Darlings, is it time for a J.Crew coupon code?

It is time for yet another coupon code. {Yey!} This time the "thank you!" goes to Jagjag2 from the "Scarves: Do you love them or LOVE them!" who let us all know about it.

J.Crew is offering free shipping on orders of $150+ with promo code STARFISH. This offer expires 6/11/08.

  2. I just received the OCEAN code as well. I wonder how they decide who gets what code. . .

  3. I got the OCEAN code this morning as well, for purchases $150 and up.

  4. Sooo...what's their strategy in releasing so many of these coupons within days/weeks of each other? I really cannot remember when I've seen so many "free shipping" coupons come out so close to each other. Or maybe it's always been this way?

Do they think this will increase the sales that they've seen decline due to rising gas prices? If so, why are they so adamant about having websites like RetailMeNot remove them?

  5. I got a SEASHELL code this morning. It's free shipping on orders of $100 or more.

  6. I was wondering if the different coupon codes for the same amount had something to do with consumer demographics... BTW, i LOVE scarves ;)

  8. I was thinking about it and I have seen J.Crew use the tiered system in coupons before (on Retailmenot). They branch consumers out into three groups: $175, $150, $100 for minimums. I have two email addresses with J.Crew (work and leisure). The email account I have made my purchases through gets me the $150 min. The account I have never made a purchase through gets me the $100 min coupon codes. Weird but understandable. :)

  9. Also thanks to everyone who posted about a code or was about to- much appreciated! :)

  10. Hmmm...I get the free shipping on $150 and $175 coupons with adds for women's clothing. I also get the free shipping on $100 but those are only with crewcuts adds (even though you don't have to buy crewcuts to use them). I used to get a birthday one for $20 off of $100. The last one I got was last year...was waiting for it this year but no such luck...Thanks again for posting these. By the way, does anyone know where the free shipping on any amount coupons came from or who got them? I never got those...always got them from retailmenot.com

  11. ccbmum: Weird how those $100/150/175 are distributed.

I didn't realize there was another birthday coupon besides the one for the flat $5 shipping. Is that for cardholders only too?

The free shipping for unlimited amounts use to be for customers who just signed up for emails. But now, those same codes for newbies have a minimum attached to them. Oh well!

  12. I guess maybe I got that birthday coupon because I am a cardholder (it came in the catalog by the way)...It looks like that perk is long gone now. :(

  13. Alexis... i hope the store doesn't come after you next! You definitely have more than just codes tho, this is like an asset to them :)

  14. Me too, I'm slightly worried they'll give you some sort of ultimatum or lawsuit threat, Alexis! Especially with this recent onslaught of coupon codes. But hopefully they'll see that the blog's more than just an offering of coupons!

  15. Hi Abijah & Sue.bee! I hope so too! {fingers crossed}. That worry has definitely ran across my mind a couple of times. However, there are a couple of things in my favor:

    (1) there are tons of blogs that post J.Crew coupon codes as well

    (2) this isn't a coupon side (like both of you pointed out). If they are smart, they will see it as a great marketing tool (just reading the comments and posts should give them ideas)

    (3) there are no ads on this site- I am not making any money off of this what so ever.
