JGIC Product Review: The Polo

A big "thanks!" to J.Crew Guy In Canada who is graciously reviewing Men's items from J.Crew with us. In this review, he tackles a classic staple in any guy's closet: the Polo.
As a kid growing up there was the one item that was cool; a polo with a popped collar showed who had style.  If you were really preppy you wore a sweater draped over your shoulders and tied around the neck.  I tried it once, but since my name wasn't Skippy or Biff I couldn't quite pull it off; but I did pop the collar.

J.Crew polo shirts are okay; but whether it be the logo or the time I grew up in or possibly the cache, Ralph Lauren and Rene Lacoste are the two I prefer.  There's just something very special in my mind about these two brands of polo shirts.  In all items of clothing I prefer to fly under the radar, no branding showing, no logos, no names to be seen.  But the polo shirt doesn't work that way for me.  I want the guy on horseback swinging his mallet or the smiling croc with it's teeth showing.  Don't mind Gant either with it's US emblem.  Poor J.Crew the only polos I've seen with logos are the factory ones, which maybe just as serviceable don't have that factor X the other guys do.

I have a few J.Crew polos, all well cut, great colours and good qulaity cotton.  But Ralph has something they don't.  His cotton has slightly more texture, least in the cotton pique I have.  The Polo polo also has longer tails, the ones in back slightly longer to really channel that preppy vibe.  And I love the Polo logo, especially when it's made of several colours and not just one.  And the fact that Lacoste is designed in France and many are still made there makes it even more special than one from a factory in China.  Perhaps it's my early years as a university student wanting the big name logo, but living on a student's budget that gives them their edge over their J.Crew cousins.  J.Crew certainly gets the colours right, but the Ralph and Lacoste ones have every so slightly larger collars and the very special logo on the front left side.

Now J.Crew does slub cotton with it's cool texture and look along with pique, lightweight and striped ones and I have one referred to as jaspe, but as good as they are I still want a crocodile on mine or a man on horse back.  Before you get all "he's just into labels" remember where you're reading this.  And for the record I do sort of like my labels.   I have one over-sized croc from Lacoste, but since the logo is black on a black polo it's subtle and not too in your face like the Big Pony from Ralph.

Where J.Crew does well is in fit, high arm holes, trim cuts and well placed buttons.  They wash well and stand up for years.  The slim cut works well without making me look like a sausage.  But both Ralph Lauren and Lacoste offer trim cuts.  And if you have a decent tailor they can slim down your regular polo for that custom fit.  Nothing better than going to the tailor and having an okay polo trimmed into a wow you just came from the gym one.

So like I said, J.Crew polos are fine, but I still would rather pay more and get the guy on the horse of the reptile on mine.
"Thanks!" again to J.Crew Guy In Canada for his take on J.Crew!

I find the debate relating to "logos on polos" an interesting one! I know the men in my life prefer to not have any logo showing, while I know some others who definitely wear them proudly.

As for J.Crew's polos... I own several from the Women's line (and purchase many for my DH, from the Men's line). They usually hold up very well and they fit great. They really are that exceptional piece of clothing that looks timeless.

What are your thoughts on this post? Do you have any men's polos from J.Crew? Are you a fan of the visible logo? Do you pop your polo's collar? If so, please share with us your take. :)

J.Crew Updates Website with New Arrivals!

 "Thanks!" to many of you, including JulieStyles (in this post), as well as GigiOfCa, JCrewGal, & Ruth (in this post), who let us know that J.Crew had an update to its website today (click here to view online).

There are some new arrivals for men (click here) & women (click here). {wahoo!} It looks like Crewcuts (click here) has been updated, as did the J.Crew Collection (click here).

The latest catalog (click here to view) is not yet available to view on J.Crew's website. However, it is being mailed out to customers this week. I was able to get mine the other day. (I know, so quick!) There is one page (page 6 to be exact) where the model is wearing a cardigan backwards. With the exception of that styling move, the catalog is pretty nice.

This time around, I am very excited about the new arrivals! There are a lot, and I do mean a lot, of things that I can't wait to check out. Since there are quite a few things I am crushing on, I will make a quick list:
  • Gilded Brocade (Item 39975; $150.00) — This top looks absolutely stunning thanks to its brocade design. It might be because I am use to J.Crew's crazy pricing, but this top looks more expensive then its price!
  • Translucent Stone Necklace (Item 59823; $95.00) — So simple, so perfect! The glass stones are the perfect size and color for Spring!
  • Collection Spring Modern Toggle Coat (Item 71161; $575.00) — I have enough Winter coats, but this one in Festive Red is making me reconsider if I should get another one. Absolutely beautiful!
  • Tartine Satchel in Colorblock (Item 53166; $325.00) — They have done it again! J.Crew creates gorgeous handbags and this is no exception. What an absolutely "must-have" bag with its perfectly-over-the-shoulder handle length. Plus it comes with a shoulder strap and interior snap-off wristlet pouch, bonus!
  • Darby Printed Loafers in Leopard (Item 42185; $168.00) — The slipper style paired up with the leopard print is amazing. What's that, there is an interior wedge for extra height? Swoon.
  • Mini Medallion Tie Neck (Item 31427; $198.00) — This dress looks like last year's Polka-Dot Tie-Neck Dress (Item 97186; $198.00). Consider me sold on it!
  • Schoolboy Blazer in Mixed Stripe (Item 39921; $198.00) — I love the striped jacket! Especially since they have a coordinated stripe pattern inside the jacket: clever!
  • Schoolboy Blazer in Liberty in June's Medow Print (Item 47924; $225.00) — The classic blazer now comes in the most lovely flower pattern from Liberty. Pretty!
J.Crew is also offering free shipping (no min!) with promo code FREESHIP. This offer expires Sunday, February 3, 2013.

Plus, J.Crew has a nice update to their Final Sale section online (click here) earlier this morning. Lots of merchandise for everyone (1060+ for Women and 440+ for Men). However, there is no "additional percent off sale" available anymore. Bummer!

What items are you most excited about and why? Which items are you surprised (or not surprised) to see? Which items did you hope would be included? Were you expecting a bigger roll-out? Also, did you receive the latest catalog? :)

J.Crew's Liberty Perfect Shirt in Glenjade {doppelganger spotted}

"Thanks!" to Sara & Fabulous Florida Mommy, who let us know about the following sighting: that the print on Old Navy's Lightweight Patterned Lawn Shirt in "White/Blue Floral" (385980; $24.94) looks strikingly similar to J.Crew's Liberty Perfect Shirt in Glenjade (item 25252; $150.00, now $115.00).

 *J.Crew

*Old Navy

When you put the images of the shirts side-by-side, the patterns look almost the same. (There is a slight variation when it comes to the flower's silhouette.) From the images, it is hard to tell which shirt comes from which store.

I have no doubt that the quality of the shirts are hugely different. (J.Crew's Perfect Shirts are tailored and extremely well-made.) Yet, the Old Navy version looks like a great, and much less expensive, alternative!

What are your thoughts on the pattern of the Old Navy versus J.Crew button-down? Do you own either version?

J.Crew's Gayle Spannaus Schools Us {the art of the collar}

Over the weekend, J.Crew sent an email from fashion director and head stylist Gayle Spannaus on how to work the collar of a button down shirt.

What makes the email interesting? It provides several {really good} fashion tips on updating the classic shirt style. This email offers advice that I am actually tempted to try!

First, Gayle insists on wearing the collar completely buttoned-up with the sleeves scrunched up. The only times I did that (buttoning up the shirt) is when it is really cold outside and I am freezing. But I have to admit that the look Gayle offers (reference the top image) is pretty fresh! It is something I am going to try tomorrow. (Plus, the timing is great. The weather is crazy cold where I am.)

Gayle also offers three ways to style the collar... The first tip is to "layer two or more bold necklaces over (not under) the shirt..." This looks so pretty in the catalogs and on the store mannequins at J.Crew. However, I never figure out how to do this in real life. I always worry about the necklaces damaging each other. Then, I end up choosing one statement necklace and calling it a day. So JCAs, if you know the art of making this work... please let me know your technique!

The second tip is "give your baubles a break and borrow a men's patterned pocket square instead for a new spin on a statement necklace". This is a really clever idea! Plus, it is super simple to create. Got to love that.

The third tip is "two collars are sometimes better than one", "let a pop-bright shade (or a soft stripe or Liberty print) peek out underneath a neutral chambray". I love the layered look presented here. It is eye-catching thanks to the pop of color from underneath. However, I do wonder how it will feel to wear two button down shirts together. Are the sizes of the shirts important (one shirt needs to be slightly bigger than the other)?

What are your thoughts on the tips shared in the email from J.Crew? Do you have any suggestions to make these tips work? What are your own style techniques when it comes to collars?

Be Wary of Potential Scammers in Great Weekly Exchanges!

A big "thank you!" to Cl who alerted me to a *potential* scammer in the Great Weekly Exchange (GWE) posts. A buyer contacted her initially through a vague email this week, and then insisted on paying with a USPS Money Order (refusing to use PayPal, a more reliable payment method.)

Both Cl and I, have no idea of the actual intentions of the potential buyer (and honestly, it all might be legit,) but money orders are not that secure in terms of payment for online goods. Even though it is an older article, the New York Times has a good piece on USPS Money Orders that is worth checking out: "U.S. postal-order scams surging". Also, check out "Scams targeting eBayers (the check is NOT in the email) : eBay Guides" which takes a look at a several types of common scams.

Moreover, for all buyers and sellers, if you feel something is not right... then stop the transaction before moving any further. Chances are the warning alarm going off in your head, is going off for a good reason. Avoid the headache and move onto another buyer/seller.

If you are new to the GWE posts, I strongly suggest checking out "GigiOfCa's "Tips for a successful sell/swap experience" post. It is a good starting point.

Lastly, any and all transactions are independent of this blog. I have no dealings or interactions with any of the potential communication, listings, or transactions. So it becomes extremely important for the community to help each other out when it comes to validating each other. What does that mean? Well, I have seen many of you already posting comments stating specific JCAs you have had a great transactions with. I think this is great! It helps build "reputations" for those JCAs when it comes to buying/selling. However, please feel free to post about the ones you have had terrible, as well as "meh" or "not so great", transactions with too. You may not be the only one who has that unfortunate experience, and you can help another JCA in terms of what to expect when dealing with that particular person. I know some of you hesitate doing this because you do not want to "call out" the other party, or be perceived as mean. But you are doing neither if you are just stating the facts of the situation. All you are doing is holding the other member accountable. (This might even open a dialogue to clear up any miscommunication, or provide a chance to make things right. That is a good thing!)

If you have anything to add to this conversation, please speak up and share! As Francis Bacon said, "knowledge is power". And as G.I. Joe would say, "Knowing is half the battle!"

J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs!}

This is the weekly "J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs}" post, to help each other share our reviews.

So if you have recently purchased, or stopped by a J.Crew store to try on an item (or two) from J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.

Also, this request is not just limited to clothes. Please feel free to discuss bags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, etc.

In particular, if you could mention a few of the noteworthy details like fit, size, fabric, and the like— that would be fantastic! Thanks in advance! :)

J.Crew Catalog + Dawson's Creek {memories!}

"Thanks!" to so many of you, including JulieFromChicago (in this post), as well as Robin & emmawasabi, who let us know about the following catalog flashback.

There is an original 1998 catalog from J.Crew, featuring the cast of Dawson's Creek, for sale on eBay (click here for original listing). The {ridiculous} price tag caught some attention over at the BuzzFeed (check out their "The Beautiful 1998 “Dawson's Creek” J. Crew Catalog" post for more photos!) and Refinery29 (check out their "American Dream: 1998 J.Crew Catalog Starring Dawson's Creek") post.

The cast (Joshua Jackson, James "Put Your Cheek in a Beek" Van Der Beek, Katie Holmes, and Michelle Williams) look so young in the photos!

I actually remember getting this catalog in the mail. I also remember really loving all the sweaters and tops on Katie. Looking back at the pictures now, I can't believe how dated some of the looks are (in particular, the jeans Dawson wears). J.Crew's style really has come a long way!

What are your thoughts on the catalog? Do you remember when J.Crew sent this catalog out? Do you like the looks? Are the styles dated?

Extra 40% Off Final Sale Online (ends tomorrow!)

J.Crew is still offering an additional 40% off Final Sale with promo code GET40. However, this offer expires tomorrow Tuesday, January 29, 2013.

Plus, J.Crew has a nice update to their Final Sale section online (click here) earlier this morning. Lots of merchandise for everyone (900+ for Women and 400+ for Men). However, things sold out fast! It was crazy how quickly things were jumping out of my shopping cart (I ended up empty!)

As many of you already have mentioned, J.Crew is offering an additional 50% off Final Sale items in most brick and mortar (B&M) stores. Word from fellow JCAs is that the sale items will be shipping back from stores to the warehouse in a week or two. So stores will be pretty empty in the sale section (although online should be stocked up in awhile).

Did you check out the Final Sale section today? Were you able to snag any amazing deals? If so, please share! :)

To get a head start, J.Crew is emailing the rewards cards (card with pin number) to customers. They are also still sending the actual card via snail mail.

Don't forget, the latest rewards card expires March 15, 2013. Knowing my JCAs, you won't have to worry about them expiring! ;)

JGIC Product Review: The Main Event

A big "thanks!" to J.Crew Guy In Canada who is graciously reviewing Men's items from J.Crew with us. In this review, he tackles J.Crew products and their rivals' counterparts (in particular, Banana Republic).
All of us, or at least most of us, are die hard, dyed in the wool, J.Crew addicts. But do any of us wear only J.Crew each and everyday? While 'crew makes up better than 70% of what I wear it's not the only thing I buy.

From my perspective the main rival to J.crew is BR. Yeah I can only imagine the sounds you're making now. Air sucked in through clenched teeth, shock and amazement. Settle down now, sure J.Crew tends to be slightly more stylish and fashion forward, but BR has to be doing something right considering they are roughly three times the size of J.Crew. So here's my take on some of similar items offered by both and how they stack up. And all of this is regarding in house items and none of the second party goods sold by either company.

Merino sweaters are a staple for me, v-neck, crew neck, full zip and even half zip. Both BR and 'crew make them. Who does it better? This one is close, but there are certain advantages that J.Crew has. BR uses too many blends with poly or arylic while calling them extra fine merino. BR also thinks I have arms like Grover. J.Crew wins here for 100% merino and getting the sleeve length right. Both do great colours. Crew has more form fitting cuts and is slightly more classic. BR does mix it up a little with some pattern and trim, but in the end round one goes to J.Crew.

Tailored dress pants are another item that I wear each and every week to work. J.Crew has the famous Ludlow and Bowery, both favorites of mine. BR has the Monogram, Heritage and tailored options. I do prefer what Frank and the team at J.crew produce, but BR is getting dangerously close to J.Crew with their current offereings. Factor in the almost constant state of sales and discounts being offered by BR J.Crew's edge is basically shot. The one area BR is off on is the inseem length. I regularly order pants longer from BR to compensate for the varying inseem length. Crew always fits me perfectly in leg length. But when I can get a pair of pants from BR that retail for $240 on sale for $99 then with an additional discount of 30 or 40% off the J.Crew advantage is gone considering they rarely see the sale rack. Ludlow is my favorite, but I can be bought and the prices from BR are getting me.

Ties, go with the dress pants, no contest, J.Crew all the way. Made in the U.S. and competitive prices make these a no-brainer. BR does make some nice ones, but made in China and varying widths and similar prices to J.Crew make this another win for Mickey and company.

Dress shirts, J.Crew has the washed favorite and it's various brothers while BR does both standard fit and a tailored one. J.Crew favours the button down and I have roughly twenty some to prove it. Fabrics are always cotton. They do some variety in pattern and fabric weight but nothing like BR. Cotton, cotton with stretch and then some. BR does a wide range of collars and cuffs and patterns. But there's something about J.Crew that I prefer. I do love me a shirt with stretch and BR makes some good ones, but J.Crew just seems to suit and fit me better. And then there's that corporate thing BR does. They just seem more business than J.Crew. I'd like to call this one a draw but according to my closet it's J.crew all the way.

So what about you? I know I've only covered the men's side so you need to dish on the women's items. Does J.Crew trump the offereings from BR? Who does it better?
"Thanks!" again to J.Crew Guy In Canada for his take on J.Crew!

Personally, I find it hard to substitute J.Crew's offerings with other retailers. Even though I might complain about the prices, or the quality at J.Crew, they really do offer the best items (in terms of style and fit) for me. I rarely purchase items from the Gap, BR, Anthropologie, Lands End Canvas, and Fossil now.

With all that said, if I had to pick a category where J.Crew needs to catch up... it would be perfect tees. I have tees from the Gap that can withstand washing after washing without holes or unraveling. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for J.Crew's tees. I have to treat them very carefully, which kind of defeats the point of tees (that they are casual and easy to care for).

What are your thoughts on this post? Do you have any pieces that you think another retailer does better? If so, please share with us your take. :)

Sneak Peek: More to Come this Spring {thanks Slastena!}

A big "thanks!" to Slastena (check out her "Sneak Peak-February 2012" post from her {amazing} About All and Nothing at All blog), who shared some sneak peeks of the upcoming catalog with us. {yey!} For more images, check out her post. Also, just click on any of the images to view them larger.
The latest collection from J.Crew is expected to arrive both online and in-stores next week.

I am loving the new mint color that the Janey Patent Flat will be coming in. (The second photo from the top.) Those shoes offer the perfect amount of heel for a flat-loving-wearer like myself. Plus, the gold heel is adorbs. I already own 5 different pairs of the Janey!
I did not notice that the Beaded Rose Necklace (item 14576; $128.00) has a matching bracelet, until I saw it in the top photo: the Beaded Rose Bracelet (item 14450; $88.00). I also did not realize how large the flowers were until I saw J.Crew's Tumblr "Lunch Break" post. (J.Crew shows off the necklace using three of their designers.)

What are your thoughts? Has your opinion on the upcoming line changed? Are you looking forward to the upcoming new arrivals?

NYT Names Lyons as the "Woman Who Dresses America"

"Thanks!" to so many of you, including sandripera (in this post), Ludo (in this post), The American Observer (in this post), Susan (in this post), Yvette, Amy, as well as awakeningmywardrobe, who shared the following article from the New York Times (click here to read in its entirety). There are three pages, so the following is just a portion:
Jenna Lyons, the Woman Who Dresses America
By David Colman
January 18, 2013

IT’S hard to miss Jenna Lyons. About nine feet tall and slim as a mink, often eccentrically dressed and wearing the boxy, geek-chic eyewear that has become the most identifiable signature in fashion since Anna Wintour’s bob, the 44-year-old executive creative director of J. Crew was an instantly recognizable presence at the many parties, runway shows and red carpet events she attended during 2012.

...“I know what it’s like not to feel beautiful,” she told the audience, which included hundreds of young girls invited by the magazine. “I remember that feeling.” ...

But with fame came a level of intrusiveness... Ms. Lyons concedes that she is not immune to the joys that fame has brought her. “Do I like the attention?” she said over drinks at Locanda Verde, around the corner from the TriBeCa loft where she lives with her 6-year-old son, Beckett. “Well, of course the narcissist in me will say ‘Yes.’ In all honesty, there is nothing more sweet and moving than when someone comes up to me and says: ‘You’re Jenna Lyons, aren’t you? I love J. Crew.’ That is so nice. I love that. It is amazing.” ...

DECEMBER was the 22nd anniversary of Jenna Lyons’s arrival at J. Crew — she has spent exactly half her life there. She started as an assistant designer in men’s wear, fresh out of Parsons, and over the next two decades worked her way to the top. Now, as the company’s president, she oversees every visible part of the company, from the clothes themselves to the look of the stores, the catalogs and the Web site. One might call her today’s answer to Tom Ford, who almost two decades ago undertook the reinvention of another swamped brand, Gucci. ...

 That is no understatement. Ms. Lyons does indeed come across as her unvarnished self, whether she is squealing with delight over a sparkly bit of jewelry or crisply reeling off the elements, ideas and merits of a new collection in a business meeting.

When it is suggested that she could be described as equal parts fashion insider and outsider, she scoffed.

“I am totally an outsider,” she said. “I am so not an insider, and that is O.K. I might feel like one in very particular moments. But I don’t feel the same pressure I did when I was young to be part of the club. I’m not one of the cool kids, and that is totally fine.”

THAT sensibility springs from sensitivity. Ms. Lyons grew up in Palos Verdes, Calif., on the coast south of Los Angeles. She was not Malibu Barbie. Her awkward height was compounded by a genetic disorder, incontinentia pigmenti, that scarred her skin and caused her hair to fall out in patches and her teeth to be malformed. (She has worn dentures ever since, she freely pointed out.)

Then, in her seventh grade home economics class, she learned how to sew, and sew she did. It worked better than she could have hoped. The popular girls liked what she made. Style gave her not only armor; it gave her cachet.

Though some people might be eager to leave such ugly-duckling baggage in the past, Ms. Lyons was able to integrate the experience into her look, her work and the philosophy behind J. Crew itself.

“It is not like you have to prescribe to a certain identity or idea to be a part of the brand,” she said, adding that one of the things she and Mr. Drexler bonded over early on was that they didn’t want to see any visible logos on any of the clothes. “I think that has more integrity than something that makes you feel like if you don’t look a certain way, you cannot be part of it. I don’t appreciate that. I grew up not feeling like part of the group, and I hate that feeling and hate making anyone feel that way.” ...

“When I was young and people judged me for things I had no control over, that was really hard, so I’m incredibly open to people doing whatever works for them,” she said. “It’s just as surprising to me as it probably is to everyone else. It certainly is strange to wake up, at 44, and look at the person next to you and think: ‘Oh! This wasn’t what I expected.’ But I don’t think love works that way, and I am O.K. with that.”

It is always a treat to read about J.Crew's Jenna Lyons in the paper! She really does come across as down-to-earth. It is clear she has worked hard to get where she is. Kudos to her!

Jenna Lyons on the Today Show {about the inauguration}

"Thanks!" to many of you, including Jessy (in this post), as well as maryeb, who let us know about the following news.

J.Crew's Jenna Lyons was spotted on the Today Show discussing the appearance of J.Crew at the Presidential Inauguration yesterday. Jump to minute 4:35 to see her interview. She talks about how J.Crew did not even know their items were selected until they saw it on t.v., with the rest of the country. There are also close ups of the J.Crew items.

As for Jenna Lyons, she did a great job despite a sore throat. Also, I can't tell if I love or hate her outfit. She pulls the look off very well, so it makes me like it. But I know I could never rock that outfit, so I am wondering...

What are your thoughts on the J.Crew pieces? Do you own any of them? What are your thoughts on the Jenna Lyon's outfit?

J.Crew Attends The Inauguration Again {wahoo!}

"Thank you!" to so many of you, including Catherine K & Luxette (in this post), as well as Shannon M., who let us know that J.Crew made an appearance at the Inauguration yesterday. The following is an article from Reuters about the debut (click here to read in its entirety):
Thom Browne, J. Crew among Michelle Obama's inaugural fashion picks
By Patricia Zengerle
January 21, 2013

The first lady wore a navy coat and dress by designer Thom Browne, inspired by the fabric of a man's silk tie.

The belt and gloves were from J.Crew, a mid-priced chain that is a fixture in U.S. shopping malls; the necklace and earrings were designed by Cathy Waterman. The boots were by Reed Krakoff, as was the short blue cardigan she wore to the celebratory lunch in the Capitol hosted by congressional leaders.

"At the end of the inaugural festivities, the outfit and accompanying accessories will go to the National Archives," the first lady's office said.

Dressing any first lady, especially Obama, a Harvard-trained lawyer known for her style, can be a huge boost for a fashion designer or retail chain.

...Interest in Michelle Obama's clothing has extended to the outfits worn by her two daughters. On Monday, the White House said Malia, 14, was wearing a J.Crew ensemble and Sasha, 11, wore a Kate Spade coat and dress. ...
Well, it was nice to see J.Crew's return (refer to January 2009's "J.Crew Attends The Inauguration {wahoo!}" post). The whole family looked absolutely stunning in their outfits. Each outfit looked perfectly polished and put together.

By the way, I could not get over how gorgeous (and tall!) Malia is. (I remember being 14 and going through a terrible awkward phase. One that I am still not 100% convinced I have moved on from.) ;)

Were you excited to spot J.Crew at the Inauguration yesterday? Did you like the pieces?

The Great (Weekly) Exchange {looking to sell}

This post (of weekly posts) is for individual members who want to swap/sell/share among yourselves. This post is where you can mention your items and outside listing/ auction site (like eBay and eCrater & the corresponding user ID).

Please note: this posting is not for resellers, retailers or businesses. If you are a reseller, retailer, or a business, your comment gets automatically deleted & you will get publicly called out on it. :( So instead of this, simply do not post in the Weekly Exchanges. Thanks in advance for your cooperation! :)

Please note that any transactions are independent of this blog. (Especially since you will be using an outside listing/ auction site like eBay or eCrater.) I have no dealings or interactions with any of the potential communication, listings, or transactions. :) Moreover, please limit comments about items to swap/sell/share to the "Great (Weekly) Exchange" posts. (Refer to "A Quick Note to J.Crew Aficionadas" post.)

Do you have any items you would like to swap/sell/share among yourselves through your outside listing/auction site?

Sidenote: What's up with JCAs writing "sub" or "subscribing" as their comment? It just means they are subscribing to all the comments (which are then automatically sent to their email) in that particular thread. This way they can stay aware of all the comments posted. :)
