Final Sale Back at Stores {plus 30% off}

"Thanks!" to Ketan who let us know the following news:
I just went to my local Jcrew and they are having 30% extra on sale. It is final, however.
Chances are, other local brick & mortar stores are carrying this sale too.

The additional 30% off is great! I was hoping it would come back to stores. (It seemed like awhile since the last one, and there are lots of items available in the Sale section of my local stores.) I am hoping that the Green Mickey Card can also be used with this offer.

Mini-Update: It seems like most B&M stores are not offering the additional percent off. :( However, if your local store is, please let us know! :)

Is your local B&M store offering an additional 30% off sale? Is it Final Sale too? If so, please share! :)

  1. Just left my B&M - no 30% final sale signs

  2. Karen, thanks for letting us know.

I called one of my local B&M and they said they did not have an additional percent off either. Maybe its just select stores at first, then the rest of us later this week (like for the weekend)?

  3. How funny, I felt lightheaded when I read this post and hurriedly logged on to the web site. Is this part of the addiction process? When you think you're going to "score" your substance you get all light headed and adrenaline rush-y???

I'm waiting for some shoe popbacks. At least I got my warm taupe Lindys, thank you eBay seller.

  4. Rose: I really hope so! Online is so much easier to shop. :)

Tamara: LOL! I knew what you mean. We are addicted, to the JCrack. ;)

  5. Oh no! Just bought the bell skirt! Must go back. And claim my rightful discount :)

  6. I must need an intervention from the JCrack! I saw this post and drove straight to my local B&M. I was so disappointed when I turned the corner to the sale area and didn't see 30% off signs. I hope the 30% off pops up online this week :0)

  7. I have a problem too... I immediately called my local J. Crack and they said they never heard of a 30% sale in store for this time!

  8. Just called the Chicago store and there is no additional % off sale. I think someone pulled our leg.

  11. Isn't it about time for Final Sale to be over with? It's getting toward the time of year for it to be Spring Sale with the *final* part gone for a couple of months.

  12. Hi guys! Ketan let me know that the J.Crew store she visited is in Menlo Park, NJ.

Unfortunately, it's not unusual for J.Crew to have sales at some stores and not in others. I remember some JCAs in the post-Holiday season enjoying 40% off the Sale while the rest of us only saw an additional 30%.

I suspect that some stores are getting the additional percent off to see if merchandise moves-- hopefully this will spread to other stores. :)

  13. I just got back from my B&M and there was no mention of final sale or 30% off sale items. However, I did find the pararuffle blouse for $24!

  14. @tamara: You are so funny! But I felt my heart beating faster when I saw this post too...hahaha..shopoholoics! I can smell additional % off this weekend online :)

  15. Don't know where else to put this post, sorry.... on skirt lengths and the downward trend, I saw yet another collection with below-the-knee skirts and dresses. Dries van Noten Fall 2011. Come on J Crew, take advantage of this growing trend and start delivering! Many of your customers want longer skirts!

    I love this coat.

  16. Pumpkin, I am getting up early tomorrow to check the web site for a promo, how sad is that? :)

  17. Seems like I may be in the minority but I would much rather have a promo on full price merch than another % off the tired old sale section online. Man, I could do some damage with a Mickey card if there was a B&M anywhere near me.

  18. tamara, the swim promo ends tomorrow night. The earliest for a % off promo is Thursday. I think you can sleep tomorrow morning ;-).

  19. At a b&m. Tulip cami just went down to $49.99 in front of me!!!

  20. Lame! Why do none of the stores know about this? That's messed up! I didn't make it in today, but maybe I'll pop in tomorrow ...

  21. Ladies and gents! There's an additional markdown on the way and new markdowns tomorrow in your nearest B&M.

Tulip cami - blue and white - $49.99
    Camp cami - now $19.99
    Lace tank - $19.99
A eyelette dress, navy & white - markeddown, don't know the name or price
Lots of belts being additional markdown and I saw a girl start adding new tags to some tees

  22. @tamara: no worries...same here. I want sequin sweatshirt, the new Haya bead and sequin sweatshirt is awesome...need to have it on sale :)

  23. Lots of new stuff added to final sale section this morning! I know this means new arrivals are coming but also hopefully a sale!

  24. OT - my mom's friend went to the prime outlets today in Smithfield, NC and on the Ralph Lauren side there's a recently vacated store that now is boasting a JCREW factory store coming soon! WAHOO!!! 2 factory stores in 45 mins of RDU. Sweet :)

  25. I put out a list of some of the new markdowns on my blog, www.shoppingonthefly.blogspot.com. I'm going to pop into the Fair Oaks store today to see what they have and get that 20% discount, hopefully. I don't dig final sale.

  26. The Liberty Bouquet Shirtdress was marked down to $99.99 this morning AND it's final sale now, too...that seemed really quick!

  27. I see some (a few) shoe prices have been reduced, and there are some new shoe additions to the FS.

Ema, thanks for the advice. I slept in and sure enough didn't miss anything. :)

  28. How strange, the cobblestone suede Coddington is back up to the $228 full price now. It had been marked down to $188 and was eligible for that 30% promo, that's how I got mine for $132. I wonder why the price went back up again.

  29. There is a difference between 'promo' pricing and a hard markdown. Various retailers will have a temporary sale or promo price on items. Sometimes they go to markdown after and sometimes they go back to regular price after the promotion has ended.

  30. I checked out the Jcrew here in Oklahoma City after seeing this post yesterday, but they're not having an extra 30% off.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Fabulous Florida Mommy, I totally agree with you. I'm tired of the prospect of items on sale, but no option of returning them, especially for things not available in stores!

  32. I was told this morning that only three stores are having an additional 30% off and all are in NJ: Menlo Park, Willowbrook, and I wasn't told the other location. HTH (if it is true; I spoke with some pretty crewless SAs--one told me that all B&Ms across the country were having 30% off; another denied completely that 30% off existed in stores, that it was only ever online, and that % off sales in stores only happened in August and December).

    ReplyDelete
  33. No 30% final sale signs at the B&M I visited today at lunchtime. Oh well, maybe tomorrow?!

Striped button back tee is now$24.99; lace stripe tee $19.99; lighthouse cardigan $39.99. Tons of other markdowns but didn't have time to look around. I'd really like an April catalog but the store did not have them out yet. Has anyone else seen the April catalog at their B&M?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Just came back from my B&M-- no % off sale either :( Why would they only do those 3 NJ stores I wonder?

shopalot, I just picked up an April catalog. I think almost everything in it is already online or in store, except for a few new swimsuit patterns.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Thanks for the catalog information, Jackie. For some reason, this particular store is very stingy with the catalogs. They always say, "no, we don't have it yet" when I know they're already being displayed at other stores. Whatever!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I visited my store in TN today, and no extra 30% off sale, and no April catalogs.

Tamara- I bet there will be an extra % on sale items tomorrow on the website and they marked the Coddingtons back up to full price so it wouldn't apply. Shady- I wanted those!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Allie, I never thought of that, and I'll bet you're right. I'm sure that's not the first time it's happened, that an item on sale has been put back to full price, but it's the first time I've seen it. There must be method to their madness, perhaps some psychological manipulation that makes us want items more. I still can't figure out why I sent my first pair of warm taupe Lindys back, then later decided that I couldn't live without them and ended up paying $30 more to get them from eBay. :(
