Extra 30% Off Sale & Free Shipping

"Thanks!" to many of you, including MeganCrew (in this post), Rosie (in this post), as well as Janet, Erika, & Ketan, who shared the promotion from J.Crew this morning.

J.Crew is offering customers 30% off all final sale items (no min) and free shipping (on $150+) with promo code SHOPNOW. This offer expires this Sunday, March 13, 2011.

The Final Sale section (click here to shop online) also had a great update this morning. Makes shopping even better! :)

Will you be checking out the Sale section? Are there any items you are hoping to see or to get? Does your local B&M have "final sale" as well?

  3. I knew it. I'll be calling CS!

  4. If anyone happens to go to a B&M let me know if they are offering the promo in stores. I still have my spring rewards and don't feel like placing an online order :)

  5. Wow! The Odeon High Heel Oxfords that I was raving about on my blog are down to $70 with the extra $$ off!! There is still a great size selection.... I'm not sure if the picture on the site doesn't do them justice, but they are great IRL. I posted a pic a few days ago....

  6. The men's cotton twill pleated shorts finally popped back, marked down to $19.99!

  7. I have no willpower. Sigh :( On a brighter note, here are some soon-to-be additions to my closet:

    - Miller short motorcycle flat
    - Noelle canvas and leather lace-up booties / olive moss
    - Lace tee / black
    - Kerrington metallic leather ballet flats / metallic pewter
    - Apogee necklace / antique silver

  8. AHHhHHH I called for the adjustment too... makes me so nervous asking for things like that, but they were willing to do it. I just couldn't wait to order yesterday because pieces that got cancelled on me before were back in the huge restock... plus was psyched the Odeon heels were so discounted despite being a newish-item? Thanks to Chic Chauffeur for reviewing and encouraging that acquisition. ;)

  9. Pass for me. I think I've set my own personal record for not placing any orders w/JCrew. For the first time ever, I rec'd an email last week from JCrew letting me know I had items in my shopping cart. I didn't know JCrew sent those!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Well, I got the old 'one-time courtesy' line from Shamika, but at least they honored it. I'll take it, but I really don't like feeling bad about asking. Urgh.

  12. IRL,
Same for me. I have not ordered in a long time and I remember when I used to spend several hundred each month! When I see $105 JBrand Jeans that JCrew is now selling in girls Crewcuts sales section it is time to look elsewhere for my daughter's clothing needs!

  13. I wonder if they'll replenish the FS stock this week, or take new markdowns.

  14. dear god i have absolutely NO willpower....couldn't resist lace tee, striped painter tee, solid thandie, and collette for $70 - now that is a steal, also used my rewards card before i forgot about it and let it expire....

    ReplyDelete
  15. WPZ - Sandy.....Can't wait to see a pic of you in those gorgeous shoes! So glad you got the extra discount. I just clicked send on the Lady Lace Popover. Thanks to FFM for the heads up!

  16. had two stretch cotton double serge pencil skirts in 4 and 6 in my cart in black and aqua... and then they disappeared like a cloud of smoke.

    augh.

  17. does anyone know how the glen plaid minnie fits. I have read some reviews that you should size up. any advice would be appreciated.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Do the stripe painter tees with the back zip fit similar to the vintage striped bateau top from last year?

    ReplyDelete
  19. frockgirl - i have the glen plaid minnies in my regular size and they are a tad bit on the loose side

    ReplyDelete
  20. I resisted today in hopes for new mark downs and a stock update.

  21. I am looking at some dresses. Does anyone have feedback on fit and sizing?

    Provence Dress item # 3718
Thessaly dress in whisper gingham item # 37374

    TIA! :-D

  22. Just scored a pair of Sutton Tall Midheel boots in black...took a gamble on the size. I have been a size 7 in past JC boots even though I have to size up to an 8 in their pumps. I hope the Suttons are normal!

Also got the Dotted Tulle Fineline Cami -- anyone tried that one? It looks pretty, hope it's not a hot mess on me.

  23. I ordered the Siren dress in the brick color because it will look great when I finally lose this waxy pallor and am back to my golden tan summer self. Love easy day dress dressing in the summer!

Also ordered the tuxedo end-on-end dress in charcoal because with the discount it is an inexpensive easy work outfit and this cut of dress flatters my figure.

And finally I picked up a dulphine cardigan in black because it came to $13.99. I am getting a major tattoo placed on my arm next month and wanted to pick up something cheap to wear every day for the week after my sessions (I have two) that I will not mind mucking up with lotion.

Not a bad sale- and this time I am completely sober while placing my order ;)

  24. Pathos! I reviewed the Provence a few weeks ago:

    Provence Dress
Very flattering and true to size. I got the white in size 8. You can't tell from the picture online, but the dress has a raised pattern of alternating vertical strips of swiss dots and cross hatching I find it very precious. The strips of fabric that define the empire waist and ruffle is actually a yellow khaki! It looks completely white in the photo. Also, the dress is lined and boned, which provides shape and structure. Unfortunately I'm returning this. For a casual dress I'd wear only once, $70 is too much. Were it around the $30 range I'd keep it.

UPDATE: $50 with 30% off. Wow!!

  25. I also have no will power. I ordered the Odeon heels thanks to TCC's blog.
I took a chance on the Trolley trench since I'm in need of a navy trench and the Matinee in my size is sold out. I also bought a belt and a tunic so hopefully they all fit well.

Hillary: Do you know if the Siren dress fits tts for a jersey type dress?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Hi there jcrewphd-
I would assume it's TTS. I usually take a Large in their knits and the cut of the dress looks like it will be just fine. I'm not that worried about it.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I was having a struggle about whether or not I should order one of the Collins shoes because the discounted price is very attractive, and then I realized that since they aren't final sale I can return them if they don't look right. Now I'm trying to decide which color and type of leather. If I had unlimited money I'd order 4 pairs !

    ReplyDelete
  28. @hillary: Thanks! I'm guessing it runs tts. I have the jersey promonade(?) dress from last year that I haven't worn and that one ran tts.

    ReplyDelete
  29. jcrewphd- I am pretty excited about it! I actually ordered it because I missed out on the promonade.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Clicquot: I have the Dotted Tulle Fineline Cami and it's very nice. Lovely fit through the torso, not too boxy, and no side zipper. Perfect champagne color.

    ReplyDelete
  31. jcrewphd, I reviewed the siren in last week's review post. It's TTS, but very flowy.

    ReplyDelete
  32. There, I did it. Collins in the mink leather. I love the tawny orange leather and the aged driftwood suede, but I don't have a lot of clothes that would work with those colors. I also picked up a Sequin Boy Tee and a couple of hair accessories for my niece.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Hi Cliquot -- I got the dotted tulle fineline cami. It's beautiful. Lined, drapey, gorgeous. Not TOO much of a lingerie vibe. I had tried it on in the store at $98 and got it during the last percent off.

Anyone seen the Lexington booties? I can't quite figure why they didn't sell. They're available in all sizes at about a third of their original price.

    ReplyDelete
  34. minzunuami-Thank you for reposting your review. White or blue, they are both so cute! I was also considering the Siren dress on sale, so thanks for the chatter on that too!

    ReplyDelete
  35. gratiae - I also think the glenn plaid minis run on the loose side. They are more a more trouser-ish fit than legging-ish fit to me (i hope that makes sense!).

    JCrewPHD....yay! love those shoes!

  36. I could swear there are a few sweaters that have been around since last fall and haven't been marked down since before Christmas... crazy.

    ReplyDelete
  37. ordered the lady lace popover in XXS in soft dune (at 12:12AM!) and its backordered till april 12 2011.
    Ugh!
    Anyone elses backordered?

  38. Can anyone help me out with the Merino sequined crochet cardigan?
    Sizing? Style? Worth the $$?
    Thanks.

  40. Can anyone comment on the sizing of the indigo boatneck sailor tee item #36217? I usually take a 2 or 4 in shirts but a S in perfect t-shirts because I hate them too clingy. Am debating between xs/xxs

    TIA!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Dotted Tulle Fineline CamiTried it on, but the fit & color bothered me. Not very flattering for my olive/yellow complexion & fit a bit tight.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Does anyone know how the washed crepe aveline fits? I'm deciding on whether to get it for a bridesmaid dress but haven't ever tried it on.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I placed an order last night when the code came up on the site and the sweaters were still on 20% off promo. I am so glad I waited as I got the additional 30% off with fs. I got the Brigade henley sweater and striped Saturday sweater and decided to order the Dorrie skirt to try on since it wasn't at my store.

  44. I am restraining myself but I know that if certain items pop back tomorrow morning, I may be in trouble. However I'm slightly annoyed by the minimum 150 for free shipping. J Crew, really??

    ReplyDelete
  45. Chic Chauffeur thank you so much for your review of the Odeons. Quick question - would you describe the upper portion as more of a nude or a blush? In your pics it looks to have a bit of a pink tint. Thanks again!

    ReplyDelete
  46. I jumped on this one. I'd been stalking the double-serge pencil skirts, waiting to grab the black and maybe a gray once they went on sale. (I've worn my ochre one like 40 times in the two months I've owned it.) They were out of everything in my size during the last 30 off promo, so this time I nabbed em both! Woohoo!

Severely annoyed by the $150 shipping caveat, though...a larger purchase for a Canadian like me just means more annoying duty fees. I did grab the Lisette shells in olive and black, though, since I've been eveying those for quite a while...and all four items together came to like $151 after the discount. BAM.

    ReplyDelete
  47. considering the cotton bell skirt---do i go w/ my normal size, or size up or down?? thanks:)

    ReplyDelete
  48. Nicole, the fit is very different. The striped painter tee is much more fitted than the vintage bateau, more like a perfect tee, but in a diffrtent, less clingy, cotton. If you are between sizes or you don't want it to be too clingy I would size up (I went with my regular size but it just fits). HTH!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Does anyone have experience with the fit of the Silk Serenade Colorblock Dress? I ordered it in ashen blue at 30% off its much reduced price. Just curious. I ordered the 4, but wear a 2 usually. I realize the dress already fits loosely and will probably be larger, so I may try to get it tailored; I just couldn't stop thinking about that blue-orange pairing.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Just received an order today from the last 30% off promo and now bam! another 30% off sale offer. Does J.Crew have a glut of winter stock or are sales truly slow?

And then the 30% off the sale pulls me in and tries to enable my shopping. I really wonder who will win; the J.Crew discount code or my will power.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Anyone know what "Waitlisted" on your order means? I know the item had an expected ship date of May. Now the date has jumped to July for the Distressed denim belt.

    TIA

    ReplyDelete
  52. Ahhhh Megan, I'm obsessed with that dress in that colour way... I had the size 2 in my cart but of course it went out of stock as I didn't commit to checking out in time... would probably be too big for me at that size but I too figured I could do some sewing to make it work. Please post how it turns out for you if possible!! I'm crossing my fingers for a popback...

  53. I'm not the only person planning to log on early tomorrow morning, am I? 6:30am central time, that's my target.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Tamara,

I've been known to wake up at 3:00am b/c the update was in the back of my mind. Of course I get really sour when nothing is updated or they wait till late to update.

Glad I bought yesterday, and now I'm at a no buy/sell off period.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Among other things I ordered sequin boy tee in both olive spice and natural cotton.

I tried it in store on Sunday (it was $118 vs. online $89) and I was in love but wanted to wait for a better price. Tee fits fantastic!!! I highly recommend it. So when I saw this morning 30% off I was in heaven. I knew I had to have it. No WILL POWER here either.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Amelia - sorry, just now logging back on. Definitely nude or light tan or buff.....and then kind of Mediterranean olive-ish on bottom! I do not think there is any hint of pink!! Good luck!

  58. No update yet this morning? Anyone?

    ReplyDelete
  59. Just noticed a super mini update, with a few new items (more double-serge skirts), and a few more sizes/colors in some items. Nothing really major though.

    ReplyDelete
  60. @shopwithm-- thx! I woke up early to stalk a couple of outerwear items but sadly that section wasn't updated. :( I did, however, just snag the double-serge skirt in bronzed ochre and nightfall in my size, which is great-- I LOVE that skirt but every time I've looked for it all that's left in my size has been black and pearl gray-- the two colors I already own! Whether I keep both, only one, or return both, it's great to have the chance to check them out at home w/o worrying about whether or not I can return them. And in such beautiful colors, that will totally work through spring! So thx!

C u all tomorrow morning, btw-- I want those coats!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Well finally bit the bullet with the mini update this morning. Purchased both colors of the sequin boy tee...I had to after Pumpkins review! The black polka dot ballet flats showed up with the update so I snatched some of those as well as some other items. I had to use up my spring rewards which was going to expire on the 15th (that will be my excuse)!

    ReplyDelete
  62. So is it possible that there will be some updates later today, or do I have to get up early again tomorrow? :)

    ReplyDelete
  63. @Stene: I am glad you purchased those Sequin boy tees as well! They are fantastic. You are going to love them.

Btw I called JC to see if they can adjust prices on my Sunday order and since I used free shipping code, they said that they can't override it :( Bummer!

    ReplyDelete
  64. I have a couple items in my cart but am lazy to look for tag-alongs to make it to the $150 total. I'm hoping for an outerwear pop-back (hi, Jacqueline, above!)... There was a small update this morning but not in my size.

If anyone is searching for a denim pencil skirt, search for it-- it's not the tailored denim pencil skirt, which I have (and has pockets)-- but it's hidden and currently on sale in many sizes for 29.99.

    ReplyDelete
  65. The white Sequin Boy Tee, is it a yellowish white like the Drapey Sequin Tank's white ash color? Or is it more of a whiter white? I'm hoping for the latter. I ordered the Boy Tee without seeing it in a store.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Oh Tamara, you are too much :)

I'm patiently waiting for the trouper pants to restock in my size...

    ReplyDelete
  67. I feel like if the warm taupe Lindys in 6.5 pop back, I'm going to be like one of those women in Oprah's audience when she gave away the car. Ha! I'm beginning to think that wanting them is much more exciting than actually owning them. :) Thank you J Crew for reducing me to a web site stalker.

    ReplyDelete
  68. @ Tamara: I did not see the white one in the store either. Just the olive one. I am soo hoping that it is white because it was FS. Will find out tomorrow since my order is arriving :)

    ReplyDelete
  69. I think an update is coming...google the item you are looking for. I was able to find a lot of things I was watching for before it shows under the sale section.

  70. The SHOPNOW minimum for free shipping has been changed to $100.
