I want to take a moment to wish everyone a wonderful new year! {yey!} I look forward to celebrating the up-coming 2012 J.Crew collections with you all. :)

As usual, this post is to find out what everyone is planning to wear tonight. I know I have mentioned this before, but I also really enjoy these posts. I find it interesting to see how other Aficionadas and Aficionados style certain pieces, providing me wonderful ideas for future outfits. :) So for this post, what we are planning to wear during New Years Eve and/or New Years Day? :)

J.Crew Updates Website with New Arrivals!

"Thanks!" to many of you, who let us know that J.Crew had an update to its website today (click here to view online).

There are some new arrivals for men (click here) & women (click here). {wahoo!} It looks like Crewcuts (click here) has been updated, but not the J.Crew Collection (click here).

The latest catalog (click here to view) is now available to view. So happy to see that this feature is back, right where it belongs!

I am off to check out the new arrivals!

WHAT: Lyons kept it simple, yet chic in a white top, black leather pants and camel coat. Nude pumps with black tips and ankle straps tie the whole look together.
WHERE: The 6-foot tall designer was spotted at a dinner to celebrate CFDA-favorite Joseph Altuzarra at The Vinatta Project in New York on December 14.

Although I have no idea where her arms/hands are, Jenna looks good in this outfit. But I am curious about her coat- I can't tell if it is too big for her (is it a man's coat?) I am intrigued by her shoes too. I think I like them! :)

J.Crew Spotted in Marie Claire

The wording is very similar (if not identical) to the postcard size note they include in online purchases. As for the intention behind the note, it is actually sweet. It is a nice touch from our favorite retailer.

Although, to be completely honest... When I received this email, I was searching to see if they included a unique one-time code for free shipping, a percent-off, or something. I was hoping they still remembered me since I didn't get a 2012 day planner (refer to the "Surprise! J.Crew Sends Their Love {& 2012 day planner}" post). ;)

J.Crew Celebrates Boxing Day in Canada!

Sorry this news is {way} late today (I have been out at the mall doing some post-Holiday shopping!) A big "thanks!" to Anya who let us know the following:

Happy Holidays! {celebrating w/J.Crew?}

First and foremost... Happy Holidays everyone! It's the time of year where we can spend time with our loved ones, enjoy fantastic meals, and share thoughtful gifts!

Per JCA tradition, this post is to find out what everyone is going to wear. I find it really interesting to see what other Aficionadas and Aficionados plan on wearing (and of course it gives me lots of wonderful ideas for future outfits). :) So for this post, what we are planning to wear for the Holidays? :)

As for me, I am still trying to figure out what to wear for Saturday and Sunday. I plan on reading these comments carefully so I can borrow some of your great outfits! :)

Honestly, I won't be buying anything on sale online for awhile. I have bought a lot of online purchases (thanks to all those fabulous promotions!) with merchandise that were mix- some things I absolutely love and some others returned because of issues of fit and quality. I didn't mind any of the issues because I knew I had the option to return and an excuse to go back to the stores to find some more goodies. Oh well! My wallet could use the break. ;)

Yes, yesterday's promotion was slightly better since it offered free shipping on any amount (which I took advantage of multiple times). But at least this one has a minimum of $100 (as oppose to $150 or $175).

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the FALL sale, or to see some new FALL/WINTER arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. Kate in Virginia shares: "I wanted to pass this info of a clearance sale onto all my jcrew aficionados... Unlike prior sales where shoppers were allowed to consider and try on all the treasures they have found, I've heard from several reliable warehouse employees that new rules are being implemented starting with this sale. Each shopper will only be allowed one bag (they're fragile & tear easily), it can't be put down, and no one can try on any clothes. The only time a buyer can review their purchases is at the checkout/tally table. ..."

n2shoppingjcrew confirms the previous news by sharing: "While shopping at J Crew, I found out about this upcoming sale that I wanted to pass along. A long time employee let me know that there are some new changes being implemented at the warehouse sales. It seems that you are only going to be allowed one bag per person. This bag must be carried at all times, (It cannot be put down), and you will not be allowed to try on any clothes or shoes. In addition, you will not be allowed to look through your items until you reach the sorting station/registers. I find this new procedure very frustrating. These sales are so popular, you basically have to grab any item that catches your attention as soon as you see it and put it in your bag, otherwise it is instantly grabbed by someone else. Although there are numerous amazing items at the sales, there are just as many items that are defective..."

I am not really sure why J.Crew changed their policy on how to shop at their warehouse sales. (It seems like they made it more difficult to purchase items.) I can only imagine how chaotic this event will be with the new shopping changes. {yikes!} With that said, I would totally go {in a heartbeat} if it was remotely close to me. ;)
