Will you be taking advantage of the SHOPNOW promo? Are you loving the new promotion from J.Crew? Did you pick up an item or two? Please share! :)
I'm curious--I sent a return/exchange via mail five days ago. On the exchange were a pair of shoes that are now on sale. Soooo...
ReplyDeleteA. Will they honor the sale price when the exchange is processed even if I have the high price marked on the form?
B. If I call, will they put a pair aside so that they won't sell out before my exchange is processed?
C. Does anyone know how long an exchange sent through the mail takes to go through?
Also...
If I ordered a pair of sandals last week at sale price and they're due to arrive today, can I ask for the extra 30% off to be refunded?
Thanks in advance, ladies!
A: whatever price you paid is what they'll refund.
DeleteB: you can try. Or you might just want to reorder them just in case. And this way you know you'll get the sale price too.
C: for me, its taken about a week but that was factory, and I know some people gave had to deal with much longer time frames.
And again, you can try. Getting that extra 30% off from a week old order will be tricky and it all depends on who you talk to. I've had it applied to a two day old order that hadn't shipped. But it was like pulling teeth.
Hope that helps some. Can any other ladies help?
Thanks, Miss JR. I went ahead and reordered since the sale only lasts until Thurs. Although their policy states that they will do a price adjustment within 7 days, this only applies to full-priced items. They wouldn't apply the 30% off to my order since they were the Luccas were on sale when I ordered them. Thanks for your input!
DeleteThere are a couple of promo-priced items in my cart right now that I'm considering, but I may wait to see if a sale item I've had my eye on pops back in my size before purchasing (since the free shipping minimum is still high).
ReplyDeleteAlso, I've updated the Women's and Men's Promo-priced items list again this morning.
*Women's list here.
*Men's list here. :)
Not excited. Online prices are so much higher than in stores. Until they are comparable I refuse to buy.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same not really excited because the prices are still high.
DeleteAgree. The only things I want are still FP. I have enough swimsuits and shorts to last me the next 100 years. My closet(s) give me a reality check every day, lol.
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteAgree that since in store prices are lower, that would be the way to go. It's crazy that J Crew does this because it would make more sense for clearing inventory and keeping customers loyal to stop playing pricing games. Everyone here likes J Crew, but I know a ton of people who are so turned off by the pricing games and lack of quality control that they have been shopping elsewhere. Boden has been consistently turning out good quality clothing, their customer service rocks and once something is marked down, it isn't marked up again!! It's sad that J Crew is now my sale only place to buy. I like some of the colors and styles, but I don't trust the quality, and don't like the pricing games and customer service enough to buy full price. I do love this JCA community though!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sitting this one out. I'll probably check for popbacks throughout the sale, but overall I'm not impressed with the offerings (anything I actually like is sold out in my size) or the prices.
ReplyDeleteAlso sittting this one out - and am a little relieved about that!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy becuase I ordered three skirts that were either not in my stores or online only. One I just got but I was able to snag it last night on additional 30% off before it sold out. So I'll return the higher priced one. Plus I ordered shoes, which my stores don't carry. Also ordered a tee that I've never seen my stores and a factory sweater, since the factory store is 30 miles away, I don't get there very often. So it worked well for me!
ReplyDeleteHas anybody else noticed they jacked up the factory merchandise prices ! I placed an order right at 12 am before they got the chance to do so and was able to get the lower price minus code so cheap jcrew!
ReplyDeleteYES, I noticed and they do this all the time on factory and non-factory items. I had a long day driving yesterday, and forgot about re-ordering them last night. Sometimes sleep is sweeter than getting the deal; didn't stay up late & slept-in this a.m. In store deals are so much better anyway it makes it hard to take the web prices seriously (except for those have-to-have items).
DeleteYes! I had a bunch of Factory dresses in my cart at midnight and decided to wait for the morning pop backs before ordering (can't resist free shipping). Everything went up by about $10-$15 on the Factory side!
DeleteYes, they did. The skirt I wanted was $59.50 last night and now it's $74.50.
DeleteSame here! I waited forever for this promo to order a few factory items and they jacked up the prices. Now there is no way that I am going to order, unless they lowe the minimum shipping.
DeleteNeed a couple of watch bands, but refuse to pay more to ship them than the price of the two bands together, so...
ReplyDeleteI'm disappointed that if your pre-promo total is over $175, shipping still gets added if you drop below that with SHOPNOW. Ah, well. It was time for a shopping diet for me, anyway :)
Wendy - I think the magic number is $250 subtotal of sale merch, apply the promo and then you are at $175 for free shipping. They haven't been adding free shipping on $150 or more like they used to on these sale promos. :(
Deletejust throw in some swimwear to the order ;)
Deletemy Store does not carry many dress pants - I have been dying to try the Hutton pants in wool crepe. Since this is not final sale - it's worth an order. Store also never carried the Waverly chinos in the Casablanca blue - so these are a deal for me too.
ReplyDeleteThe in store sale prices are so much better. However, the anchor aweigh blouse that I have my eyes set on didn't have my size at the store. So had to grab that online. But other than that, I didn't see a whole lot that catch my eye.
ReplyDeleteEven if I was able to get to a store, just the fact that others can buy the same pencil skirt for $20-$30 in a store (somewhere) and the online one is $89-30% is just crazy IMO. Turns me off to shopping at J.Crew all together.
ReplyDeleteOf course, the one thing I wanted (the boy shirt in Indian voile in the turqoise) is now gone. Has anyone seen those in stores recently?
ReplyDeleteAlso, if you want free shipping, just throw a bathing suit in your order. You'll get free shipping on the whole order.
How sheer are the Indian Voike? Thx:>
DeletePretty sheer. If I look really closely I can see the outline of undergarments under the navy shirt, but it's not so sheer that I've ever worn an extra layer under it.
DeleteAlso, has anyone tried the audra sandals in patent leather? Are they comfortable?
ReplyDeleteI picked up a pair in my b&m last week b/c they were $44 -30%. I have not worn them yet, but they felt pretty comfortable in try on mode. I know that doesn't really give a true idea of how they'll be in the real world. My ps did tell me hers are very comfy.
DeleteComfortable, but if you have a high arch, be careful not to buckle the strap too tightly. Mine rubbed a sore on the top of my foot. But they were really comfortable otherwise. It took a longer wearing for me to get the blister.
DeleteI am excited to get the neon azalea sydney patent sandals-- they will go with so many things in my closet!!
ReplyDeleteLaurenPHD....I ordered a pair of the audra sandals in patent and I like them. They are comfortable and really chic looking. I ordered my normal size and they fit well. I just ordered another pair in light blade on sale. Yah!
ReplyDeleteI picked up a few goodies -- the gondola stripe coat, the foulard cafe capri in petite (since petite sizes are never offered in my stores), the chambray schoolboy blazer, and the brulee necklaces, which I don't think are even on sale in stores. I probably would not have gotten any of these if it was final sale. I also got lucky with a winter popback of a thinsulate plaza coat in radio red in my size for $70 -- just hard to pass that up even though I don't need it... Will power is unfortunately not one of my strengths -- Genny I wish I could have some of your anti-JC sentiment!!
ReplyDeleteHi I missed the coat and wanted it so bad, if you want to re sell it I'll buy it from you
DeleteHas anyone emailed Mickey and asked about their online vs. in-store price differences? I'd be curious about his response. (Although apparently not curious enough to do it myself :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, does anyone know if stores are still doing 30% off? The extra % often seems to linger around in retail....
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Yes, I did, a while back. I was told the stores have limited storage space, therefore they have to clear the floor faster for the new stock arriving every month. The warehouse is huge, therefore capable of storing more stock.
DeleteAnd by accident I replied to the wrong comment. It was intended for the one above asking about the in-store and online price differences.
DeleteI picked up two bathing suits, since I can't get them in stores. The total only came to $110, but I didn't get charged shipping. That was a nice surprise!
ReplyDeleteKristin, There is free shipping and free returns on swimsuits. This has been going on the whole month of June and continues through Aug.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know if the 30 percent off still applies in store as well? The prices in store are so much better than online.
ReplyDeleteBoston Brit,
ReplyDelete(the reply button does not work for me:( ) Anyway, if anyone knows mickey's email I will send one and inquire.
Audreys, Sounds like you got some great buys. I am happy for you!
The reply button only works for me in FireFox & Safari...it doesn't work in IE
DeleteI got a few jackie pullovers for $38 a pop, a valentina heel, and a wool cafe capri that is unavailable until October! The jackies are pricy but I wanted to check the fit. I am a petite and the tippi in XXS leaves tons of material around my midsection. Wish they offered petite sweaters. Can't wear any of their pullovers.
ReplyDeleteFor the first time IN YEARS I did not use my JCrew card. I am ticked off that they sent giftcards to loads of people but not me. What is the point of using the card if people who DON'T use their cards get rewards. So I am boycotting my card until I get a giftcard. Will report back if it works!
Boston Brit, the in-store vs. online price discrepancy was the topic of some discussion a few years ago when this blog was new. (Also, it was the comment of a lot of bizarre comments/flaming that referred to the corporation's duty to the shareholders . . . ? Hmm.) Price differentials are quite a bugbear for me personally because I'm not within a convenient drive to the store. In response to my inquiry, I did receive a call from two women fairly high up in the company whose names are escaping me now. According to them, stores have different inventory and storage issues, and managers have a great deal of discretion to reduce items that aren't selling at their particular store. I appreciated the call, but personally I disagree with this approach. IMO customers expect a seamless relationship between online and B&M aspects of the same reteailer.
ReplyDeleteI compeltely agree with Original Genny's frustration. It's no fun for me as an on-line shopper to see the haul posts on blogs or PV where the in-store shoppers have snagged items at less than one-third of the online price. (That said, on a couple of instances I have been able to get online to match an in-store price.)
As for this sale, I am shopped out and am saving the rest of my pennies for the Nordstrom sale next month.
I am trying a bathing suit for the first time from JC. Can any of the ladies at the bigger end of the sizing spectrum tell me how they work? Do they fit well/look good if you're a little bigger? TIA. Also, I grabbed the Viv flats in patent leopard pattern. I'm sure they're probably cheaper in store, but I just don't have the energy to go to the store and ask them to do a search.
ReplyDeleteI wear 12-14 in J.crew and I order size 10 swimsuits for the one pieces and medium to large in two pieces. They run very big.
DeleteJRuby, I'm a sz 10, and recently ordered one of the bandeau suits. It fit great and was flattering, but I needed more bust support, and a suit longer in the torso (I'm very tall). That may sound contradictory, but unless you are large chested or very tall, I would give them a shot.
DeleteFor comparison, for clothing I am a M/L/10 in tops (36D) and wear a size 12 in pants/skirts/bottoms and LOVE all of my swimsuits from JCrew. I have a mix of two pieces/tank suits depending on my level of self confidence but I would say I do find the suits to run large...I have the ruched bandeau tank from last year in the casbah print and the lomellina one shoulder tank in a 10 and they are perfect. I am a full D cup and I found last year's D-cup suits to be ridiculously large, I tried them first last year as in prior years had always needed the D-cup tops and I found them to be huge last year. Any of the tanks with the ruching I have found to be very flattering on my hourglass figure. For the two pieces, I tend to wear a L on the bottom and M on top in most cases.
DeleteSorry to ramble...hope this helps!
Uh oh, I think I may have ordered too large then. I ordered XL for the bottom and L for the top, and I'm 10/12 in JC sizing and mostly L on tops. Shoot. Oh well, we shall see.... Thanks for the sizing advice, ladies!
DeleteMy ps told me the swimsuit sizing has changed since last year and everything is running true to size that is what I found to be correct as well
DeleteThx Original Genny. I always subscribe to the theory to err on the side of ordering a little larger than smaller when it comes to swim suits. I will definitely report on how they fit when they arrive. The prices are really good w/the 30 off.
DeleteDoes anyone know if the stores are doing 30% off this week too?
ReplyDeleteWent to check out the sale price of a bag I bought a few days ago for $69 and it's been marked back up to $108 so even after the coupon, it still costs more!!
ReplyDeletePretty ridiculous how they bump prices back up for a "sale".
(glad I bought if before the "sale")
Was super excited - got great staples like the Tippi sweater in linen, the pop art polka dot skirt (which i had been WAITING to go on sale -paid $56 and it was $118 retail??!!) and the mona pumps in dusty clay (staple item imo). Paid half of the retail price for all these items, and THAT is a good feeling.
ReplyDeleteCan't believe of the three attache dresses, the one I want, the seersucker, is not on sale yet.
ReplyDeleteI bit, but really only because I was able to score the Jardin skirt in poppy on a popback.
ReplyDeleteWhile the online vs. in-store price discrepancies ARE frustrating, as a mostly-online shopper whose nearest b&m is 2 hours away, I'd rather buy online and have the extended return time. There's always the *slim* chance of a PA on the in-store price if I wanted to pursue it. At the same time, it would be nice to not be penalized for being a mostly online shopper!
I would do a reply in the right thread, but in my crazy internet world, I can only comment on this blog on IE, if I try commenting on Firefox, my comment disappears. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteThose factory rubber prices bug the cr@p out of me. I have been watching the factory chambray shirtdress and maryanne leather wedges since April and at one point the dress was down to 40 dollars and the shoes were 30. Every time there is a 30% off promo, though, those two items go back up to near normal or normal prices. J. Crew would be smart to pick A MIDDLE price and keep it there. The items at the "real" side of J. Crew for sure has some rubber in the pricing, but the Factory side is way way way worse and I am now going to wait until they go to clearance and get them then.
BTW, the chambray shirt dress and those wedges are in stock fully, with no worries about selling out. I think the J. Crew factory management is STUPID for doing this pricing game.
I guess I could have saved this comment for the vent side of things, but I am really annoyed today. :)
All swimsuits come with free shipping until August 30. :]
Delete@ dinagideon:
ReplyDeletei tried the factory chambray shirtdress (item 29509)... runs huge (i'm a size 4 and the XS was still way too big), material is cheap and thing and totally not worth any price in my opinion. probably why it's still hanging around for so long.
I was just holding out for one item, the Pop Art Skirt. I am happy that I got a great price on it!!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if this skirt sits high on the waist. I like pencil skirts that sit more on the hips but this says " waist. ". Any feed back?
DeleteThe online prices are on average 20-30 bucks higher than in-store prices even with 30% off (which is still going on in stores btw). So I'd rather call my PS, pay shipping if need be and still save significant amounts. On certain items, the price difference is absurd. When we ALL can easily find out about this discrepancy (thanks to the mothership and gigi!), it's foolish of J Crew to continue this ridiculous policy. It creates SO much hassle and confusion, not to mention, it's utterly unfair to those we don't live near stores. My nearest "good selection" store is 45 minute drive away!
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone have a review of the Inez mid-heel sandals and the flat sandals? Do they run TTS or narrow? I am tempted to order them but the strap that goes over the top of the foot tends to give me problems. I tried the Lilibeth flat sandals and the strap going over the top of the foot was just too narrow for comfortable walking - it really cut into the bone at the base of my big toe.
ReplyDeleteI am sad to report that I made a purchase Friday, and again today. Well, I am happy, but my wallet, not so much.
ReplyDeleteFriday, I purchased a black Factory Thandie Sweater at $29 and a pair of Cece leather ballet flats, black also.
Today, I pulled the trigger on a Perfect Fit Mixed Tape Cardigan in Spice that was $29 after the 30% off promo, and ordered it again full price in gray and navy. The gray is backordered until the end of June...I may cancel it. I also ordered a Stretch Perfect Shirt in white with 3/4 length sleeves, full price and on backorder...this will probably be cancelled too. Ugh. They really need to offer free shipping with these promos!
Hi ladies-
ReplyDeleteAnyone have a review of the pearl necklace that is currently in the sale section?
Also, has anyone seen the Drakes London scarves on sale in stores?
Thanks!!
There are some at the SF flagship store in the Bloomingdale's mall.
DeleteHi Wendy- do you know if they were marked down?
DeleteThanks
ccuran136, I don't have the pearl necklace currently in the sale section but I do have the triple strand twisted pearl bracelet, which has the silver clasp and I assume is made of the same quality pearls. I am really happy with the bracelet - the pearls have a really nice lustre and the silver clasp looks very elegant. With the additional 30% off, the necklace looks like an excellent purchase.
ReplyDeletemillard.drexler@jcrew.com
ReplyDelete(he is very responsive)
While Hexigon was wonderful (as always) to report what the JC senior execs had to say about the price discrepancies between the stores and the website, and I find it odd that other retailers don't seem to have this problem. Or if they do, it is sporadic not pervasive.
I buy at the stores and the web site about equally. Obviously, the selection online is much bigger, hence my order this morning for 7 items. But the prices lure me into the stores!
LOL, I really *want* to place an order, but my closet is already overstuffed and I can't think of a single thing I need.
ReplyDeleteLinks to irl pics and the most recent online cuts at the top of this post.
ReplyDeleteSchoolboy blazer in herringbone in Casablanca blue, aged driftwood, and neon azalea marked down to 79.99 in store!
Deletepathos and anyone wondering about the pop art pencil skirt. It fits like the normal pencil skirts, maybe a little higher on the waist (like the sovereign paisley skirt) BUT I returned it because it appears to be white dots on navy. It's actually beige dots on very dark (almost black) navy. I tried matching it with tops with white and I just didn't like how it looked. The dots just don't "pop" enough for me.
ReplyDeleteI just ordered this with my rewards card. Does anyone know -- if I don't like it and want to return it, will they credit me the rewards $ or is it gone forever?
DeleteHi Louise, I just bought the Inez patent midheels in the pink. I took my usual JC size. They run a little narrow through the top of the foot, but I have wide feet. I didn't have any issue with painful rubbing but have only worn them in the house. The pink is the perfect shade. The Sydneys in the neon pink were just that, neon, and too bright. I would say try them before they go on final sale. That way you can always return them. I haven't tried this years Lilibeth or the Inez in the sandal.
ReplyDeleteThanks Shekster! Hopefully I won't have to size up. I fall right between 7.5 and 8 and it's really hard to guess from the photo which way I should go. I ordered the copper colour but I am really tempted by the pink colour as well.
DeleteI bit and bought the valentina slingbacks in the melon, which I am hopeful will take me into early fall. I also bought the voile shirt in the neon rose, as I want to recreate the looks with the golden burgundy pencil skirt.
ReplyDeleteI have tons of summer clothes and will now only buy for what can transition to fall...
I'm thinking of getting the Arabelle gown as my wedding dress; the classic ivory color is marked down to $450 + 30%, but I've never seen one IRL. Can anyone tell me if it just has one layer for the lining?
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know if there is supposed to be free shipping on the Crewcuts items for J Crew Factory? I know there is on regular Crewcuts, but when I put factory Crewcuts items in my cart it charges me the shipping (when the rest of the items in the cart are all retail crewcuts). TIA!
ReplyDeleteI'm sooo upset at JCrew and need to vent! I was super excited to see the discount. Just yesterday I had saved some items in my cart and when I accessed them today, the prices had increased drastically. Can JCrew explain why they increased the factory Factory ribbon-waist dress in lightweight linen from $88 to $118 in less than 24 hours? Also, can they explain why they increased the Factory cotton pencil skirt from $49 to $70 too? Are you kidding me. We're not stupid JCrew!!!! This is just a warning for those who think they're getting a sale when clearly they just increased the prices thinking that consumers will not notice. J.Crew are big big LIARS!!
ReplyDeleteHi NP, they've done this in the past, so I went ahead and placed a factory order over the weekend when they were advertising an "up to 40% off" blah blah blah sale. I figured they would bring the prices back up when the 30% off promo took effect. As lovingsewing mentioned, she was able to catch the sale price AND the 30% off just because she caught it shortly after midnight when the 30% off took effect and before they were able to adjust the factory prices. Annoying, but nothing new for JC, unfortunately...
DeleteFound an in store Edie in Italian calf hair but they insist it is FP and not the 299.99 I remember. Any suggestions? See any Edie's in your sale section?
ReplyDeleteCrewmum - Did you have them ring it up in the store? If they are going by the ticket and there is no markdown sticker, that's not good enough. There's a slew of merch at one of my stores that does not have the markdown prices on them. I cannot imagine how many sales they are missing out on. It's not like you're at Macys and can go to one of those scanner things and find out the price. I think a lot of ppl just assume the ticket is the correct price, including the sales staff. Which is why I ask for a price check if I believe it should be different or just want to see if the item is on sale. I hope you have someone ring it up and it shows up on sale or you take straycat's advice and are successful. Good luck :)
DeleteThank you ladies for your replies. Tried my PS & CS. Both stated that price matching was at the managers discretion. CS stated that if she wants to verify the price they would do that but they cannot make her honor the price. The bag does not show up in their inventory. My PS did find an Edie in flame available at a sale price. If I follow up with the manager directly I will let you know her response.
DeleteNot sure what happened but one of the factory items that I had in my cart, the factory long-sleeved lace-front tee, showed two different prices depending on the device I was logged in, it was ten dollars more expensive than yesterday this morning on my cell phone but on the computer it was the old pre-jacked up price. I checked out on the computer thinking that it would refresh at some point but I ended up paying the lower price. My phone cart still shows the highest price. Weird, but I will take it!
ReplyDeleteCrewmum.....um, that just doesn't sound right. The Italian calf hair Edie and the Attache were in the last 30% sale. I ordered the Attache, it sold out (after I ordered it), but a really nice "We will find it" woman found me one in the store called me and told me she would find me one, she did, and I got it for the sale price. I don't know what to tell you.....maybe call the 1-800 number and talk to a personal shopper and see if they can talk to the store for you. I did get the official "sorry it sold out" email, but after they found me one. My store manager's are always willing to match online prices....I don't understand why all the management isn't the same. I hope you are successfull!!!
ReplyDeleteI really appreciate how speedy my ordered was processed. I ordered right at 9pm last night and it has just been shipped. Should have it Thursday or Friday!
ReplyDeleteI picked up the talitha blouse and another colorblock cardigan, which are long gone from my b&m stores, as well as a couple pairs of the factory ballet flats before the price went up. I did miss out on the medallion paisley no. 2 pencil skirt.
ReplyDeleteI am thanking whoever reported in an earlier post about the sale going on beginning at 9 pm on the west coast.
ReplyDeleteLogged in last night at 10 pm my time, and there was the sale big as life. Grabbed a couple of items I had been hunting. I see that today the sweater is sold out and so I would have missed it.
Much appreciated ladies. Keep up the good work.
I also send a thank you ... as I did the same. Carolyn from Vancouver
DeleteYou're welcome Carolyn and J Crew Guy. It's long been a trick of mine! It's always good to grab your items right away as I've learned too many times that if you wait until morning, the items are usually gone.
DeleteCrewmum.....gigaofca is correct. One of my stores had the raj paisley skirt still at full price for a solid week into the 30% sale until they got clued in and put sale price stickers on the tags. They said they just forgot. So....I'd go after that bag! They are all sold out from the sales and that bag should be sold to you at the sale price. Don't feel hestitant to nicely talk to them about the fact that it was on sale. Or have a personal shopper help you. I've had really good customer service with several personal shopper people and they have gone the distance to help me and locate items and honor the sale prices.
ReplyDeleteWow u JCAs are right about rubber JC prices. Within a month the j crew factory exhibitor tote bounced between $78, $68, and now back up to $98. At some point I think it was even below $60. Crazy!
ReplyDeleteI got stuff at the store over the weekend for 30 percent off sale. In looking over the sale section online, I don't really see anything worthwhile, so I'm going to skip this one. I'm really beginning to resent shipping costs. West Elm is the J.Crew of the furniture world- they hardly ever offer free shipping, either.
ReplyDeleteThere are 2 styles is the vintage cotton vneck tee in stripe now on sale. (meant to type "of the" but I can't backspace. ).
ReplyDeletei got some things from the stores and the weird thing is how inconsistent the prices are for online versus the b&m prices (canadian)!
ReplyDeleteAgree on shipping. Very fast during this sale. Jcrew must have staffed up. I ordered yesterday morning and it was shipped out by the afternoon! It usually takes 2 days!
ReplyDeleteHere are some instore vs online pricing differences I found yesterday:
ReplyDeleteAudra patent sandals item 85665 in Bright Dahlia only:
-> in store $49.99 + 30% off = $34.99
-> online $78.00 + 30% off = $54.60
Whisper linen cardigan item 81129
-> in store $34.99 + 30% = $24.49
-> online $59.50 (promo doesn't apply)
Chevron tie belt item 79146
-> in store $9.99 + 30% = $6.99
-> online $19.99 + 30% = $13.99
There is more but this is all I have from my trip yesterday.
Also, Madewell at Towsontown was still running 40% off sale promo as of yesterday, so there is a huge gap between online vs store prices there, too.
For those who hate the shipping fees as much as I do...FYI, "swim" items (including the sale) gets you free shipping on the whole order and it's free returns unless it says final sale. I have been wondering if this is a glitch in the system but for now it is still working. I know it adds to the bill and can be a hassle but it was worth it (I am near several B&Ms to make the easy return). Good luck on the sale!
ReplyDeleteI called my local store and theyre still running the promo, and with the extra 15% off sale it's a much better deal. Does anyone have any reviews on the Sydney patent sandals?
ReplyDeleteI thought they fit true to size but they look/feel like a inexpensive shoe...kind of plasic like...not like quality patent leather shoes that would stand up over time . The colours are really pretty but I liked the neutral beige ones . HTH
DeleteDang, had the Talitha blouse in wreath petite 0 in my cart and it disappeared! Now they are out of inventory. If anyone sees it, can you email me? florapower9@gmail.com. THANKS!
ReplyDeleteKeep looking for it every morning it might pop back. I just got mine in Vintage Berryy and the color is unbievably gorgeous. I can highly recommend that color too.
DeleteI bit on this one, since it is not final sale. I picked up some basic tees for my husband and the cashmere two-toned sweatshirt for me. Anyone try the sweatshirt? I have been quite happy with the LS cashmere tee I bought last winter so I hope this new one is good too.
ReplyDeleteDid I miss something?? Two items showed up as Final Sale. A Linen Tippi and V Neck Cashmere. I do not see Final Sale listed anywhere.
ReplyDeleteNot happy!
Has anyone ever seen waverly chinos in casablanca blue in any B&M? I have been stalking those pant for months, have called countless stores and talked to several search specialists with no luck. I need a size 4 and would appreciate any help. Have a wonderful week and good luck with your treasure hunting!!
ReplyDeleteI'm taking a chance and ordering Factory Diamond Stitch Sundress.
ReplyDeleteMy suede persimmon Martina wedges arrived. I'm not the squeally type, but I think I squealed when I opened the box :X I wasn't sure what shade to expect since I had trouble finding IRL pics, and a few of the Ebay listings seemed like it might be a lighter orange. However, I'd say that the Jcrew website's photo is fairly accurate. Reminds me of the Blogspot icon actually. Definitely more orange than red, but it's a mix of both. A very rich, vibrant shade... LOVE it! And for fit, I sized up 1/2 size from my normal Jcrew size. (I also size up for Monas, if that helps.)
ReplyDeleteIf anyone visits their store today, please let me know if they have the anymore of the tessa colors marked down or the anchor beaded bracelet since they are both marked down online this morning :) thanks
ReplyDeleteMine did not. But they can call and see what they are priced at online and match it. Will be final sale in store though.
DeleteUmm, I'm late to this thread so I don't know if this has already been discussed, but when I placed an order just now (Provence Stripe Tunic, two Perfect Fit Long Sleeve Crewnecks - all sale items) with the SHOPNOW code, I got free shipping! Don't know if that's been going on throughout the length of this code or if it just happened. Also, several new items added to the sale, including the Ella Dress in Porcelain Paisley.
ReplyDeleteThere are also new promo-priced items this morning including the No. 2 pencil skirt in circle eyelet, Antique Paisley tunic, and several others. As life as a cat mentioned, some regular price and promo-priced items received markdowns, too. Same thing on the men's side. New promo-priced items and markdowns. I've updated both of the promo-priced lists this morning.

Just wanted to come back and answer my own question from earlier this week in case it helped anyone else. The Boston Copley store was still running the extra 30% off last night.
ReplyDeleteI returned a pencil skirt I'd ordered online ($69.99) for a smaller size and ended up with the same skirt in the correct size, Seville espadrilles in Modern Red and a basket bag and only paid $27 because of the online/in-store price difference and extra 30%. Incredible!
