"Thanks!" to many of you, who let us know that J.Crew had a mini-update to its website today (click here to view online).
There are some new arrivals for men (click here) & women (click here). {wahoo!} It looks like Crewcuts (click here) has been updated, but not the J.Crew Collection (click here).
The latest catalog (click here to view) is still NOT available to view. They still show the Bali catalog. Not clear why they are not keeping up with this feature of the website.
I am off to check out the new arrivals myself...
Sale! "Thanks!" to Fabulous Florida Mommy (in this post) who let us know there is a nice update to the Summer Sale (click here to shop online), with over 1110+ items for Women and 330+ for Men. Definitely worth checking out!
Promotion! "Thanks!" to Louise @ cosmetic bee (in this post) who shared: "New promo for Canadians starting today - free shipping on all orders through Sunday July 1 (Canada Day!). Nice if you want to make a small order!" "Thanks!" to Desert Flower who shared the email from J.Crew below.
What items are you most excited about and why? Which items are you surprised (or not surprised) to see? Which items did you hope would be included? Were you expecting a bigger roll-out today? Also, did you receive the latest catalog? :)
As a Canadian J.Crew shopper it was nice to see them acknowledge us this Canada Day long wknd with free shipping. Anthro is offering free ship on $150+ orders too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the mention, Alexis! :) The promo-priced items were switched-up again this morning too, so I've updated both the women's and men's Promo-priced items lists.
ReplyDeleteWomen's list here.
Men's list here. :)
Thanks for the mention, Alexis! ...Now, if only they would give us an additional 30% off sale items - that would be a GREAT promo!
ReplyDeleteI will probably be sitting this one out unless the linen schoolboy pops back in size 4, navy (if anyone sees it in a store, let me know ASAP!!).
There's also free shipping on any order at Madewell until Tuesday July 3 (no code required), and lots of new additions to the sale section. I picked up a bracelet I'd been eying for months at almost half price :)
ReplyDeleteI see the Painter Boatnecks are out in new colors and stripes. How have these been holding up? Any problems with them developing holes?
ReplyDeleteOther than that, I don't see much that's new.
The painter tops I have never developed holes in them. I love them. The tissue tee and vintage cotton tees develop holes pretty quickly, and I only buy when I have-to-have a color.
DeleteI think they trickle out a few new items to keep us interested. ;). There were alot of new colors added to the Cashmere boyfriend cardigan item 49290 selection. Must see Neon Fuchsia!
Good to know. Thanks!
DeleteI love my striped painter top from last year. Will probably buy a few this year too. I like that they are long sleeve, not 3/4.
DeleteI should not be looking at shoes, but the Janey Patent Flats look promising. The Everly Suede pumps, IMHO, are stunning and classic, if not a bit retro (which I love). Both are "Made in Italy" per the web site. At some point I hope to try the flats.
ReplyDeleteOT:
ReplyDeleteI am a late convert to the cafe capri. Can anyone who loves the cafe capri offer any advice on the toothpick or matchstick jean? Does it fit similarly?
Anyone who loves the cafe capri have a favorite jean they would recommend (j crew or non-j crew)?
I just recently bought a pair of the toothpick jeans because I got a really good price. However, my favorite skinny jean is "the skinny" by 7 for all mankind! HTH
DeleteI like JC matchstick jeans. I take a 25 short in these and a petite 2 in the cafe capris. The cafe capris are a looser fit than the matchsticks in the waist, hip and thighs. HTH.
DeleteMy favorite jeans with a fit & crop similar to the Cafe Capri are my AG Tomboy Crop jeans.
DeleteThanks so much for your feedback & suggestions!
DeleteI was wondering if anyone knows if the color block maritime dress is on sale in stores? if so, how much is it? Thanks for the help!
ReplyDeleteIt was not, but you can ask for them to match the online price.
DeleteThe Telegram suede hobo looks a little Chloe-esque, no?
ReplyDeleteSlightly off topic, but do you think the necklaces from the Jcrew animal collection (the giraffe, seahorse, and frog) are seasonless or more of spring/summer only pieces? Really in love with their charm, but I do not want to spend so much money for pieces that are seasonally limited. Thanks for your input, ladies!
ReplyDeleteAlso, can anyone speak to their quality and irl appearance?
ReplyDeleteSome reviews here.
ReplyDeleteMeggers...I would wear those animal pieces all year! Of couse they go well with spring/summer items, but they would brighten up a woolcashmere sweater or a shirt or blouse in a fall color. The seahorse necklace has rusty colored beads, which I would wear all year for sure. I have the giraffe necklace with the tortoise chain and black/cream beads and I've worn it this summer and plan on wearing it with black/camel/grey in the winter. The frog in turquoise might be too summery, but the frog with the tortoise colored chain I would wear all year. Hope that gives you some ideas. I love my J. Crew jools and wear them alot!
ReplyDeletethanks a million, straycat! y heart was hoping for this answer!
DeleteOff topic slightly, but I love the picture posted of the Deck-stripe underwire tank swimsuit the model is wearing. Makes me want to get a one piece!
ReplyDeleteHas anyone bought this yet? Or what about the deck-strip two piece? How does it fit? So far my experiences with the swimsuits this year have been eh on the sizing...they have been all over the map, but love the prints.
I've only tried the stripe cotton underwire swimsuit, but my experience was that the underwire cups were way too small...I had to size up two sizes so it wasn't completely obscene. Which means that the bottom was a little baggier than I would prefer. This wouldn't be a problem in a two piece though since you can get separate sizes. HTH!
DeleteThank you! That is really helpful!

ReplyDeleteI thought the Everly suede pumps were cute. They look like the Manolo collab that was allegedly planned, or at least they look like the shoes worn in the lookbook that were suggested to be the Manolo collab that was allegedly planned.
ReplyDeleteI need to stay away from J.Crew shoes though, they may be made in Italy but they are still poorly constructed and painful IMO.
I stopped at the Mothership today while running errands. More markdowns today! I picked up the sequin anchor top $59.99 then extra 30% off. It was sort of on the radar, then when I saw it on sale, I really had to give it some consideration. I've never done sequins, but I love this nautical take on it. Also grabbed the giraffe enameled bracelet! Yah! $49.99 less 30%. Lots of shorts, shirts and blouses and No. 2 skirts still available. The cuffed linen trousers were on sale for $59.99 less 30%, but my size was gone. I gotta stay away for awhile!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing straycat! I've been stalking the giraffe bracelet for ages!
Deletestraycat, at which store was the giraffe bangle such a steal? i really am hoping to get this piece, but the nearest store is an hour away. perhaps if I tell them the name of the store, they'll match the price!

DeleteHi Meggers....It has been marked down so all stores should have it on sale. Here is the number of the store I bought it at 503-598-7414. If they don't have it, call some stores close to you. I'm in Oregon. Good Luck!!
ReplyDeleteAD MD....Oh I know...I've admired that bracelet for a long time. I bought the giraffe necklace when it hit sale too. My store also had some enameled bangles and a few link type bracelets that I don't see on the website. I asked if the seahorse necklace hit sale, but it hasn't yet. My nice manager is going to pull it for me when it hits.
ReplyDeleteJust a comment about the Safari cat capris. I picked these up real cheap and wore them today for the first time. I expected them to bag out and get really wrinkly....nope! I was pleasantly surprised at how crisp and stuctured they remained even though they are a linen fabric. They look great all day! Don't be hestitant to check these pants out. I'm really pleased with them.
ReplyDeleteNice! What a deal on them this week! I can't wait for mine.
