Also "thanks!" to many of you who have been reporting back from trips to your local brick & mortar (B&M) stores. From the comments, it sounds like stores are still offering customers an additional 30% off Final Sale (which is fantastic!) Not sure how long it will last though.
Will you be taking advantage of this promotion? Are there any sale items you are interested in getting before the promo ends?
Side Note: I just wanted to give a "shout-out" to all the incredible JCAs who have sent me emails with attachments of J.Crew spottings in magazines, look books, sneak peeks, etc. If you haven't heard from me yet it's because I am a bit back-logged. I am slowly working my way through all the emails and trying to catch-up to post the latest. Rest assured, I will post them all. More importantly, you guys are the best. This is why I love our little community- because it rocks! :)

Is it just me or has J.Crew played a lot of inventory stocking games the past couple of days? I bought the dottsalotta cami on Sunday and now its gone from the website. Today I see more camis and more pencil skirts than before that weren't there on Sunday I would have bought then.

ReplyDeleteI bought some things online during this final sale season, but there's no indication on the packing receipt that my purchase was a final sale. If I wanted to return some items (to a B&M) would they give me grief about it, that is, do their records indicate that it was a final sale, and thus they would not accept the return?

November - I have been able to return items that do not indicate Final Sale on the invoice without a problem, so you should be ok.

Just received an order with some fall sweaters in it to try out.
ReplyDeleteLove the merino vest. Menswear styled. Not too long which is a problem I usually have with J.Crew tops in general. Hope it will come in more colors (charcoal and a greenish color currently).
Also ordered the cody cashmere cardigan. Really like the bronzed olive color, but the fit is really wacko on me. The vee is pretty deep in front and the pockets hit my stomach in a most unflattering spot. Would probably look better on someone taller and longer waisted (I am very short waisted.)
Looking forward to trying on more items in the store soon.

I went to the J.Crew oulet in Napa this past weekend and scored some serious deals on the scoopneck tees and a pair of matchstick jeans for $19.99 with an additional 30% off. Gotta love those deals=)

ReplyDeleteI thought the cody cashmere sweater and merino vest ran TTS. I ordered my usual sweater size in small for both of those. For a comparison, I wear medium in the Jackie and Jenna cardigans which I think run smaller.

Big restock this morning. Women's sales items number above 1000. I'm so sick of looking at the same 90 sweaters and 100 tee's...and it's just assinine that the B&M stores have an extra %20-30% off. I'm feeling very penalized for living north of the border. There was talk back in the 90's of opening up some stores in Canada but guess that dream is loooong over. guess I'm grumpy from waiting for the new fall roll out. can't wait.
