    1. Yes, thank you -- with each and every roll-out, I tend to forget this 'preorder' trick. Every time! So thank you, from my forgetful little brain.

    4. Thanks for the heads up, Liztriden!
Uh-oh..as always, in trouble when it comes to J.Crew during fall season. :-)

      Interested in the:
      -Margot top in silk foulard
-Short sleeve ruffle top in stripe
-Collection colorblock shearling merino sweater (looking at the photo, i wished they made the fur around the sweater instead of just at the front)
-Petite Billie boot crop (I've always wanted jeans with an unfinished hem, and glad that this comes in petite)
-Drake's for J.Crew pant in Bird of Paradise (I've had my eye on these since NYFW, very excited to try these on-it looks cute online paired with a Breton. I'm not easily swayed by prints-but this I love)
      -Jane Sunglasses in grey
      -Crystal fan earrings
-Mini Rider bag (love in pine and chestnut)

They brought back the A-line button wool skirt. I still have mine in camel-circa 2010-11?. At least the new ones have pockets!

Disappointed that the Tie-waist skirt and shift dress both in leopard is poly-yuck. Been wanting a leopard skirt in serge wool, but they had to make it in that fabric. :(

I agree the shoes are pretty.

    5. liztriden Thanks so much for the tip.

The new mens' suiting is beautiful and so are the new shoes, but wow there's some sticker shock too. The Ludlow pants are $295 CDN, they look incredible but wow that price is steep. Here's to a 25% off promo on new items soon.

    6. It's great to see the pink houndstooth mini is offered in Tall sizes, but I don't understand why the matching jacket is not offered in Tall. Then the Rhodes blazer in Italian wool is offered in tall but the matching pants are not. I don't get it. However, as someone who is almost 6 ft. tall, I've been begging for longer miniskirts so I guess this is a step in the right direction.

  2. I'm wearing a pair of 8+ year old Cafe Capri pants today, I fished them out of my closet this morning having not worn them in a while. They feel so nice and crisp and make me happy, I had almost forgotten how old they were.

  3. Loving the designs on some of the silk (yes, silk!) scarves - but last winter I blew my rewards on a Drake's silk scarf, the one with unicorns, and really the fabric was thinner than gauze, transparent, and heavily stiffened with sizing. The SA was shocked that I was returning it, and I suggested she feel the fabric. She did -- "Oh." So I'm wavering about trying these. The prices are a lot lower than the starting price of the one I bought, which could be good, but could also indicate an even lesser quality silk. Thoughts?

    1. WFF, I think the lower price points have to do with moving away from promos rather than lesser quality (don't quote me though). I think J. Crew is trying to retrain us to buying full price and our complaints that overpriced plus promo brings things down to their worth have been heard because the lower prices are across the board. That is my educated guess as a long time shopper, but then again it could mean all of the above because with J. Crew, ya never know. It's playing the Crew-lette at it's finest!

    2. Initially I was thinking quality may be lower with the lower price points but I think Jcrew is changing their pricing strategy. I'm thinking that they are offering some items at lower starting points so they can sell at full price or promos like 20% off rather than the 30% off promos or deep discounts that we've been seeing. So hopefully the quality won't be compromised to offer the lower starting prices. I hope that the silk scarf works out for you. :)

    1. Thanks for the offer, @liztriden. I'm not sure what to ask for. Are there any images you particularly like? jeanrzanoni has a few images on her instagram, so if you post others that catch your eye, that would be fun to see. Thanks again!
