This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SUMMER sale, or to see some new SUMMER arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!
Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)
P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!
Lunch downtown so I will probably be going.
ReplyDeleteOOTD of the Factory pencil skirt & Tessa Top here.
Going to my SF downtown B&M to see if the No. 2 pencil skirt Deck Stripe in coastal blue is on sale. That color is sold out online in size of 2, hoping to score a deal. It would be even better if it's on sale minus 30%! *crossing my fingers*
ReplyDeleteHoping to hit a factory store this weekend. Does anyone know if the factory pencil skirts are cheaper in-store or if there are any factory promos I should be aware of? TIA!
ReplyDeleteLast time I was in the factory store they didn't have better deals than the website. The skirt I got was still full price in the store.
DeleteThanks Rose
DeleteIf anyone sees any featherweight cotton cardis, chambray top, or cece leather flats in a neutral color please let me know. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteat this moment family is locking garage and piling logs & dead trees at bottom of driveway to keep me away, since car automatically heads for malls with JCs. Or for cute little towns with cute little "JC at the Beach" stores. Help.
ReplyDeleteI can give you a ride.
DeleteLet's make it a carpool & stop @ a quaint cafe for lunch!!! ;o)
DeleteChampagne first. That's how the best decisions are made! lol
DeleteA road trip to a JC on the beach sounds like an ideal vacation to me! :-)
Deletewellfedfred.....hee hee! You're asking US for help! The only thing that makes me feel ok about my Crew problem is enabling all of you....ha! So I'll have friends with really nice clothings in the poorhouse with me.
ReplyDeleteoops...meant really nice CLOTHES.....
ReplyDeleteYes Fred I think the "help" here would be of a different sort, when I read your comment my thought was "hmm, sounds like fun, how many malls can we hit?...I didn't know there were JC beach shops in cute towns, let's go!"
ReplyDeleteSo many temptations for you, it would take more than a few logs if I were faced with same. I only have to stay off the website, and I'm going to an island this weekend with no internet thank goodness!
Have a great weekend JCA's!
Family jokes that I'll be featured on an episode of "Hoarders" under piles of J Crew cardigans! The prices are crazy cheap and I can't help myself ...
ReplyDeleteTruly laughing out loud ... tree-trunk barricades, no internet access ... my immediate thought is well, I still have my cell phone and the 800 number memorized!
ReplyDeleteIs the Retro-dot tunic on sale in the stores?
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know the price of the garden floral ella in stores? That will determine if I order online or go into the store next week... thanks!
ReplyDeleteI'm also looking for the garden floral ella dress! Please let me know if you see it in a 6! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteinjanuity at gmail dot com
Found one! Thank you to the Orlando store for finding me one at a different location and having it shipped to me! :)
DeleteLzab - the dress was $69.99 less 30%! :)
Thank you very much! Hopefully they will have another size 6 around me! :)
DeleteGood luck to you! I called one store in New Jersey (sold out) and randomly picked Orlando to call. The SA was super helpful (they only had a 4 left in her store). The price is awesome, love this dress (I have the skirt, too!).
DeleteApparently there are none left in this state either and it's low stock online.. eek! act now! I really need the skirt too, but I can justify the dress right now for a wedding at least!
DeleteI think the skirt is down to 34.99 before the 30% off! I hope you can find the dress! I called customer service this morning, the CS told me that they would price match the store (promotion, not sure if in store price) if I was calling through the red phone. Maybe one of the more seasoned JCAs can comment on this!
DeleteThey had a lot of sizes in the dress at both Westfield SF store and the Emeryville, CA store, I would give them a call!
DeleteLots of sizes of the Ella Garden Floral dress at Cherry Creek, Colorado. 303-322-7020
DeleteI'm not going to visit this weekend, but I went last night. The selection is waning, but there are occasional amazing deals to be had.
ReplyDeleteI posted more information on my trip yesterday and some photos on my blog:
http://apackageaday.blogspot.com/2012/06/j-crew-in-store-sale-gems.html
Me too fred, LOL! My whole family knows that the first thing I do no matter where I'm going is check to see if there's a JC nearby and plan accordingly. LOLOLOL
ReplyDeleteThat's like me and Starbucks a few years ago. Now it's J Crew AND Starbucks.
DeleteSorry for the double post but are most B&M's still offering an extra 30% off sale prices right now or no?
ReplyDeleteyes. I was at my b&m this afternoon. Although the sale section is getting mighty picked over. grabbed the ram bracelet, and a neon pink vintage t-shirt
DeleteI am going down to Seattle tommorow.
ReplyDelete** first stop mailbox in Blaine to pick up last 30% off order ( 2 parcels in fact)
**next downtown Seatlle Jcrew...try on things from parcels/return what I don't wnat and shop sale section
**third stop Nordstroms rack...love this place
**fourth stop U Village or Bellevue J crew ( maybe both if need be)...I will ask at downtown store to call ahead if there are any items I am looking for in certain sizes (thanks Rose)Any been lately to know which one is better stocked in larger sizes ?
** final stop is Seattle outlet for Crewlet
***I don't stop for food (washrooms breaks only)Add the stops up and its all day I am gone . I have a tween boy at home and a hubby who can't believe this takes all day.
I am going to be good and ONLY get what I really like...not just because it is on SALE...PROMISE...
Am keeping my fingers crossed for Lucca sandals in Apricot mist...Wish me luck. I will report back sat evening for Vancouverites who might want to head down since it is a long weekend. Carolyn from Vancouver
Hi Carolyn - I'd like to know too. Vancouver is home for me (currently living in Alberta), and we're going there for a visit in a couple of weeks. We'll be taking a road trip down to Seattle. Curious to know which JCrew is best to go to - I doubt we'll be able to hit all 3 since we'll have our baby with us!
DeleteCarolyn and injanuity - I live in Seattle and frequent the stores here regularly. I would say my order of preference is Downtown, UVillage, Bellevue. Downtown is usually best, but the last week or so I have been pleasantly surprised at UVillage's sale inventory, and they are running the extra 30% off (not sure about Downtown but I will be popping in there later to see). I made some good finds at UVillage, so I'd check it out. Not all the sale merch is in the sale section; it's scattered around so make sure you check prices on things you like. They will also price match to online if an item is on sale but FP in store. So all of that's to say that if you can swing hitting both Downtown and UVillage, I would do both.
DeleteAlso, the trip to UVillage is worth it right now if you like Madewell. It's next door to the J.Crew, and they are still having an extra 40% off of sale as of yesterday. I found their sale section to be nicely stocked, with more on sale than is on sale online.
Hope that helps, ladies! Have a fun trip :)
pretty addicted - thanks for all the info! I'll check back in with you in a couple of weeks to see what the stores are like closer to our trip. I miss being so close to Seattle. :)
DeleteThanks as well... If you get to the downtown and know if the 30% is still on can you post and let know...I could stop a U village first...then Downtown and save Bellevue to last...oh I am just not going to sleep tonight..I get so excited about my away shopping trips as I usually only do this a few times a year. By the way I try to bring a few things home for the boys. CAROLYN from VANCOUVER
DeleteI find Madewell too young for me. I am in my late fourties. It seems very younger sister to the crew and teen/twenties apporporiate. Just my opinion though. Carolyn from Vancouver
Deleteinjanuity - Sure just let me know! I'll do my best to give you an accurate assessment :)
DeleteCarolyn - I stopped by Downtown today, and the 30% is still going. Not too many gems; it was full but kind of picked over, lots of xxsmall and xlarge sizes, so if that's you then it could be a bonanza. Also lots of Marci patent wedges. Probably worth a look in there ... you never know what you'll find. Plus they have lots of FP items (more of a variety than the other area stores). I picked up the new indigo dot boy shirt that slastena mentioned here; they didn't have it at UVillage when I was there. Anyway, I hope you have a great trip ... enjoy, and please share what you find :)
Best service is Seattle Pacific Place (ask for Kusi or Lisa or any of the staff - they are super helpful and customer focused!) they go out of the way to help, big selection at University Village but not so great service (they will not do you any favors or help with sales), Bellevue Square is hit or miss, but usually has more accessories.
DeletePopped in this am. 30% off still going on but is getting picked over. Got the linen tippi in neon pink for $39.99, 9' paisley short $44.99 Nd stripe linen open stitch sweatér in golden sun/driftwood for $49.99 all plus extra 30% off! Horray!
ReplyDeleteWhich animal pieces of jewelry are on sale?? I'm wanting to purchase one but I can't figure out which because they are all so darn cute!! If anyone knows the prices or has a personal fav. please let me know :)!
ReplyDeleteI got the ram bracelet at $49 before discounts- very pretty.
DeleteRam and giraffe. Snail is $15 if you find it.
DeleteMe again, sorry ... if anyone happens to spot the red origami wool sheath dress [size 8] in a store and it's marked down (and they're doing 30% off sale on top of that) could you pretty please let me know? My store had it and sent it away because it wasn't selling, arrgghh! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteelaine dot hamill at gmail dot com
Elaine,
ReplyDeleteI think that the Fairoaks, VA store had at least one as of yesterday on sale. I dont remember exactly which size, but i want to say it was either an 8 or a 10. Their # is 703 273 0291.
Going to the Columbus Circle store this afternoon after an appointment I have in the city. I hope they have a pair of ankle zip matchsticks in ancient fig (size 28, pleeaaase) but I'm not holding my breath. I'm also hoping for a steal on some navy Lucca Sandals (9.5) and/or a linen Tippi in some darker color.. I should get a prize just for braving the heat, IMO. =)
ReplyDelete*toothpicks, not matchsticks.. my bad.
DeleteJ.Crew road-trip!! I'll pack the snacks!
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know if the double crystal brulee necklace has gone on sale in stores yet? Or is it just online?
ReplyDeleteThanks.
Still full price in store, as of 2-3 days ago.
DeleteThe orange "vibrant flame" double brulee has gone on sale for about $55 before discount (can't remember exactly), I have not seen the crystal one in my stores ever, and the blue is on sale but are mostly sold out from what I can tell. I bought all three online and the orange is my least favorite by far -- am planning to return.
DeleteThank you for this information - very helpful, audreys. I ordered the clear one a couple months ago and really liked it but thought it might be too much bling for my lifestyle. I'd love to see the navy in person.
DeleteI think I saw that the blue one is on sale also at my b&m
DeleteCate - I just got back from my store here in Virginia (Short Pump Town Center) and they had one double clear brûlée necklace hanging with the sale jewelry!! I bought the large turquoise brûlée early this week, lol. So resisted them today.
DeleteGive them a call!
How much are the double brulee necklaces in store? Thanks!
DeleteI went last night and the selection was still good and the 30% off going on. Posted some reviews today (see HERE) and I need advice on whether I should buy Lilah dress that I have on hold. Please let me know what you think, I'd appreciate some advice! TIA
ReplyDeleteAJC, SO pretty!!!
DeleteObsessedWShopping.....I picked up the Enamel Ram bracelet for $49.00 a week or so back and yesterday I got the enameled giraffe bracelet for $35.00. Those are the only animal pieces my store had so I can't tell you about any others. I did ask about the seahorse necklace and was told it's not on sale in stores yet. I'm hoping to get it!
ReplyDeleteStraycat, was the giraffe bracelet 35 before the discount? Thanks!
DeleteStray cat-does your store still have both? If so what is their number? I'd love to find these two together! Thanks so much!
DeleteTysons Corner VA had lots of both as of yesterday...
DeleteI've heard the Ram Head necklace is already on sale for $89.99 - if anyone sees one this weekend please let me know which store.
ReplyDeleteAlso so this at Tysons Corner as of yesterday...
DeleteI made a quick stop into the Orlando store this morning, and they are still running the extra 30% off. The sale section is still packed with tons of tees, cardigans, No. 2 cotton pencil skirts, and No. 2 pencil skirts in Caribbean tweed, both in various sizes. The Brompton straw hobo was marked down to $129.99 before the discount (still full-price online) and there was one of them left. The Café capri in silk foulard is $99.99 in-store before the discount - still $159.99 online. There was one purple Lucille eyelet dress in a size 4, as well as two Ella dresses in Garden floral size 4, and one size 00. I looked for the pencil skirt in Garden Floral for those who mentioned they were looking for it, but didn't see any. The Attaché dress in linen-canvas was marked down to $34.99 before the discount. I saw sizes 2 and 4 in both colors of the dress.
ReplyDeleteDo you happent o know how much the Ella dress was?
DeleteThanks!!
Lavish Lemonade Stand: The Ella in Garden Floral is $69.99 before the extra 30% discount.
DeleteJust want to say thank you FFM. I called the Tampa store yesterday and grabbed the Raj Paisley sundress in 12 that you reported seeing the other day.
DeleteJruby18: I'm glad to hear that they still had the dress and you were able to get it. I love mine, and plan to wear it again next week. :)
DeleteSearching for a No. 2 Pencil skirt in the Porcelain Paisley (size 6) and a black polka-dot popover (size 4 or 6). I would very much appreciate leads! autumnbrazier at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteI picked up some odds and ends - a Jackie in creamy peach, perfect tees, a Tippi, and heaven help me a garden floral crewcuts sundress for my little to match me in my pencil! First mother/daughter matching set - I die!!
ReplyDeleteI have the exact same matching set! May as well do it as long as the girls allow it, right??
DeleteHow fun! I wish there was a crewcuts by me. I would've loved to get a matching Garden floral for my girl!
DeleteJruby18: The Tampa store has a crewcuts and the girls' sale section was pretty full when I was in there last week. You might try giving them a call to see if they happen to have the dress for your daughter.
DeleteThx for the tip! I'm going to give 'em a call!
DeleteMaryMoo which store did you go to? Love that you got a matching set! :)
ReplyDeleteThe deals are irresistible. With my educator discount I got the Linen Tippi for $17! Also couldn't resist the No. 2 in Caribbean Tweed (GORGEOUS colors) and the Tillary Pursette or whatever it is called. Also placed an order for Bennett Chinos online because in store they are $29.99 (which after discounts $17.24) but still full price online! Oh happy day.
ReplyDeleteJust posted some reviews of sale items HERE
ReplyDeleteLuxette.....I contacted my VPS (Very Personal Stylist) and he found me a Rams Head Necklace. I wouldn't even bother with trying to call stores or wait for someone to post a citing. My VPS is James Miller at James.Miller@jcrew.com. 1-800-261-7422 ext 69088. He is in the office today. Good Luck!
ReplyDeletestraycat sorry to post here again, but did you get the giraffe bracelet for 35 before the 30% off? Thanks!
DeleteThanks!
DeleteThanks for sharing your VPS' contact info! My VPS has not responded to any of my last few emails, so I think it's time we parted ways. Any idea on how one goes about switching their VPS? Can I just contact yours?
DeleteThanks!
ObsessedWShopping....Here are the two phone numbers for the stores I shop at and found the RAm and Giraffe bracelets and the giraffe necklace at: 503-624-6386 and 503-598-7414. I'm not sure what they have left, so you'd have to call them. Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteStraycat, do you know if the mini ram bangle is also on sale? Thanks!
DeleteLeah, if the mini ram bracelet is the one that is matte gold, no enamel, it rang up as $95 and is not on sale (6/29).
DeleteYes, that's the one, darn it! :) Thanks very much, gigi!
DeleteThe jewelry deserves its own post! Ok, sorry, I am still confused: is the giraffe double-strand necklace (item 92689) on sale, or is the ram the only necklace on sale?
DeleteAD MD....The giraffe bracelet is marked down to $49.99 THEN another 30% off.....so $34.99 total. It's really beautiful in person!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I"ll have to get it if I can find one!
Deleteinjanuity.....Contact James! He's super nice and friendly and has found two sold out items for me. I just happened to "get" him when I called the 1-800 line and I really liked him, so I called him this morning and within a short time he found me the ram necklace. Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteThank you straycat! I just sent him an email. I hope he can help me with my list! :)
Delete@Elaine - Crabtree
ReplyDeleteinjanuity.....I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! He did tell me is on vacation next week. So I hope he can get to your list today.
ReplyDeleteFor those wondering about factory pomotions, check the website for your outlet. Gilroy and Napa both list their promotions and the dates, so you can decide if it is worth the trip. I'll probably wait for the 4th.
ReplyDeleteAt Yorkdale today - 30% off still going strong (but no educator discount, boo). Sale section seems to be creeping its way around most of the second room. Lots of selection but some things in limited sizes - for ex. 12 Tessas in safari cat, all of them sizes 0 or 00 (really?) But worth a rummage - ring-around eyelet tops on sale $48, open-weave stripe linen sweaters $56 -30%, both still fp online. Lots and lots of the garden floral dresses in all sizes.
ReplyDeleteCan you post a link to the open-weave stripe linen sweater? I'm hoping it's item 84368. Thank you!
DeleteLisa, I got item 84368 today for $49.99 plus 30% off making it $35. It was marked down in both the yellow/tan and navy/white color ways. I recommend the smaller of your Jcrew sizes as it is roomy. I took an xs and is still plenty roomy and being linen, it will probably stretch when worn.. I got the yellow and Iove it especially for $50 off fp.
DeleteThank you! I had to make the trip to get this sweater...I left the mall with it on over my dress. :)
DeleteSo glad to help you! Which color did you get and what do you plan to wear it with?
DeleteI did the same thing! Didn't expect to like the sweater as much as I did, totally a steal with the extra % - but yes, you do have to size down at least once. There weren't many smaller sizes left in either colorway as a result, so if anyone is thinking of getting it, take that into consideration.
DeleteI did. Had to check it out for those items that were still on my wish list.
ReplyDeleteGot the mint Tillary purse for $41.00, the white giraffe bracelet for $29.00 and a pair of Weatherby rain boots for $17.00!!! B&M here giving 30% along with the 15% student discount.
Suzy, did you happen to notice whether there were any navy 9 Weatherbys? Thanks :)
Deletemommydearest - there were green and red in 9's (that's my size as well!)
DeleteTY! I have red - it's VERY cheerful, no? - and would really like to find navy. Thanks again, Suzy!!
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteMommydearest, try the Cherry Creek, Colorado store they had lots of Weatherby's in all colors, lots of sizes. No rain here this spring, summer unfortunately, so rain boots appear to not be selling. $19.00 prior to 30% off I believe. 303-322-7020.
DeleteThank you so much for the recommendation! I did give them a call and no navy in my size. Too bad. Thank you for thinking of me though!
DeleteCan anyone talk about the Maritime Stripe Blazer #37227? Anyone own or do a review of this item? I'm thinking about ordering it, but can't remember reading any reviews.....thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteI ordered the Maritime Stripe blazer a few months ago during a 20% off knits sale. I ended up returning it as I found it a little blah and didn't do much for my complexion. I ordered the 'dragonfly blue' which is navy stripe on off-white, which is more like a pale greyish beige in real life. Runs large - I ordered my usual size Small and it was too big on me. Sorry - not the greatest review but I hope that helps!
Deletestraycat - I reviewed it and have links to 6 or so other blogger irl pics in this post. Spoiler alert. I didn't get the feeling.
DeleteStraycat, I own it. I was silly and ordered at at full price (crazy) I know. With that being said, I do like it. It does run slightly on the big side. I like that it is washable and washed it for the first time this week. The area around the pockets seemed to shrink up, and I dried for about 15 minutes then line dried. I am hoping it still looks ok next time I wear it. :/
DeleteI just picked this up last night at my store. I really love it! It's the perfect weight, I love that is was a little fitted in the waist, and the not so structured look of it made it even more appealing to me for summer. I bought the navy/ecru stripe color way. I think it is more versatile for styling. HTH
DeleteWent to the Columbus Circle B&M. Kind of hit or miss. Overall, if you're a size 00, 0, 2, or 10, you're in luck. Saw two coral Tillary purses for $69 before the extra 30% as well as a cedar plank Margate Purse. A whole slew of pencil skirts were on sale as well for something like $60 before the 30%. Also, all 3" chino shorts were $35. Lots of loose-fitting tanks, not much in the way of shoes. Lots of silk foulard cafe capris and button down shirts.
ReplyDeleteI found the last pair of ankle-zip toothpick jeans in ancient fig, and they were size 28 but they were waaay too small. Long story short, the SA I talked to was a saint and she ended up calling the catalog for me. Grand total = $41. Win.
Also, a number of linen Tippis in Cinnamon and the purple shade, $50 before the 30%. I passed because the fit was weird on me for whatever reason.
Deleteemilybethzzz, did you think the toothpicks ran a full size smaller? I've been wanting a pair, but I'm not sure if I should go with the size I normally wear in matchsticks and designer jeans. The toothpicks do look tight!
DeleteI think they're supposed to be a little snug, but I would definitely order a size up-- I take a 6 in skirts and shorts, and the size chart online says that converts to a 28 in pants, but man, those suckers were unattractively tight! HTH =)
DeleteThanks! This is one of those many times that I really wish I lived anywhere near a B&M so that I could try things on! :)
DeleteI stopped in quickly this morning and what to my wondering eyes should appear? The Chambray top I've had my eye on for months! Just one, a catalog return and yes, my size. The JC angels were smiling on me. ;) I also got the ring around eyelet top. This 30% off sale is absolutely killing me! Also, I have the Tessa in chili but am debating buying the white as well. Does anyone have a store with lots of white in stock? Any opinions on whether or not two of the same top is overkill?
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend and happy shopping!
Sara, I sure hope not. I have the Tessa in chili, white and the safari cat print. So easy to wear & machine washable.
DeleteHey all. Long shot, but I am looking for a sequin anchor tank in a size M a jardin maxiskirt size 4 or 6 in morning aqua. If someone could put them on hold and/or email sallen07@gmail.com it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteHi, I just got back from the Prince St store in NYC and saw some sequin anchor tanks - didn't see what size but worth a try!
DeleteOabrook IL has a lot of pencil skirts. Floral - several 6s and a couple of 2s; sovereign paisley in 00; a good range of sizes in black, maroon, gold & purple. I think the Bright Sun tie espadrilles were 49.99. One seersucker jacket in a 4. There were also a couple of sm. Tillary bags. 30% sale still in progress. Selected suiting is also 30% off.
ReplyDeleteI bought a safari Brompton mini hobo.
I'm in search of a No. 2 Pencil skirt in the Porcelain Paisley (sz 6),the black polka-dotted popover (sz 4 or 6), and the red/chili eyelet No. 2 (sz 6). Any leads are very much appreciated! autumnbrazer at gmail.com
ReplyDeleteParamus NJ store had Porcelain paisley in 6 last night.
DeleteThe Domain in Austin, TX had the porcelain paisley skirt in a 6 too as of last night.
DeleteI found the ram, giraffe, snail and brulees at the Madison Ave store. They had more when I left (they have no sale rack, FYI, but a lovely bathroom.)
ReplyDeleteUnknown-thanks so much! I'll call in the morning!
DeleteWas it the double brûlée or the single? Did you notice what colors? Thanks again!
Sorry that my name shows up as Unknown. I know it looks creepy! I was on a phone when I posted this, and couldn't change my name for some Google related reason (and I'll just stick to it now for the sake of consistency).
DeleteThey had the green single brule (I bought one). They had the double brule in that bright orange color. They definitely had more than one ram bracelet, and more than one giraffe bracelet--unless the SAs all bought them. You should also ask about the snail bracelet if you want one--it's only $15.
I also have been meaning to write how much I love this blog and appreciate it. I've been lurking here for quite some time. And then suddenly today, when I found these pieces of jewelry, I had to post what info I had.
But if it weren't for all of you, I would never have known the girafee, ram, etc were on sale. It was so odd to walk into the Madison Ave store (I just happened to be there--not my nabe) and ask "Where is the sale rack?" And they looked at me like I had six heads and told me there was no sale rack. At first they also tried to tell me the jewelry wasn't on sale. But I knew it was because of all of you.
So thanks, Gigi, for this amazing blog.
Hi Unknown! I was in NYC two weeks ago (three?) and went to several J C's there....the Columbus Circle didn't have a sale rack either! And they had dozens and dozens of items full price that are on sale in other stores AND online!
DeletePS Gigi has her own blog (Gigi's Gone Shopping)..This blog is administered by Alexis (Thank you Alexis!!!!) Gigi refers to this JCA blog as "the mothership" of all our blogs! We all do, actually! Welcome!
Thank you, Suzy for explaining J Crew Aficionada as The Mothership. Imo, J Crew is not The Mothership, nor are any other retailers. Alexis is the owner and amazing mastermind behind this blog. I've been commenting quite a bit here during the recent sales, along with some others (ahem straycat, lol), but this amazement is not me.
DeleteI agree that all the info we share is so helpful. And now I'm the proud owner of a giraffe bracelet that I totally didn't need, but love. Doh!
So embarrassed. I meant thank you Alexis (and of course everyone else)!
DeleteHi all - just a quick tip, the Columbus Circle sale rack does exist, it's just really hard to find. It's on the second floor and you have to go through the Crewcuts section to get to it. I was also at the Madison Ave store the other day and the sale rack was quite sizable. It's on the second floor across from the registers. Hope this helps!
DeleteWhoops - I just realized I confused Fifth Ave with Madison Ave. Sorry! The Madison Ave sale rack comes and goes. If it is there, it's toward the back of the store, behind the shoe area. In my opinion, they have the worst sale selection of all the NYC stores so I rarely go there.
DeleteIf anyone sees any "bargain" priced pencil skirs in size 10 could you please let me know. Thanks so much.
ReplyDeleteI just won the 2005 or 2006 summer beaded lighthouse skirt on ebay for $37.99. Very excited!
That is awesome!! I was so hoping a JCA woud get that!! I managed one last year and just got the Riveria for a very good price. What are you going to wear with it? And are you wearing it for everyday? I wear mostly dresses and skirts in the spring/summer but those beaded ones are a little fancy for even this sahm :). Congrats!!
DeleteMommy dearest thanks for the reply:-) I have a wedding anniversary and birthday coming up so the skirt will come in handy. I hope it isn't too fancy for this sahm either but I do work from home with clients a couple days per week. I have quite a collection of j crew favorite tanks that I will wear with it as well as a cardigan
DeletePerfect occasions! I'm still playing around with options, but I'll probably wait for an Occasion for mine. Haha, at this point going into the B&M qualifies as an Occasion
DeleteYes I feel the same way I haven't been to a store in almost a year and I was in a factory store in march. just going intot he store does qualify for an occasion haha
DeleteThe Crewlade is in full effect here. How am I going to justify to my husband this new J Crew thing on top of my Anthro habit?
ReplyDeleteStacy.....I emailed you about the sequin anchor top.
ReplyDeleteCan anyone tell me what the snail bracelet is? thanks!
ReplyDeleteHere's a link:
Deletehttp://www.jcrew.com/womens_category/jewelry/bracelets/PRDOVR~75387/75387.jsp
I just looked at my receipt. The bracelet comes out to around $10 with the additional 30% off.
OMG! I was at my local b&m on Wednesday and the picking was eh...but today I went back and there was SOOOO much but very little was in my size. :(
ReplyDeleteI did get the linen striped sweater, scarf with red flowers (many of the scarfs were on sale), a yellow & green bangle all for great prices. The bangles were $9.99. They had a bunch of other items that I loved but they went onsale and almost all gone! It was crazy because I was just there and many of the items are full-price online... a few items I remember are: the blue Ring-around eyelet top, Lace placket tee, Ribbon-stripe boatneck tee, Smocked top in dapple dot, Vintage cotton pocket tank in stripe, Anchor popover hoodie & more.
BTW: I would love to go to another one tomorrow...any recommendations from anyone living in the Los Angeles area? I'm thinking Pasadena because Santa Monica may just be TOO far!
DeleteHas anyone seen either the festival green linen schoolboy or striped linen boy shirt lately? Looking for size 10 but curious too see about any sizes....
ReplyDeleteWow, I haven't seen this much JCA craziness since the whole TJMaxx thing a few years ago!
ReplyDeleteMy B&M didn't have much besides tees and tanks. I'd like a red Tessa but calling stores can be such a gamble. It would be nice if the website and the stores had more congruent pricing, but of course I don't have to tell you all that. ;)
Columbus Circle had several smaller sizes (0/2/4) in the chili Tessa :)
DeleteIs the Stripe Tie Front Top on sale yet in store? TIA and happy Saturday!
ReplyDeleteI think I am way late to the party on this one, but has anyone noticed that stores still have pyramid stretch bracelets in coral? I will love you forever if you spot one and let me know...
ReplyDeleteUnknown.....thank you for the link to the bracelet!!!
ReplyDeleteVisited Cherry Creek, Colorado B&M. Still running the 30% off. Lots of shoes on sale, even the Sperry's that people have been mentioning. I did see a mint Tillary purse, $69.99. Lots of shorts, Weatherby boots, $19.00, All Soludos, $19., Marci Wedges all colors, $89.99, Maritime anchor, $34.99, Gold Mini Hobo, $158, Silk Foulard Cafe Capri, $99, Ella in Garden Floral, sizes 00, 0, 2, 4 and maybe some larger, sorry forgot price. All prices prior to 30% off. I got a pair of Cece studded ballet flats for $41.99 and Ring Around Eyelet for $27.99. Happy Shopping
ReplyDeleteI woke up late this morning and missed the linen schoolboy blazer in size 4, navy! Waah! Typical luck, the day I sleep in due to exhaustion (yesterday was spent walking for hours in near 40deg Celsius weather, while I was helping to shepherd daycare children around the city zoo). Huge thanks to Fabulous Florida Mommy and Cate for letting me know. Must continue stalking... (If anyone spots it, let me know!!)
ReplyDeleteHowever, some good news - after YEARS of hunting on Ebay, I finally got my hands on a pair of the red suede Lucia bow flats from winter 2007!
thanks everyone on your reviews of the Maritime striped blazer. I'm going to see if my store has it today....hopefully I can snag it in my size and cheap!
ReplyDeleteJust got off the phone with the Chestnut Hill, MA store (617-332-0122). The woman I spoke to was very very nice. I grilled her about their sale necklaces. I'm not sure if anyone is interested in these but here's what she mentioned.
ReplyDeleteThey have the double crystal brulee necklace in red and navy. I bought the navy (hope I don't regret this - never seen it in person!) and didn't think to ask if they have another but they might. It was $38.49 after the 30% off.
Other necklaces:
item 75492 - pearl and coral necklace $59.99 ($41.99 after 30%) 5 strands, 3 pearl 2 coral
item 90032 - bauble cascade necklace - $79.99 ($55.99 after 30%) - they have 2 of them right now
item 85042 - tessellate necklace in neon peach - I think this is $49.99 but don't quote me on that ($34.99 after 30%)
Hope this helps someone - and can anyone reassure me about the double crystal brulee in navy?
I love it but it's more cobalt blue than navy!
DeleteThank you so much for posting! I just called them and they were so nice and let me do a charge-send for the neon peach tesselate necklace. I had to pay $8.95 for shipping but considering I haven't seen it at my local stores and it appears to be sold out online, I am happy to get it. :)
Deleterenza
Thanks, mommydearest - unfortunately with my pp shape I'm looking for a 6. I called GS after seeing it on ajc's blog, but was told they sent their sale merch back.
ReplyDeleteOh, I hear you! CYE :)
DeleteIf anyone sees a ram necklace and could hold it for me) that would be sooo great! My stores never got them in. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteSo does anyone have a wrap up on the color(s) on sale in the
ReplyDeleteDouble brulee necklace
Single brulee necklace?
I'm sorry to keep posting but I'm scattered as to what colors of each are on sale. I know the turquoise and the yellow in the single brulee necklace are marked down, and the clear, navy, red in the double brulee, are these the only colors marked down? I'd love to find the single brulee in a color other than the turquoise/yellow. TIA!
Made a huge shoe score!! Snydey in poppy and azalea for $35.00 a pair, Lucca's in green $63.00 and the black suede Rory sandal for $56.00!! My store did not have them in stock but my PS ordered them at store price with 30% off :)
ReplyDeleteHow do the rorys fit? Did your store have them and do you mind sharing in store price? Thx!
DeleteYou found Sydneys in azalea? Do you mind me asking which store?!
Deletemini, how much were the sydneys before the 30% discount? what colors were on sale! Thanks!
DeleteI would love to know too!
DeleteGood morning, ladies. I have an OT question, though I see no place for Madewell discussion. Has seen a lingering pair of the film noir pumps in polka dot in 8 1/2? If you do, could you be so kind to put them on hold and/or email bankygirl (at) gmail (dot) com? I just discovered the brand and am kind of obsessed with their shoes. Or any shoe for that matter, no use covering up my obsession ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou can call one of the stores and ask to check for them. They can see other stores' inventories in their system. Then call directly and order them. I've done this on several occasions. Good luck!
DeleteHey y'all, a quick question - do they do PA on items bought if they go on further reduction before the 30% off? Thanks!
ReplyDeletePathos-
ReplyDeleteI did not try Rory's on I am taking a chance with the same size I wear in all my j crew sandals. Hopefully they fit! The in store price was $79.99-%30
Leah-
The ps ordered all the shoes on line with in store prices. Ask your ps or store if they can do that for you. The in store price was $49.99
AD MD and Obsessed w shopping-
The in store price was $49.99. I was only insterested in poppy and azalea so I am not sure if all colors are on sale.
mini, what store did you get the sydenys in azalea for 49.99? Obsessed w shopping says they are 89.99. Thanks!
DeleteThanks so much for the info, mini! :)
DeleteHas anyone seen the Raj Paisley perfect Shirt in store in a size 4 on sale? It's now 49.99 online in my cart but I'd love to find it at a B&M with the extra 30 going on! I struck out in my Chicago-area stores.
ReplyDeleteThanks and continued happy shopping ... I LOVE hearing about all the fantastic deals!
Hey everybody.....Just came back from checking out the Mothership. One store didn't have anything I wanted (all the cool jewelry was gone) then I hit the other store. Here I picked up the cream color anchor bracelet, the cheetah printed calf hair little magic wallet, a navy and orange paisley scarf and in the matching paisley a makeup bag (or could be a little purse) ALL for $63.66. I was wearing my sequin anchor top with modern red chino shorts, a denim jacket and navy leather tote and Tory flats and the sales gals in Francesca's, Talbots, Anthro and Banana Republic asked me where I got my top! I told them to hot foot it right over to the Crew before they were all gone! Hope you are all finding some goodies!
ReplyDeleteAny sign of the medallion paisley no. 2 skirt? I've spent the last two weekends trying to find one in my size, but I am starting to think it may be gone.
ReplyDeleteI'm really interested in the sydney sandals, but don't know what color to get! I'd really appreciate an opinion on the neon azalea and casablanca blue! I'm really concerned the neon azalea will be hard to style. Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteMy store just ordered the Sydney patent sandals for me in neon azalea, however they were 89.99 in store price minus 30% off, minus student discount. The SA said that was the in store price on this color.
ReplyDeleteAD MD
ReplyDeletePink Peonies wears them alot on her site if you need some ideas http://www.thepinkpeonies.com/
Obsessed
Maybe they are different prices at different stores? I looked at my order received and I was charged $35.00. Check what price is on your order email.
On my email it says 53.54 :( plus tax for a total of 56.75
DeleteShould I have the SA call your store?? I'm not sure how this works, he was nice enough to do the red phone order over the phone but that's still a little over 20 dollars difference. Any ideas??
DeleteAD MD....I bought the Martina wedge in Casablanca blue and I love the color. It's the navy blue that seems to be through the Crew collection of clothes and accessories. It matches the patent on the navy/cream stripe Havana bag....which I was very happy about. I haven't seen the neon azalea in person, so I can't comment on it.
ReplyDeleteObsessedWShopping.....Sorry REPLY doesn't work for me. I've only seen the turquoise and the yellow jumbo brulee on sale in my stores. I did see the flame orange color smaller brulee necklace on sale at Washington Square J. Crew this morning. You may want to call them...503-624-6386. I think it was $54.99? less 30%.
ReplyDeleteshowithm.........Did you try calling WWFIFY and asking a VPS to find you the Ram necklace? That's how I found mine. My stores didn't get it and so my nice VPS called around and found it for me. I don't think all stores got it. Good Luck!

ReplyDeleteI tried on the Maritime Striped Blazer today. Didn't like it at all. And still $80.00 (less 30%). Then I stopped at T. J. Maxx and found a very similiar knit cotton blazer. It's off white with wider navy stripes, a 3/4 sleeve which I love cause I always have a party of bracelets going on. LINED....yes, lined! Fitted and very cute.....$13.00. Yes, $13.00 on clearance. They also had red/white, black/white too. It looks adorable over my new anchor sequin top.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I tried the Maritime Striped Blazer too. I wanted to like it. And I just didn't. So, I completely see where you are coming from
DeleteSomething I've learned.....When checking out the jewelry on sale, remember to check the mannequins. I've found several items that the SA's have forgotten to remove, mark down and put in the sale area. And you have to look way up near the ceiling sometimes at those mannequins as well. Hoping this might help someone find a forgotten treasure!
ReplyDeleteAnyone know if the Sydney sandals in bronzed clay are on sale.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
Scored the ultra eyelet shell for $23 after discounts! There's also a size 10 at the Prince St NYC store if someone is looking.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone seen the #2 pencil skirt in double-serge cotton in succulent green, size 0, or the back-bow dress in white, also size 0?
ReplyDeleteI've tried calling a few stores, but no one seems to have either. Any help would be appreciated!
I know the Cherry Creek, Colorado store had a couple of the back bow dresses don't remember the sizes.
DeleteThanks! I'll try calling them.
DeleteIf you don't find the white back bow dress in size 0 in stores, I'm considering reselling mine (NWT) so email me if you're interested - kland07@gmail.com
DeleteApparently a few new colors of the Jackie cardigan have been marked down. I saw the moonlight yellow for $39.95 before 30%. If only the would mark down the byzantine blue already!
ReplyDeleteHTH!
You are all making me very envious. Has anyone seen the ultra eyelet shell or silk foulard capri in 00 in a store?
ReplyDeleteHey everyone! If you're looking for the ram bracelet, Princeton NJ store has one more, and there's no tax in NJ so someone snag it!
ReplyDeleteHow much is the sequin anchor tank?
If anyone sees the hillary dress in a blue size 4, please please let me know!!!
ReplyDeleteThere was a pair of Martina patent leather wedges in size 8.5 and 2 crystal brulee bracelets (one yellow, one red flame) at the Mission Viejo store today. Also saw lots of striped bow tops, neon tweed skirts, neon pink double serge cotton pencil skirts, a few raj paisley maxidresses, and a few floral garden ella dresses.
ReplyDeleteThe martina wedges were casablanca blue.
DeleteThanks mini! Is there anyway you could give me. The name of your store so I can get a price adjustment? I called cs and they can't adjust it unless they have the store :( if you don't care to email me id really appreciate it! Sydneyroark09@yahoo.com
ReplyDeletePlease forgive me if this is OT, but what do you all think would be the best way for me to get a really good in-store PS? I live at least two hours from the nearest brick and mortar, and I tried working with an online PS who wasn't very helpful at all about tracking down in-store sales/prices for me.
ReplyDeleteI finally thought I'd found a good one at a store in IL, but the PS who offered her services there hasn't answered any of my last three emails. I feel like I need someone who will get back to me quickly (and helpfully), especially during sales like these. Can anyone recommend a good in-store PS in the Midwest (or anywhere, for that matter, since I'm not close to anything)?
I feel at my wits' end for how to find a J. Crew PS who will actually help me! Thanks much!
To add on to my silk foulard capri and ultra eyelet top lust in size 00, would love to find the anchor sequin top in XXS. Please put on hold for me or email me at tiffanyrose57@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI'd be very much obliged!
