the outfit, and I do think it looks pretty terrific! Heading over to my DB's after work, we are celebrating at his mom's house tonight.

ReplyDeleteThanks for making my new year brignt! With your memory perhaps you should be a spy or something. I am counting the days till I get my Owen bag in the mail.
ReplyDeleteYour fan,
kayce
PS I wrote about it on my blog:

Wow Kayce- I'm glad you found one!! I have a NWT Owen bag in my closet that I have been trying decide what to do with... sell it? use it?
ReplyDeleteMy New Years Eve will be sitting at home with my fellas (3 boys) watching the NYC ball drop (9 pm our time) then off to bed! DH has to work tonight - there to protect and serve :) I will be in my JC leopard PJ pants from last winter and my sherpa hoodie. Happy New Years!
I am going to a small get together with friends, so I'll be casual. Always cardi in gray, sequin tiered ruffle tissue tank in black, and JC bootcut jeans. Comfy and (hopefully) cute. I wanted a little bling for New Years. :)

ReplyDeleteKayce, how sweet of your hubby to hunt down that Owen for you! I had it once on a pop-back (so I thought) until it came in and a Thompson bag was in the package ... returned :(
ReplyDeleteMack, if you decide to sell yours, let me know :)
Planning to be in something JC and comfy with the DH's family waiting for the ball drop. NYD will be in my new Winnie (love!) outfit

Happy new year, everyone!
That black Collection tank top covered in black sequins (best popback ever!) and my favorite Japanese denim jeans, circa JC 2005. And Frye boots. :)

I like the heather petrol :)
Happy new year, JCA's!
ReplyDeleteI'm heading downtown with the hubby for a late supper and wearing hot pink wool herringbone cropped pants from '07, I think, a black ruffled collar sleeveless top from the same Fall 07, the fabulous silver crackled metallic mary janes and the silver crushed glitter belt. The newest purchase is the black supernova ring.
I'm still deciding on what to wear -- aaah, the time is ticking away! Well, the heck with my indecision, I hope you have a grand New Year's, Aficionada Dahling!
ReplyDeletemack, I wore my sherpa hoodie too. But with non JCrew pj pants. My bf had to work at 6:30 this morning (also, to protect and serve!) so we went to bed early. Oh well, happy new year everyone!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone for the well wishes! Once again, Happy new year!!! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year everyone!
ReplyDeleteLast night I wore a pair of dark toothpick ankle pants, snake skin Tory Burch flats, a black J.Crew sleeveless sweater with the big sequin bow ( I forget the name of it!) and the charcoal bling cardigan. It looked great! I was surprised I could button the cardigan over the enormous bow!
Today I am wearing jeans, a white botton down shirt and a tee from j.crew that I don't see online. It's off white and has a huge beaded corsage on the top right.
(this is weird, I usually know the names of these items!)
Happy New Year!!! And extra thanks to Alexis for the great blog!
ReplyDeleteI didn't wear any J Crew this NYE- I went all Anthro this year, including tick-tock cardi for the countdown to midnight!
