Madewell Email: The jean scene (plus, 25% off sale items and free shipping)

"Thanks!" to many of you, including Irina, who shared the following email from Madewell this morning.

The email promotes Madewell's Denim Bar (click here to shop online). It also reminds us about their great incentive to try their jeans: The Genius Jeans Guarantee. Customers get free shipping and free returns on all jeans, all the time. Pretty amazing!

Don't forget! They are offering 25% off (on sale items) and free shipping (on $100+) with promo code WHYNOT. This offer ends Sunday, March 20, 2011.

Will you be checking out the shoes at Madewell? Are there any items you are interested in getting? If so, please share. :)

  2. I'm waitlisted for the Widelegger jeans, so I don't have any plans to try different styles right now.

  3. I like the look of white jeans but how does anyone keep them clean? I'd be afraid to sit down. :)

  4. tamara - I feel exactly the same way! I think white jeans and pants are so cute, but I just can't imagine wearing them for more than 5 min without getting something on them! I'm sure as soon as I got into my car, I'd brush up against the outside, and be dirty for the day. Oh well, I'll just have to admire the look from afar. :)

  5. tamara and ajr: I have 4 boys and still wear white jeans during the spring and summer. Surprising thing is that they rarely get dirty. I always expect that it's going to happen, so I'm prepared not to be upset about it, but I have only had a couple times when it has actually occurred. Plus I haven't ever spent a lot on my white denim, so that way I'm not devastated if they get ruined. I think you should both give them a try. Maybe start out with an inexpensive pair just to give it a go? White denim and/or pants goe with SO many things during the summer...it's a shame not to wear them! :)

  6. I just got a pair of the rail straight jeans and am very impressed. I like the thinner denim... just the right amount of stretch... and the straight leg is skinny enough for me (with my large hips) and gives me enough of a skinny jeans look. The regular length at 34" is perfect for me... BR jeans are too short! The only thing I'm not crazy about is that the hem doesn't have the traditional "jeans" yellowish thread so they sort of look like I've had them hemmed. But for the price (I usually buy Hudson or Joe's at more than double what these cost) I can certainly live with it! This will definitely not be my last jeans purchase from Madewell.

  7. Another vote for white denim! I've never had to spot clean them but there is always the Clorox bleach stick, right?

I wonder who can get away with wearing these tighty whitey's: paige® verdugo jeggings in white

  8. FFM - Thanks for the input! I have to say, if you have 4 boys and aren't afraid to wear them, then I really have no excuse. Like I said, I really do like the look. You have inspired me to keep an eye out for an inexpensive pair! Thanks! :)

    IRL - so true! :)

  9. I have a pair of Madewell rail straight white jeans and I really like them. I don't wear them much but they are really nice in the summer. And you can always bleach them if they get stained like IRL said :)

  10. I love my white pants and have several pair in different cuts and lengths. I have a bleach pen and use it if I get something on them, which does happen occasionally. :)
