Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. I'm wondering if anyone has seen the sweater skirt (E3044) IRL? I'm particularly loving the pink, but I'm hesitant to pull the trigger since there aren't any reviews on-line. Thanks!

  2. Yeah...sigh...mediocre sale section...and only 30 off.....nothing to buy. A few cute full price things but not even worth it still with the extra 25 off they offered on full price...Will just wait awhile for a sale worth spending for!

    2. Yup, final sale @ 30% off - not enough.

  3. A glitch in their system allowed me to order a third party item that's excluded from all promos. The Seeves leather sneakers.

    2. Similar (not leather though) SeaVees are 39.99 bucks on 6pm.com, great selection on Zappos, too - with free ship both ways and 365 days to return!

I buy vast majority of my shoes between those two websites.

    3. I guess the 25% off applies to a lot of their popular items, along with third party brands. I did a mock check-out, items such as the Cocoon coat (rare that this goes on promo), Collection sleeveless coat, St James slouchy tee...accepts the promo at check out.

Make sure to check and see if the items you want is included in the TIMETOSHOP promo!

    4. Yes, lots of items included (for now). The Campbell blazer that a lot of you were trying to get with the last promo is included now too.

    5. Lauren - I ordered the Cambell blazer with the promo earlier this morning, now 5hrs later it shows as "excluded from promo". Glad I ordered when I did.

  4. I don't have a store close to where I live, but I ordered a few items. This is in keeping with my new resolution to buy fewer items that I love and not get caught up in the clearance price games.

    1. Boy shirt in bold stripe (c9941)
This shirt is very cool, love the wide stripes. It looks stunning paired with a red jacket or cardi. Nice, thick cotton that doesn't show everything. I took my usual shirt size, so TTS.

    2. Field mechanic jacket (e0945)
I bought this jacket for my husband in the men's section last year, and have been wanting one like it ever since. So glad JC came out with a women's version. Now we can be one of those annoying couples that match, lol. This jacket looks amazing on, the quality and color is outstanding. I had to re-roll the hood to make the collar more comfortable, but other than that it' just about perfect. I am a big military jacket freak (hubby jokingly calls me a sandinista) and this one will fit right in with my other ones. Fits TTS.

    3. Elsie glossy leather d'Orsay pumps in grey (c4692)
I originally wanted the collection ones in snake print, but alas, those are nearly sold out at the regular price! The fresco grey pumps popped back in my size last week, so after reading all the wonderful reviews I bit. I agree that these are some fabulous shoes. TTS.

    4. Boy shirt in blue pacey plaid (c9828)
From the time it came out, I was attracted to this plaid shirt. The colors remind me of the seventies and also of an old plaid shirt my husband used to wear. Anyway, this one hasn't arrived yet, so I'll report on it later.

    Have a good day, everyone!

  5. I know it's not technically the weekend, but I stopped by the store this morning, did a once-around and walked out. Maybe it's because my favorite SA wasn't there, but absolutely nothing stood out as being worth the time to try on. On the flip side, the navy sequined sweatshirt jumped off the rack at me, if only to give me horrible junior high school craft projected heebie jeebies. Really, really awful (apologies to those who might like it, but...).

    1. Has anyone tried on the Collection double-faced Italian wool sleeveless coat?
I forgot the JCA who ordered it when it rolled out last Tuesday. How is the fit? Does it run, TTS? Obviously its a layering piece, since it doesn't have sleeves, I plan on wearing a denim jean jacket under it.

I'm planning to buy size 2, and don't mind that it's backordered till late November (it gives my JC card time to rest). But since I am petite, I am wondering if I should I go for a size 0?

    2. Oh well, too good to be true. The hot ticket items I did a mock check-out of, is back to being 'excluded from all promotion'.

    3. Aargh... same thing happened to me! The items I had in my cart were included this morning, and excluded tonight! These pricing games are crazy.

  7. Hi - does anyone have any idea when the 40% off sale items goes into affect? I just bought earrings on sale this weekend and lots of jewelry was on sale but only 30% Guess I am spoiled by the 80% off that occurred earlier this summer......thanks!

  8. Any reviews of the Calf hair Saddle Bag?

  9. Factory offer is now 35% off + free shipping. Is $51 for the factory textured quilted puffer vest worth it? I'm tempted but I would prefer to pay less than $50 if at all possible...
