Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. This is OT But does anyone know where shoe "ornaments" for lack of a better word (I'm only one espresso in) can be purchased?
I have so many pairs of shoes that would look fun with a bow or other embellishment, in particular a perfect pair of Anne Klein pointy toe houndstooth flats that have a little silver buckle (I generally wear gold).
I might just need to go to the craft store and DIY!

    1. Suz Has, so funny, I just bought a pair on eBay! Look for shoe clipsor shoe jewelry clips.

    2. Years ago, I worked at a Shop for Pappagallo and we sold Pappagallo shoes and shoe clips, this was back in the late 80s. They say everything comes back around. You can also use clip on earrings for shoe clips.

    3. It is funny! In the late 80s I wore my grandmother's from the fifties. (Most likely as a gazillion broches on my oversized Blazers!) but, sadly those are long gone. Everything certainly does come back!

    2. Should also mention that only certain Full-price items qualify. Soooooo annoying when they do this.

    3. Wait was yesterday 50% off final sale? I thought only 40%? Did I miss a code?

(Re:Carolyn, Just to clarify: it's 25% off Full-price item totaling $125 (unlike yesterday's 50% off Final Sale (at least in the US.)

    4. @Suz Has, sorry, I deleted my comment because I realized I was mistaken - I don't think we had 40% off here in US either.

    5. Thanks for clarifying! We had 40% off final sale and free shipping.

    7. opps! I am in Canada. our stores at this time of summer usually are 50% off sale . they were a few weekends ago...I was able to get a few good deals.
With this promo...its close to us saving the taxes..so its a no go for me.
I do love J Crew. I am not surprised looking at preorders that some prices are lower. I have found alot of the fabrics very thin lately...so quality wise prices are on par more than before.
But I am trying to be patient as I see much of what I drooled over early this season ..I could have purchased for 40 -50 % off a week or two ago.
so...I for now am going to try and hold off buying in Aug.

  4. I won't be stopping at retail - I do have some returns to make but I'm waiting to get another dress this weekend so I can decide on a black bridesmaid dress for a wedding I'm in this fall - so I can coincide in-store returns next week with checking out the new arrivals. A little disappointed in this weekend's promotion (no extra % off sale), so hoping that flips when we have the new arrivals next week.

I will be at the outlet mall this weekend though so may stick my head in the Factory store.

    1. If you do go to Factory let us know your thoughts as far as fit re: the Factory Schoolboy blazers. I have a few Keating boy blazers from Factory but none since retail retired their own Schoolboy.

    2. Thanks! Closest Factory store is 3 hours away so it's nice to get fit / quality details before I order & have to return. :)

    3. I reviewed the factory school boy blazer on my IG

    4. @Ina thanks. I deleted the IG app - my account was deleted (due to inactivity?) & I can't get it back. :(

    5. @Taylor I was able to try on the solid one as well as the plaid patterned one - the solid ones are sized similar to the old schoolboys - all of my old retail ones are a size 10 and the 10 worked best for me in the factory one (I'm mostly a 12 in most of their blazers now post-schoolboy). The material is definitely thinner than the retail ones and not as nice of a wool as the retail ones as it looks like it's a blend. I don't see much if any difference from the Keating - I have a feeling they renamed them - and if you look at the browser heading when you go to the website, mine says Keating blazer but it says Schoolboy in the description. The lining felt cheaper too.

While the colors in the plaid one don't really appeal to me (they didn't have the solid red one sadly) I did like the fit of that one and the sizing was the same - the wool seemed nicer and the lining felt much nicer. Maybe a little scratchy but that could have been me not wanting fall clothes on as it was 90+ degrees outside today!

I have photos, not sure if I'll get to post them - if you have any other questions feel free to shoot me an email at fablifeforever at gmail :) hope this helps!

    4. Also, thanks to @liztriden for letting me know that if you go to the website and search pre order the images of new products come up. REALLY helpful! I called my Atlanta store to see when the new fall will be in and he said their first shipment is Monday August 15

    6. I haven't gotten it either, but I must say, mostly I'm loving the shoes. Of course this year I went crazy on pumps, but the chunkier heels are so beautiful.

    7. I adore the velvet shoes with the lucite heel. They are my only "must have" right now. Everything about them is perfect to me. The color, the lucite, chunky heel, the manageable height, the round toe - a simply delicious looking shoe!

  6. I won't be shopping retail tomorrow but I may make a trek to the clearance store as soon as my husband gets out the door to the Titans preseason game in Nashville. I really need to stay home and do some housework...:( No fun!!!

    2. hmmm.... so far do not care for the sammie pant. so cords are out. not a fan of the sailor pants (maybe the style feels to much like summer not fall) wish the margo had sleeves . I like the new handbags and J Crew has finally made a few rings again. can't wait to see these IRL.

  10. Unexpected find that they just brought today at my Chicago store - metallic Birkenstocks at additional 40% off. Woo hoo. Was able to grab the last pair in my size. For those interested and in the area, they also just added a bunch of cute Dr. Scholl's in metallic colors as well to the sale. Glad I stopped in.

    1. yay for you! were you able to get the pink/copper? I was just happy to catch that on a pop back at full price!

    2. Hi Audrey - not to worry; there was only one left in the pink/copper and it was super small size. I have a similar special edition color Birk made a few years back so I didn't need a second pair. I ended up getting the silver one. hope that helps.
