This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SPRING & SUMMER sale, or to see some new SUMMER arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!
Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)
I visited The Grove, CA collection store on Friday and they still had the 30% off Final Sale.
ReplyDeleteI bought the fringe tunic in pink, scarf, sparkles dot cami for my mom, castillo eyelet cami, and the fleurette pencil skirt (I went up a size for this).
Subscribing. :)

ReplyDeleteHave been on a J. Crew fixation and went to a separate J. Crew every day this weekend (sadly, lol). Got the last ISLAND PAISLEY POCKET CARDIGAN at the University Village store in Seattle for 27.99 (39.99 + 30% off). They were actually all sold out, but I nabbed the one on the mannequin :). I've noticed that at least another store in Seattle is all sold out of those but there's one sitting on the mannequin and no one thinks to get it!
ReplyDeleteAlso got two of the PERFECT FIT LONG SLEEVE CREWNECK tees - the stores just got in some new fall colors that aren't on the website, including this gorgeous bronze-y green which I picked up.
Got the blue LIGHTWEIGHT COTTON COTTAGE SKIRT - the stores are fairly well stocked in these. They were full priced in stores but I mentioned that it was 34.50 on the website so I got the discount!
Found the DRAPED GLASS NECKLACE at the Bellevue store; it and Downtown Seattle had several of these. It's $150 full price but was on sale for 49.99 + 30% off (34.99)!
Also went to the factory store in Marysville and got a marled long-sleeved sweatshirt similar to the Haya and Jaspe styles they've had on the website recently.
Oh also, it looks like many colors of the JACKIE CARDIGAN just went on sale (this morning?) on the website for 39.99, and these are the colors that are actually in stores right now. So if you're thinking of getting one of these be sure to mention the website sale price and you'll be able to get them at that price!
ReplyDeletesocialscientist, thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately, the B&M's don't honor the web prices. I pointed out to an SA that the jackies in store were full-priced, but were on sale online, and she said that she couldn't honor the price (but that I could order off the red phone). Just fyi.
ReplyDeleteI've had to talk to the manager to get the sale price for Jackies. The SA's usually don't know any better :( HTH!
ReplyDeleteMy SA gets the OK from the manager - or even co-manager to honor the online pricing. They do it if you ask nicely!
ReplyDeleteLaurenPhD,
ReplyDeleteYes, you are right managers are all different. Some honor online prices and others do not. Depends on store not nec. who you talk to:(
I actually visited Willow Grove B&M to make a return with my sister. I ended up browsing the Final sale rack since it was additional 30% off. I didn't plan on buying anything but with some sisterly peer pressure I ended up with the Fiesta floral tunic. I wasn't sure if I was going to keep it, but I wore it Saturday night and it was so pretty and lightweight! Perfect for this Summer heat wave we have been experiencing! I def recommend sizing down! :)
ReplyDeleteThe new manager at my b&m wouldn't allow me to have the sale price on the jackie. He told me he could call to confirm the sale price, but he couldn't sell it to me at the sale price (so, then why call???). The other manager allowed me to have it for the sale price, plus the 30% offh. Of course, by then my size was gone in the b&m and they had to order it, but my ps got it for me with the 30% plus free shipping.
ReplyDeleteWow, made yet another trip to J. Crew today (this is what, my fourth consecutive day purchasing something??? Sadness ^_^;;;;). Amazingly the mounds of ART TEES seem to be selling out, or at least out of the smaller sizes at all the Seattle stores, and just when I decided I needed one to match my green Cascading Always Cardigan too. Downtown Seattle probably has the best selection and availability for small sizes; UVillage has a decent selection as well. I managed to get one (style 27326, not on the site anymore) that I actually rather like, and they still have the 30% of all sale items.
ReplyDeleteI also got the COTTON-WOOL RUFFLED PLACKET CARDIGAN in Orchid Shadow for 34.99 (49.99 - 30%) after some hesitation as I've bought way too much recently. I ordered the Scout Chino [capris] online in the Soft Violet and after color-matching some pieces in the store, I decided the purple cardigan would make a nice color-happy ensemble with it.
It looked like there were also a number of the SKIMMER PANT and SCOUT CHINOS in the sale section for 29.99 and 19.99!
To be safe, if you're thinking about buying Jackies at the B&M, bring a print out with the online price. I was denied the PA without it, a few days later I brought a printout and got the discount. Different SAs on different days, but it was good to have the backup.
ReplyDeleteI scored the Nolita jacket in white for only $15 after the discount. Woohoo!
ReplyDeleteI went to Northpark Mall store this weekend and saw the island paisley sweater for 69.99+ 30%. I was tempted but I know in some stores are like 39.99 before the 30% so I decided to pass.
ReplyDeleteLaura - have the SA check the price on the Island Paisley Pocket Cardigan for you - it may just not have the most recent markdown marked on it!
ReplyDeleteAny black minnies out there in a size 4?? I have practically no black in my wardrobe and think this could work for me.
ReplyDeletesocialscientist, I asked the SA about the price and she didn't check it but said that was the final sale price plus the 30%off :(
