This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale
items at our
various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If
you are stopping
by a J.Crew store this weekend to see
what's available (if
anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in
person, maybe you might be
willing to share that with us in this
post. In particular, if you could
share with us a few of the
noteworthy items that are available, at
what prices, and potential sizes
the store is carrying (as well
as the store location)- that would be
fantastic!
Also,
please let us know if your local store is
carrying an additional percent
off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)
P.S.
I noticed that many of
you have already been reporting sale
items (and in which stores) in
other posts which by the way "thank
you!" :) I really appreciate how
helpful we are for each other!
I stopped off a my local store yesterday and mind you it's small compared to others nationwide. The guys section is pathetic. They had hardly of the new inventory from the last new roll out, they still had a big summer section and very few fall items, I was disappointed :( which means I'll have to order online and as most people have experienced sizing has been off lately. Don't get me wrong the SA's at my local store are great. It seams that most of their inventory both the last of the summer and sales items don't seam to be moving.
ReplyDeleteI stopped by my local madewell last night and was surprised that, for the first time since I've been shopping there - we're talking, like, years - they didn't have an extra percentage off sale items. and this is a store that almost always has 30% off sale, or even 50% off sale jewelry. I was truly very surprised. they did have a huge selection of new items, though, and some of the new bags in the ink and burgundy colors really are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday, JCA's!
ReplyDeleteMy B&M doesn't have too much of a sale section or a new arrivals section - it's a little odd. However, I made out pretty good on their sale accessories - a calf-hair leopard print headband for $5, socks for $1.50-$3, last season's tortoise barrettes for $3.50. A lot of these things are in glass jars that may be up on a shelf in the sale section so it may be worth taking a look. Lots of bangles with sale prices that are on tables of regular-priced clothing as well.
Vancouver Robsen St store....40% off sale section.
ReplyDeleteI went in for returns and left empty handed.
there were 4 or 5 olive lucite necklaces and odds and ends.
I never bought one but I think those olive Lucite necklaces would be great going into fall.

I got an email yesterday for 50% off sale if you use your j.crew card, code CARDPERK. Things that were not final sale were getting the 50% off. I picked up the ruffle dress in vibrant paisley for $59 so half off the promo price of $118. Great price for silk and I can return it!!
ReplyDeleteMy store in Tukwila WA has random small promos, like 20% off scarves and t shirts, 25% off shorts, and 40% off sale. No promos on the newest stuff. I was doing returns and got in a conversation with the SA, a college aged kid, about promos and prices. He said that he also waits for a promo to buy and combines it with his employee discount because his discount isn'the good enough on its own to afford things. Thought that was an interesting perspective that matches what is often said here.
ReplyDeleteYeah, JC really seems to be trying to move away from doing full-price promos and only offering them on specific categories of items. Wonder how well this strategy is working. I popped in at a store briefly last night and the SAs seemed desperate for something to do (more than a few offered to help me find things.) The store seemed quiet, with only a handful of customers. Banana Republic was having a big F&F sale so my husband and I went there instead -- MUCH busier in comparison.
DeleteI wish JC would just offer that 20% promo on New Arrivals, instead of hand-picking select items. The move would be effective, at least for me -- I would feel better paying just a tiny bit less on some items. Mind-tricks, in part, but effective all the same. Oh well.
OT....Canadian JCA's on Friday airing of "the Social" Cynthia had on J Crews brush stroke skirt with matching ruffle top. Seeing actually on I find I do not like it.
ReplyDeleteI'm a little late to the party, however, if any of you happen to see the JCrew gingham linen pink/ivory pants in a size 12 in your local store, please email me at asisterthing2012@gmail.com. I would love to find these. Thank you! :)
ReplyDeleteI have these and they are awesome. Call a store and ask them to look them up in the store inventory for you. The Charleston Store is very helpful, some stores are clueless and will try to tell you they are sold out because they may only see a few stores that have one. One pair is all you need and you would be surprised at how many times I have found an item that is very low inventory.
DeleteThank you, @Doodle Dachshund! I will try that when stores open tomorrow morning. Hoping I get lucky!! Thanks again. :)
DeleteI agree with DD, I called a store that showed only 1 in stock and it was actually there! This was right after I received the wrong item and the CS representative searched the whole country for it to no avail :-/ The Georgetown store is very helpful too. Good luck!
DeleteI called and a very helpful associate said her screen showed my item as sold out. I called another store and they had my item. My store also had items that don't show up on the website anymore. I looked to compare pricing. Something seems to have changed.
