Happy New Year J.Crew Aficionadas & Aficionados!

I want to take a moment to wish everyone a wonderful new year! {yey!} I look forward to celebrating the up-coming 2011 J.Crew collections with you all. :)

As usual, this post is to find out what everyone is planning to wear tonight. I know I have mentioned this before, but I also really enjoy these posts. I find it interesting to see how other Aficionadas and Aficionados style certain pieces, providing me wonderful ideas for future outfits. :) So for this post, what we are planning to wear during New Years Eve and/or New Years Day? :)

As for me, I am going with some sparkle. I am going to wear a pair of J.Crew's Vintage Slim Jeans with the Drapey Sequin Tee (Item 33541; $79.50) in Dark Pewter and a pair of J.Crew's black ballet flats. As for accessories, I am going with the lovely Crystal Winged Bracelet (Item 35092; $85.00) and the luxurious Buena Notte Bag (Item 29477; $188.00).

J.Crew Updates Website with New Arrivals!

"Thanks!" to many of you, including Christy & Fabulous Florida Mommy (in this post), who let us know that J.Crew had an update to its website today (click here to view online).

There are some new arrivals for men (click here) & women (click here). {wahoo!} It looks like Crewcuts (click here) got updated, but the J.Crew Collection (click here) appears to be the same from last time (click here for reference).

The latest January catalog (click here to view) is not yet available to view for some of us. Hopefully it will be up soon. :)

As for the new arrivals...

Loving. I have enough of J.Crew's jewelry that I don't need anymore. Yet, they keep coming out with another piece I have to have. This time it's the Crystal Venus Flytrap Necklace (Item 39566; $85.00). The name is awesome and the style is stunning! It's one of those pieces that will work beautifully with any outfit- from a tee shirt and a pair of jeans to a little black dress and heels.

Intrigued. There is something about the Hoodie Fairground Cardigan (Item 34007; $128.00) that needs to be seen in person. The button-zipper cardigan can play out either way (either a unique, fresh take or too funky to work). The Nylon Schoolboy Blazer (Item 33364; $148.00) has the right shape, but not sure about the fabric. Yeah, it's weather resistant. But will I look too shiny in it?

Oh My! J.Crew's dresses tend to make me drool. Especially previous seasons (oh how I love the Library Doll Dress and the Vintage Violet Shirt Dress!) So it saddens me to see J.Crew's new arrivals include the Silk Serenade Colorblock Dress (Item 36068; $158.00) and the Cashmere Shift Dress (Item 37327; $1,000.00). I just don't understand how these shapeless dresses deserve those price tags.

Surprise! J.Crew Sends Their Love {& 2011 day planner}

"Thanks!" to so many of you, including Debby (in this post), as well as Jacquie & dinagideon, who shared the following delightful surprise.

J.Crew has delivered their Holiday present a bit early this year to some very lucky JCAs. In the mailbox, they found a gift of an orange 2011 Day Planner. (Incidentally, the image above is from last year's "Surprise! J.Crew Sends Their Love {& day planner}" post where J.Crew sent a similar planner, but in a pink version.)

J.Crew's Final Sale is Back {boo!}

The Grinch strikes at J.Crew! :( J.Crew has brought back their dreaded Final Sale (click here to shop online). On a bright note, the sale section did have quite an update today and there are lots of reduced prices.

J.Crew Sketches Kate Middleton's Wedding Dress

WWD recently asked thirty designers, including J.Crew, to dream-up their perfect wedding dress that Kate Middleton would wear for her wedding to Prince William.

I think it is quite pretty in its simple design! I love the long sleeves and backless silhouette.

J.Crew Going To Open Store In Boise Idaho!

J.Crew will open its first store in Boise this spring.

The purveyor of cool, casual, classic fashions for men, women and children has posted a job notice for a store manager on its website. A spokeswoman would confirm only that a store is coming, but not where it will be located, how big it will be or how many employees will be hired.

A likely location would be the Boise Towne Square mall. Mall officials did not return a phone call or email from the Statesman.

How exciting to have a new store opening in the Spring of 2011. I am sure they will send the local customers of the area a special promotion for its grand opening.

Another great promotion for online! :) Although it says in the fine print that it is *not* extended to brick & mortar (B&M) stores. :( Hopefully that will change to include the offer too.
