This is the weekly "J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs}" post, to help each other share our reviews.
So if you have recently purchased, or stopped by a J.Crew store to try on an item (or two) from J.Crew, maybe you might be willing to share that information with us in this post.
Also, this request is not just limited to clothes. Please feel free to discuss bags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, etc.
In particular, if you could mention a few of the noteworthy details like fit, size, fabric, and the like— that would be fantastic! Thanks in advance! :)
I reviewed the striped camp popover on my blog here.

Has anyone tried on the Pom-pom shell item 83881? is it TTS, does the collar hit too high on the neck, where does it hit in terms of length? Thanks
ReplyDeleteJane - there have been several reviews of the Pom-pom shell:
DeleteOn ajc here, on shopwithm here, on DaniBP here, and as Angie's Closet mentioned, on Tweed and Toile here.
I got the Factory White Ankle Skinny jeans and highly recommend. They fit like retail toothpick on top and matchstick cropped on bottom. If that makes sense. I was hoping to avoid retail toothpick calf squeeze and thse factory version are more straight leg in the calf. Weight is nice and heavy and not see through. V pleased. Oh. I took my regular jean size.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip, Pathos! I have the JC toothpicks in white, and they are really tight and uncomfortable on my calves; the fabric has so little give. Maybe I will try the Factory version. Were they doing 30 percent off sale?
DeleteI got them online during the 30% off sale and they came to about $42. Yea; I can't wear toothpicks!
DeleteOh, shoot. They're online only, and the promo is done! Congrats on your score. :) Guess I'll have to keep my eye on these and hope for another online promo sometime soon.
DeleteI got the factory white ankle jeans with the 30% off sale as well but I'm going to return them. While they are definitely the best pair of white jeans I have tried on, I still did not find them flattering enough on my very muscular legs (white is so unforgiving) to keep. I have wide calves and I was relieved to find they were comfortable on my calves (unlike toothpicks). Also, I had to size up (like I do with the toothpick cords). I'm a size 27 in Madewell jeans, a 28 with most other brands and I needed a 29 in these jeans (my toothpick cord size).
Deletep.s. If anyone is looking for size 29 at the promo price I'm more than willing to pass it on. That would be $54 + shipping from Canada. Email verticallyimbalancedmuffin at hotmail dot com
I recently saw at one of my stores a very pretty white boy shirt with indigo polka dots - it's not on-line yet and I only saw it at one location. I reviewed it here . I have tons of older reviews here.
ReplyDeleteIRL pictures and a review of the retail only Ram Head Necklace that was featured on the J. Crew 770 Blog HERE HTH!
ReplyDeleteReviews/outfits with the Naomi Top in Polka Dot here and the Lucille Dress in White Eyelet here. Hope you guys have a great week!!
ReplyDeleteSome new photos and reviews of many items from my trip to the store last week.
ReplyDeleteAnd in case you didn't see it on the other thread, Mickey Drexler called me yesterday!
I hardly ever comment on this blog (but read all the reviews religiously!), but wanted to chime in on the love for the polka dot chambray shirt. I bought it full price (with teacher discount), which I never, ever do. I have the delightful combination of wide shoulders and flat chest, which means I go a size down when I wear something sleeveless. This means that most button-down shirts that fit my shoulders are loose everywhere else, unless they are severely tailored (Thomas Pink, Brooks Brothers). The fabric on this shirt, however, drapes beautifully so it fits me across the shoulders but without the usual too-much-fabric-everywhere-else problem. It's also got a slight sheen to it so it isn't as casual as you'd think chambray would be, though you can certainly dress it down. I just hope it'll hold up to washing and wearing!
ReplyDeletegood to hear! i've been looking at this since the day it came out. will have to go see if i can still get it!
DeleteCould someone kindly comment on if the No. 2 pencil skirt in double-serge cotton wrinkles easily? I'm hesitant to buy one as I sit at my job all day and hate having waves and folds along my skirt when I get up.
ReplyDeleteAlso, OT but has anyone ever tried to make a return just after the 30 day period? (35 days after, for example) Did they give you the return, refused it, or perhaps gave store credit?
TIA
Yes, I think the fabric is pretty wrinkle-prone, personally. I have a few and it doesn't stop me from wearing them but I probably have a higher wrinkle-tolerance!
DeleteI would agree that they are pretty wrinkly...the patterned ones hide the wrinkles more than the solid ones, but this doesn't defer me from wearing them...they're my warm weather work staple!
DeleteYes, it does wrinkle... probably less than a thinner-weight cotton pencil skirt would, but it still creases. I have a relatively high wrinkle tolerance, but I would need to iron it between wearings (coming from someone who irons her skirts every month or so).
DeleteI would say yes, they do wrinkle all right. The only one I found was different was the one in Garden Floral, which I posted about on Sunday.
DeleteI agree with everyone else above who says that they do crease, or wrinkle, a bit--but not terribly so. They are an office staple for me in the summer, and I love them. I have six different colors and wear them all the time. They don't wrinkle as much as a lighter-weight cotton or linen blend would, and usually, the wrinkles are smoothed out by the time I want to wear one of the skirts again (I hang them).
DeleteI concur that the fabric is VERY wrinkle-prone. Scrunch it in the store and watch what happens!
DeleteI'm probably not as "wrinkle tolerant" as the other JCAs as I am in front of a college classroom all day and look like a hot mess with all the whiskering and creasing. My solution is to stay away from the lighter-color solids. Darker shades and prints fare somewhat better on me in this fabric; the wool versions are 100 times better!
This comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteThank you, all!
DeleteThese are definitely wrinkley but I find that if I steam out the wrinkles, as opposed to ironing them, they aren't as harsh. I was going to add the burgundy to my collection but the wrinkle factor was a main reason why I thought I'd wait and see if a wool version is released for fall and buy that one instead. Living in Canada I can get away with wool for most of the year.
DeleteI went a little tippi crazy. here are a few posts of the tippi in heart print crepe and linen stripe. yellow linen and the garment-dyed in neon persimmon coming today. I have them in xs and xxs (more details on the specific posts). Lets see, not too much else new, thanks goodness!
ReplyDeleteI wish the new polka dot chambray shirt fit me. I bought it in my regular perfect shirt size and unfortunately it's very tight in the upper arm. It seems to have too much room in the torso of the shirt and it's sloppy looking with a tight sleeve. Really not a good look. Back it goes.
ReplyDeleteYou're not the only one who won't be wearing this shirt. I cannot understand the appeal of this one, did not even try it on in the store and to me it does not look remarkable on any of the style blogs either. Just meh and barely that really. Seems to me I am often scratching my head at some of the items that become very popular.
DeleteI picked up the suede Monas in the deep orchid last week on the super sale ($54 +30%off) I'm regretting not trying to sizes because I tried my usual size (9) and they were too small. I have the leather Monas in a 9 and while a tad snug they've stretched a bit with wear. I can't even get my foot in the suede ones. I can't imagine they're still in stock...so I guess it just wasn't meant to be. Love the color though, and wish they had worked out!
ReplyDeleteAny chance you'd be willing to pass along the savings to another JCA? I tried to scoop up a pair of those in a size 9, but to no avail. If you're interested in selling instead of returning, I'm at brady.jl@gmail.com
Deleteshopmurphy - I also ordered the Monas, but haven't received them yet. What do you think of the color? On my computer monitor the deep orchid looks more blue than purple. I hope they fit me too, I ordered an 8 and was thinking I should order 2 sizes. C'est la vie! I hope they work out!
DeleteProfessor Brady - ygm
Deleteinjanuity - I would say they are definitely more purple, I'd call them grape, but certainly not blue/navy or anything like that...hth :)
I ordered a featherweight cashmere cardi and I have to say I'm pretty disappointed. At this price point ($206 CDN, full price) I expected it to look and feel luxe but it just doesn't. I would maybe pay half that for it, but even then mainly for the gorgeous colour selection. Fits TTS I think and fit is very comparable to Jackie cardi.
ReplyDeleteForgive me for crowd-sourcing, but has anyone seen little cardis in that pretty rusty-copperish colour that JC does at a cheaper price point, maybe at another retailer? It is a really hard to find colour but I find it goes with everything! The only reason I ordered the featherweight cardi at full price was because I wanted a cardi in 'copper'.
@gumdrops: I had major failures with the featherweight cashmere (2 twinsets) from winter 2010, and have shied away from them since (even if i LOVE the colours). There are stacks of them in my B&M this season, and they look to be just as pill-prone as the previous batches. I would not buy them except when they're on sale + % off promo. It's a real shame...the colours are super pretty but the quality of the cashmere is pretty bad. Just my 2 cents.
DeleteNow, if you're looking for cardis, try Joe Fresh, or look on polyvore. Search for "cardigan" and use the colour filters to sort/filter to find the shade you want. HTH
straycat, I agree. I did not care for the fit of this shirt at all and the color of denim looked awful on me!
ReplyDeleteI ordered the Lula collection snakeskin flats in strawberry. They're really, really cute on - the color is a fresh, true red. I don't own any other Lulas but I the collection ones are leather lined and soled, whereas the other ones (I think) have a rubber or synthetic sole. The collection Lulas also do not have an interior wedge, which I would have liked. They're pretty comfortable for flats, and I took my usual size 6. I'm tempted to buy the linen colored ones when they go on sale too.
ReplyDeleteI bought the Factory Diamond Stitch sundress and quite like it. I may get around to posting pics later. The embroidery is a blue/grey which I wasn't expecting but I really like. I take a 4 in most JC dresses and I found the bodice to be a bit snug but a bra fit though the dress is lined so you don't need to wear one. I think a 6 would have been too big. It is a bit shorter than I expected, as sundresses should be I suppose, but is still work appropriate when paired w a cardi. The bottom half is rather generous so girls w full hips and thighs will like it. It does "pooch" a bit in the stomach area (in other words, doesn't lie flat). It definitely has some minor fit flaws but I like it enough to keep it.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to give a 'love' to my Marci Wedge Sandals. I purchased them on Friday for $62.99, on sale + 30% off, which is a good price for Made in China, me thinks. Not sure why a number of the patent shoes were not Made in Italy this season. Anyway, I wore them yesterday to work, all day and they were amazingly comfortable for a first day wear especially since Denver is hitting 100's these days.
ReplyDeleteHi! What colors are on sale in the Marci wedge? I would definitely be interested!
DeleteThe casablanca blue was on sale at my B&M this past weekend. HTH
DeleteThanks! I'm going to call around and see if I can get them!
DeleteCouple of Madewell reviews since their promo is still going on...Indigo Ink Sweater dress - I LOVE this - I wanted a sweater type dress and the Maritime dress is too baggy on me and I was not in love with it. I had my eye on the Indigo Ink Dress and had been waiting for a promo. IRL it is really nice medium weight not flimsy and feels as thought it will keep its shape well. The ribbed cuffs, hem and collar are nice too. It looks pretty much just as it appears online in terms of the color, a sort of variegated blue. I am 5'8" and it is not too short on me. I've worn it both with leggings and bare legs. I ordered the XS and the fit is good, not baggy through the chest which has been a problem for other Madewell dresses in numbered sizes. Highly recommend. I also ordered the Lacy Waves Tee, which is available in White and Light nectar. Last year I think it came in black. The light nectar is on sale (and keeps popping back). IRL the color is a very pretty peach, not neon or extremely bright. The lace is really beautiful and it is beautifully made and nicely lined. I like that it is cotton lace versus nylon. The problem for me is that it is described as 'tee-shirt fit'. I had called and asked about this. They said this was NOT oversized. However the XS is gigantic!! This is very sad. I took it to a tailor and it would need the sleeves taken out to be taken in enough to make it even loosely wearable (like a tee shirt). I called Madewell and the CS agent somewhat reluctantly said I could return for exchange or giftcard as "one time courtesy"...so, I do recommend the style etc of this lace top but I think it is sized large....I wish there were more Madewell stores.
ReplyDeleteIs 30% off sale in stores still going on today? It was yesterday! Also, does anyone know if it is going on in factory stores? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteSlightly OT, but does anybody know if the 40% off sale items is still going on at Madewell in stores? And along those lines, has anyone tried the Film Noir Pumps in Polka dot? The CS chat rep told me they run TTS (not to J. Crew but to other retailers). Anyone have words of wisdom, since it's final sale and I'd be paying to ship from a store?
ReplyDeleteHi I reviewed them awhile ago on my blog, they run small . I got sz 8 per CS on final sale and they were tight to the point I could not wear. I had to plead to exchange them for a larger sz and at 8 1/2 they are great. Go half size up for sure.
DeleteI agree with Slastena--definitely go up half a size in these!
DeleteThe Film Noir Pumps all run small IMO. I would go up half a size. I reviewed the suede ones on my blog.
DeleteI reordered Attache dress in seersucker in size 6 and it fits me better than size 8, I would say go with your regular to smaller size on this one. I also posted a review of Kari dress that was a surprising like. See both reviews HERE.
ReplyDelete(original) Genny.....I had high hopes for this shirt since so many people were raving over it. I have so many other denim and chambray shirts that I love. This one was just really off. And I agree....the fabric and the cut just didn't do anything for me.
ReplyDeleteCan anyone comment on the fit of the anchors away bikini? I think it's cute, but I recall J.Crew's underwire tops running small. That was a couple of years ago though, so not sure if they have changed at all. Thanks, ladies!
ReplyDeleteer, anchors aweigh (ehem).
DeleteJane,
ReplyDeleteI tried replying to your post, but it won't let me. I believe Tweed & Toile did a review of the Pom Pom shell.
http://tweedandtoile.blogspot.com/
Hi. I have a review of the linen Tessa top on my blog at http://beachchicstyle.blogspot.com/.
ReplyDeleteI'm very happy with the Factory Classic Trench. Although I haven't seen the retail Icon Trench IRL, so I can't compare it, the Factory Classic has all the details you'd expect from a retail item. Quality and finish are just fine. I know that some JCAs have sized down, but I took the larger of my two JC sizes because I wanted to make sure that I'd have room to wear it with a jacket, and I'm glad that I did, as the trench was a little smaller than I'd expected in the shoulders.
ReplyDeleteThis trench has a bad case of Crew RPS (rubber price syndrome), and in the last few weeks I've seen the "red price" listed as $148, $128, $168 (last weekend), and the current price of $98, which is what I paid two weeks ago. At that price, I'd consider it a great bargain.
For the lady asking, the No. 2 pencil skirts DO wrinkle, but it's not as obvious in the printed versions I have found! The solid color ones really show the wrinkles after you've been sitting!
ReplyDeleteIf you haven't yet, run to J.Crew and grab a silk bow cami, they are so reasonable now with the additional 30% off! Here I am wearing the brilliant purple...so glad I got this for arond $35! You need one too! :)
http://colorfulcorporate.blogspot.com/2012/06/bow-cami-happenstance.html
Seconded! I have the green one and striped one and they are so so cute. I paid FP for the green ages ago, but got the stripes on promo - about $60 CDN. Fit is slim but TTS I would say.
DeleteI tried on the Dizzy Anchors dress today and feel it runs slightly large. My 'normal' J.Crew dress size is a 0 or 2, but the size 00 fit the best in this particular dress. The dress is really cute in person, and the quality is good, too. I almost purchased it, as I love the silhouette (I would love to see the dress offered in a solid color or a plaid), and think the anchor print would be cute for our stays on the Gulf Coast. However, it doesn't seem to be selling well, so I decided to wait and try to pick it up on sale later.
ReplyDeleteI really like the Raj paisley maxidress that I picked up last week with the extra 30% off. I have the size 0 and the fit is good, although I have noticed it stretching out just a bit as the day goes on, so I quite possibly could have sized down. I know others have mentioned that the dress is cut low in the front on them, but it's not the case for me. The coverage at the bust is good, and the length is not too long...it actually hits me at the ankle, and I am 5'4". I wore it today for some shopping and running errands, and received numerous compliments on the dress. Here is the polyvore of my outfit: 6.26.12. There were three size 8's at the Orlando store today, and numerous size 12's at the Tampa store at the end of last week, for anyone who may be looking for the dress. It was still marked $79.99 in store today before the extra 30% off.
ReplyDeleteThink I may call the Tampa store. Thx for the heads up!
DeleteI appreciate the reviews of the new polka dot chambray Perfect Shirt. I had high hopes for this one too and I do think it is adorable on the model.
ReplyDeleteSorry if I missed this somewhere, but has anyone reviewed the Flower Lattice Necklace or seen it IRL? I'm obsessed with it for some reason and I need someone to talk me down. Can it be worth $228?
ruffles: DaniBP reviewed the Flower Lattice Necklace here.
DeleteFFM thank you so much!
DeleteI am sure these have been reviewed to death, but just in case...
ReplyDeleteLeather Sperry boat shoes: go with your smaller 1/2 size. Runs narrow. Really soft leather and the platinum gold is a steal for the store price $50 - 30% Much less than anywhere else on the web
Seville espadrilles: I went with my normal size. Walkable, although it was just around the shoe area :)
Audra sandals: go with your smaller 1/2 size. although my normal size was ok too. I have narrower feet, and while the straps that cross over the top of my foot were a little loose, the ankle strap had enough holes to fit snugly.
Love the reviews - thanks again Alexis for adding this weekly post!
Can anyone comment on whether or not the Martina Wedges stretch out at all? Mine arrived today and are as gorgeous IRL as they are on-line, only they are a little tight in the toes. The length is fine. What are the chances that they'll stretch out a little with some wear? TIA!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I got my norma size in the Audrey sandal. I think if I would have gotten 1/2 size down my toes would be hanging over the egdes of the foot bed. I just tighten them as tight as I could, as the top straps are loose and stick up above my foot.
ReplyDeleteMy Audras are my reg sz too, I have widish feet and sandals are treating them well.
Deletethe Chambray Dot Button-up is a piece I'm watching. Re: No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Cotton--I have the Citron and I don't really feel the wrinkling/creasing is too bad--the Cotton is a good weight and it does have a bit of stretch. Love mine!!!
ReplyDeleteI second your opinion. I would say the cotton is pretty thick so it creases rather than wrinkles but no more than any other skirt of similar weight material would. My only nit is that the rear seam on mine split on the first wear.
DeleteI just got my first No 2 skirt in cotton, it's really thick, I had to size up as there wasn't much give in the fabric.
DeleteThese reports of split seams that I keep hearing make me nervous. How embarrassing! I don't know what I'd do if my skirt seam split at work. It's not like most of us keep extra clothes in the coat closet.
DeleteIt was my first day wearing one of 2 cotton No2 I bought so I was a bit ticked as it isn't too tight on me. So far it hasn't happened to the other one. It split about an inch up the vent at the bottom of the skirt. Nobody could see my undies or anything but I didn't bother going to the store to exchange it. I just had a tailor stitch it back up.
DeleteIf anyone is interested in my previous comment re factory diamond stitch sundress I have posted a pic at pinterest.com/pin/126100858287011630/
ReplyDeleteThe dress is adorable on you. P.S. I have started following you on Pinterest - you have amazing taste! Love it!
DeleteAww, thanks! I will be following u back. Perhaps we shall bump into each other at Yorkdale..lol
DeleteDagmara, now I want to see, if Louise says you have an amazing taste then you do! The link didn't work for me, is there another route to it?
DeleteYou can find me on pinterest under dagmara and it is in the jcrew board. HTH
DeleteThanks D!
DeleteI was wondering if anyone had a positive review of the leather Brompton Hobo or the Biennial Hobo? I had my heart set on a new Fall 2012 leather Coach tote, but with the rising prices of their bags and quality decline, I am looking to purchase one of J.Crew's bags instead. Really loving the Brompton, can't decide between Henna or Black. Thanks in advance!
ReplyDeleteI have the leather Brompton Hobo in Henna, and I love it. I find the Henna shade goes with EVERYTHING, and it reminds me of a baseball glove. I fit everything in it...I use it as an everyday regular purse which shows its carryall colors during trips where I can stuff souvenirs, books, etc in the airplane. I've read some people have issues with their clasp/hardware squeaking a little bit...mine did initially, but no longer does. It didn't bother me that much in the first place, though. I will say the strap is a little thin, but I'm used to it now and don't mind that. Also, some people say that JCrew purses don't hold up anymore. Well, although mine's only a year old, I'm hard on my belongings and mine looks nothing short of amazing still. So, I say a thousand times, "Yes" to the Brompton.
DeleteMeggers,
DeleteThank you so much for your reply regarding the Brompton Hobo. I just ordered it today in Henna. I am so excited, I really think I will love it! Thanks for your review!
Hi everyone: inspired by your comments on the double-serge cotton skirt, I've got a question to throw out here. I'm starting a new job in the deep south this fall, and I'm looking for JC skirts or suiting that can handle the heat. Any recommendations? Or maybe it's always going to be a losing battle against the weather? (This northerner has no idea.)
ReplyDeleteJamie, As a transplanted Northerner myself, I can say that you just need to give yourself over to the heat and humidity. Stick with cotton or linen, and wear sleeveless tops. Keep a jacket or cardigan on hand for the excessive a/c.
DeleteI lived in New Orleans for a while and I 2nd the jacket/cardigan recommendation. Most offices blast the AC and, as someone who always lived in the north, I was constantly freezing at work.
DeleteThanks guys!
DeleteI ordered the Baby Brompton purse in the Sahara Dune color, which came to about $80-something with the 30% off sale. Does anyone have this color in any style of Brompton? I am worried about it showing dirt. It has a pebbled texture, so I'm not very worried about scratching, but the color is light. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteCate, I got the mini-hobo in metallic gold just recently and have been enjoying it as my summer bag immensely. I wear it as a crossbody and it holds my daily essentials well. I switched from Tillary blue after it rubbed color on my brand new yellow shorts.
DeleteSlastena, any chance you could do a review on the mini hobo?
DeleteThanks
Cate, I have the mini Brompton in sahara dune. Love this color! So rich, soft and (bonus)neutral; it goes with everything. I can see it transitioning into fall nicely due to it's rich pebbled texture. Mine has stayed clean & have had it a couple of months at least. Though, I am always careful with my purses ( dang those pesky pen marks). Best of luck with your Brompton, it's a beautiful bag!
DeleteDid they change the tags? I'm finding it hard to read the size on the label of the newer items and have to look at the price tag to figure out the size. Was in the store today and they did still have the 30% off sale going on. I bought something FP for the first time in a long time. I got a soft blue chambray popover. I sized down. It reminded me of a soft washed men's oxford type shirt.
ReplyDeleteThanks to everyone for the reviews on the pom-pom shell- pricey right now, so I will wait
ReplyDeleteI just got the Tippi heart sweater - review here! http://smalltownbigwardrobe.com/2012/06/27/outfit-of-the-day-pop-art/
ReplyDeleteOT, but was anyone at the Soho store event with Tom Mora last night? See post here
ReplyDeleteCool story about meeting and talking with Tom Mora...Thanks for sharing!
DeleteWhat a fun night. You looked great btw.
DeleteVery fun!! You look great! *sigh* if I lived in NY.....
DeleteJCAs...has anyone ever tried to remove one item from an online order in the 1 hour time window? I'm wondering if the one item I check will be removed, or if the whole order will cancel.
ReplyDeleteGigi: I'm pretty sure it cancels the entire order. The last CSR I spoke with said that no changes can be made to an order once it's placed, so if one box gets checked the entire order will be cancelled.
DeleteGigi I have never been able to cancel just one item; it cancels the whole order. I haven't done it recently so maybe it's changed, but that's been my experience before.
DeleteGigi: This may be a bug with Mac/Safari, but I have only had the check boxes for individual items show up on my screen for large orders with numerous items, and on those occasions when the check boxes appear, I can cancel items individually without cancelling the whole order. Otherwise, if the check boxes don't show up on my screen, I have been able to call the customer service and they can manually do it on their side without cancelling the whole order ( I did this recently, as in just a couple weeks ago).
DeleteDoes anyone have a review for the giraffe necklace or bracelet? Not sure if they're worth the pricey tag...they're just so unique! Please let me know!
ReplyDeleteGigi, I did it once and the entire order canceled. There was no way to choose individual items to cancel. Maybe theyved changed it, that was about a year ago.
ReplyDeleteI ordered the classic cafe capri in petite sizing during the 30% promo and I was so disappointed! The bottom of the leg is not flared, at all and not to mention too long! It hits at my ankle and doesn't even look like capri pants (I'm 5'3), but more like a skimmer. Has anyone had any luck finding petite crop pants that actually look like crop pants? Or any ideas? TIA!
ReplyDeleteOT - but I am looking for the garden floral pencil skirt (78190) in size 12 if anyone sees it in their store! Or, if you see a bunch at your store - I would appreciate the shout out so I can call and order! :) Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteI ordered the Whisper Linen V-Neck Pocket Tee (item 71290, online only) during the last promo and it arrived today. I was suprised to see that it fits quite differently than last year's tee. Last year I got an XS that fits perfectly...slightly slouchy. This year I ordered a S to be safe and it is form fitting...no slouch at all! I laid the S on top and it is about 2 inches narrower on both sides and a little bit longer. To get the fit of last year's XS I guess I'd have to size up to a Medium!
ReplyDeleteMartina patent wedges in Bronzed Clay. I have now seen 2 different pairs of these. One is slightly darker and a regular seam on the back; the other is a lighter color, the leather wrinkles when I put them on and the back has one of those extra pieces of leather to reinforce the seam. Has anyone else noticed the 2 different wedges? Is one from the original roll out and the other a new one? How does either one hold up? Thank you for any and all input.
ReplyDeleteAnyone looking for the Marci Patent Wedges? I found a pair in Casblanca Blue today at my local store. Here's the number 503-624-6386.
ReplyDeleteWhen I left at 1:00 they had 9 1/2, 9, and I think 7 and 8. They were $89.99 less %30....I paid $62.99.
I tried on the pom-pom shell today. I'm not all giddy over it. I love it's vintage look, love the pom-poms....didn't mind it being a square boxy cut....but I'm not too keen on the high turned collar. I'm going to have to try it again with pants. It seems to be a top you would wear with capris or skinny jeans.
ReplyDeleteI received the Inez flat sandals yesterday, which I ordered during last week's 30% off promo - VERY pleased with them! Made in Italy, leather sole and upper - increasingly rare these days! The bright dahlia is a gorgeous deep pink colour. Even more exciting, they are TTS compared to non-J.Crew shoes, and the strap that goes over the foot is generous, i.e. doesn't cut into the bones at the sides of my foot (always a problem area for me with sandals). I'll try to do an outfit post with these sometime this weekend!
ReplyDeleteHas anyone tried the silky pleated pant: http://www.jcrew.com/womens_feature/NewArrivals/pants/PRDOVR~87749/87749.jsp
ReplyDeleteI am looking for a pair of navy pants, these look promising.
I just received the Tessellate necklace in neon peach and I love it. The name of the color scared me, but it's a true coral and I can't wait to wear it with navy and lots of other colors. I didn't even know the Tessellate necklace existed in this color until I saw it on Kim of Clothing is My Collection here:
ReplyDeletehttp://clothingismycollection.blogspot.com/2012/06/flamingo.html
Has anyone tried the skinny Davidson wash Jean? I'm torn between sizes. I love the way 6 feels and looks. The 4 works but it's tighter in waist almost uncomfortable. I'm wondering if they stretch out
ReplyDeleteA lot? Thx
Oh it's from JCrew factory!
