This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the HOLIDAY sale, or to see some new SPRING arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!
Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)
P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!
Sub :o)

ReplyDeletecan somebody comment on the marissa crystal cuff?
ReplyDeletehow does it look IRL?
TIA
Good Morning All! Review of latest 30% haul: Merino Foiled Floral Cardigan, adorable, not too flashy, definitely worth the $35. Knotted twist bracelet - love it, but will have to find a way to tighten due to skinny wrist syndrome. Factory scalloped zipper cardigan in Heather Stone, really happy I bought this, a very versatile piece, would love it in Dark Fatigue color. Last piece that I LOVEEEE - Trouper pant in Titanium!!! Based on all JCA reviews of the trouper I just had to pull the trigger to buy, and I am so happy I did! Of course, like all of you mentioned they are wayyy too big in the back, even with a belt. Ordered my normal size 8 and could definitely size down to a 6, probably still with room in the back. Oh well, for the price it was worth it and now I want all other colors! What a fantastic pant, I paired it today with booties, a striped sailor tee and navy blazer with the new pearl bracelet of course! Also, asked SA through the live chat feature if I could have a price adjustment on the items I bought which have now been marked down and of course she said no, bummer. Stunned there is no extra % off this weekend :(
ReplyDeleteYes, I'll be going to make some returns and check out some stuff IRL. Also going to see if they have any of the Liberty dress since it's now sold out!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
OT, but does anyone have the factory tortoise flats? Do they hurt your toes? Just wondering. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI may actually visit a Crewlet this weekend - we'll see.
ReplyDeletePlanning to hit South Point at lunch - I seriously want the camp cardi
ReplyDeletesub please!
ReplyDeletenonickname -- ITA about the Trouper pants. I bought mine (Titanium) in December and wear them to death. I've got them on now, actually :) Paired with tall boots, a tiered cami and cashmere cardigan -- perfect casual Friday outfit!
ReplyDeleteAt Chicago, Michigan Ave. yesterday (Thurs, 3 March) sign on Jeans table, $20 off Women's Jeans. Didn't ring up, but SA manually did the discount for me.
ReplyDeleteWent to the b&m this morning. I got the side zip sweater for sale price and all crosstown tees are on sale for 19.99. Also there were a few new cute things, like a thick long sleeve madras perfect shirt. Didn't get it though.
ReplyDeleteI may stop in but the closest B&M is so limited. I'm ordering the Deveaux sandals in black and a second pair of the Giovanna Wedges. I love these so much. This is probably the first year where I bought spring/summer shoes before the season started.
ReplyDeleteI guess I'm avoiding the sweaters. If they come out with a Jackie in a bright yellow or coral, I'll be all over them, otherwise, nope!
I went last Wednesday, so no trip for me this weekend. I just posted new fitting rooms pics, inluding the lady lace popover and the Oleander dress here. Enjoy!
ReplyDeletedavid--there was a sale on the side zip sweater? so there is a sale?
ReplyDeleteOT - 50% off FINAL SALE items at Calypso St. Barth with code FINALSALE311. FS is nonrefundable.
ReplyDeleteAre they honoring the 20% sweater promo in stores now? Or just in "some" stores? When the 20% promo for all new items took place, the store I went to wouldn't honor it but some JCAs had better luck.
ReplyDeleteGem Twin, if they do honor the 20% in stores, the navy side zip is in stores but the white isn't that I've seen.
sub :)
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to visit today running errands with hubby (that means no trying on stuff) to return some stuff.
ReplyDeleteNo, there was no sweater sale in the store, however, I told my PS that the side zip sweater was on sale online and she honored the price. She even called the catalog to verify the price and they told her that it was on sale.

ReplyDeleteHas anyone purchased or tried the Odeon High Heel Sandals?
ReplyDeleteSorry off topic but is the ability to "Like" (via FB) new to the website? I just searched on some items and found the "Like" button is available. I can live with or w/o this feature but must say, it's cool to watch JCrew transition into the current tech'y times!
ReplyDeleteAll of the silk pocket tanks are $39 now in Chicago stores. Lots of denim on sale. Jackie cardi's are $39 with tons of colors. Some shirt-dresses on sale. The retro shell is on sale in stores for either $49 or $59.
ReplyDeleteWent in to return a few items and glimpsed/tried on a few new arrivals. Seemed to quite a lot items in the sale section at the Pleasonton B&M. But, there's probably more at Emeryville.
ReplyDeleteOralie cardigan
This Cardigan is heavy, & I don't mean thick. But it's sort thick as well. Very unique but a pass b/c of the weight & the color I tried on (Stone) was sort of meh. The material is not shiny or flat, but irridescent. And the material is smooth. This might be a go at deep discount in bronze or slate.
Silk pocket tank
Great little basic, definitely size down on this one. Was onsale but, I think I'll wait for a dip a bit more.
Tulip ruffle cami
Just as lovely as I imagined, but a little on the girly side. They only had a couple of colors in store. The dragonfly blue was definitely a standout. Runs TTS, buy your regular perfect shirt size for this one. Still interested in seeing the Spiced Olive & Sweet Orchid. Possible FP buy, especially in the blue.
Raglan babydoll tee
Runs a bit slouchy/big & a little short. Still pretty & possibly worth sale buy in smoldering brick.
Braided leather belt
Really great basic that wears beautifully. On sale at $24.99 in both colors at Pleasonton. Picked up the chocolate. Yeah!
Also saw quite a few new button downs that are not online yet. And a few that are, but in a different color.
Oh Wolfy, thank you for those reviews/sale mentions! I want that belt to fulfill woven-belt wish (love the studs), sale price is a great great thing! Must go in to return the Lunette mini I got at full price, maybe rebuy at sale price (I heard $30ish? acks to the $85 I paid!) so hopefully the belt is also on sale where I go!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the bellflower tweed skirt so much that it came home with me. Lovely shades of blues and purples. Also love the canteen pants and hope to pick up more on sale or promo. Hated the dorrie skirt on me. I love the modern red color, but the shape is not good on my body. :( The tulip cami is nice, but will probably work best on smaller-chested women. My regular size was too big and sizing down was too tight (gaping buttons) not to mention hard to get on as it has no zipper. The dragonfly blue is a gorgeous shade and I hope to get something in that color. I tried on 2 new tank-style knit dresses that aren't online. One was a striped dress that runs huge. The small was still too big on me and I'm normally a medium. The other one was similar to last year's jessie except it zipped up the back (exposed zipper) and had pockets. It came in a lovely cornflower blue and I would have bought it had I not loved the tweed skirt so much. Hopefully I'll pick it up on sale or promo.
ReplyDeleteMy ps said he'd been told that new items will roll out every 2 weeks but I forgot to ask when that would start.
":( The tulip cami is nice, but will probably work best on smaller-chested women. My regular size was too big and sizing down was too tight (gaping buttons) not to mention hard to get on as it has no zipper."
ReplyDeleteWow, really? A little TMI, but I'm 36D, 5'7, Size 12; and my regular shirt Size 12 fit perfect. It was bit low cut, but I was able to fill the top just fine. I would pair w/ a cami b/c I never wear tops that revealing w/o one.
I reviewed the Odeon High Heeled Oxfords on my blog today. They are on sale for only $99, and I love them!
ReplyDeleteWolfy, sorry if you were offended. Just trying to be honest since not everyone can try items on.
ReplyDeleteI was not offended in the slightest. Just sharing my view on the fit of this item. Didn't mean to contradict you. Thanks
ReplyDeleteJust got back from B&M. Wanted to try things on. The Dorrie skirt was terrible on me. I'm at the larger end of the JC sizing spectrum. And I'm not super curvy. The skirt in a 12 fit me in the waist but gaped at my hips, so it made me look even bigger than I am. The length was not a problem for me as I'm 5'4". Also, I'm not a fan of linen and there's a lot of linen in the fabric. I think it would've looked crisper if it had been more of a cotton sateen, especially for a casual skirt. I loved the Lace Over tank. Loved the Tulipe cami. It was not available in my size in the store (12). So, I ordered it over the red phone b/c I think it's going to sell out in the dragonfly blue color before it ever reaches sale. I tried the beige/stone color on and it was terrible on me. Totally washed me out. But love the style and fit of the cami. I also think it would be a little snug on larger busted women, but maybe it depends on your chest measurement more than cup size? I felt it ran TTS to small. And that's what my ps said it's been running in general for people. Also, I picked up, but may not keep a really nice t-shirt material tank w/a lace panel on the front. It was $45. I chose a blue color. Fits really nice and I think it could be dressed up or down really nicely. And finally, wanted to mention that there were lots of things in the sale section. Mostly first markdowns. I wish I had had a little more time to dig around in the sale section, but I didn't.
ReplyDeleteSilk pocket cami- ran HUGE. For me, i would have to go down at least two sizes, and it is a little shorter than I'd like (though not as short as the Tulip) and it was extremely wide. I couldn't figure out how to make it work.
ReplyDeleteTulip- Ran a little big, mostly through the bust and underarms. It is very short, but would probably work with a higher waisted dress pant. The blue color is great with black and it looks really cute under a cardigan (and probably a blazer), but by itself it creates a very weird silhouette and made my hips look significantly bigger than my shoulders (which they aren't, I'm pretty much straight all the way down). Will buy if it gets marked down to under $45 or so.
I visited my J.Crew today, was looking at some of the stuff I had recently put on a birthday list so I didn't look around the store for much else, but you can see my review of the items I tried on my blog here.
ReplyDeletePromo sweater ends tonite. Pic of the Jackie cardigan in bavarian blue in this post. Also, links to other bloggers' sweater pics.
ReplyDeleteThe Cotton Stud Sweater, which is currently on the sweater promo, is on sale in stores for $39.99. I love it! I posted a pic of it on my blog today, and a pic of the Juliet pumps (which are back on the sale site today, in a multitude of sizes and colors) Love them both!
ReplyDeleteI just bought the Collete dress and the meritime stripe hoodie online!! I'll let you know how they run. I'm excited for both pieces to come in (prolly not till the end of the week as I'm all the way on the far west coast)...I'm eyeing the Paley Pant in super 120s in light heather grey for a wedding we're going to in November (but fearing it might be too early to start shopping for that!!) still, think it would be a nice change from the boring silk grey low cut dresses most females wear to these things...maybe pairing it with a white ruffle top of sorts..=) if anyone has tried this IRL, do they fit simliar to the minnies?
ReplyDeleteMe oh my, there was quite a sale update overnight! Over 1,000 items. I know what this means -- we will see extra % off sale sometime this week. But I saw some things I really wanted, so I bit and spent more than I'd anticipated, but I already know I will love everything, so it's all good.
ReplyDeleteWas really mad when a short icon trench fell out of my cart mid-checkout. It was only $89! :/
We shall see what ships. Hope it all does. Confetti ruffle cami (ivory), Glitterati party clutch (gold), Origami sheath dress (gray), Kerrington flats (bright orange), wool Fallyn skirt (gray).
Many thanks to all who have helped me clear out excess inventory to make room for new goodies! Will have lots more to share in the weekly sale post tomorrow. :)
Oh yikes! I called the shoes I was loving by the wrong name..... they are the Julienne sling-back pumps! {not Juliets. Sorry. Just saw Gnomeo with my kids....}
ReplyDeleteWaiting on an order, pair of classic fir Bowery cords and Bowery micro stripe pants.
ReplyDeleteHoping to see a promo for some of the newer spring items.
