This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SUMMER & FALL sale, or to see some new FALL arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!
Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)
They just posted a new code on their website - free shipping on orders of $100 or more

If anyone's looking, I saw 2 XS, 2 S and 1 M metallic beach cardi at the Emeryville store 510 450 2548. This was on Sat evening and they were folded on one of the slideout drawers. Very much hidden.
ReplyDelete...oops -- color silver only.
ReplyDeleteSubscribing. :)
ReplyDeleteI went to the beach, so for once I can honestly say no Crew for me this weekend, LOL! It is still 95 degrees here, so my fall/winter items will not be coming out to play for some time. Sigh. ....
ReplyDeleteElanie,
ReplyDeleteYes, I would love to try the arrow sweater but it is in the 90's here and I don't even wear the heavy sweaters I do own right now! Will wait for a big sale if it is still around:) Been swimming 3 times this weekend and loving the warmth here in NC.
I just wish Final Sale would change to Fall Sale soon.
This last week I went to my local B&M and tried on both the Arrow and the Dream Open Shawl Collar Cardigan. While both looked lovely on the displays, they looked very "meh" on me. I was surprised because I'm normally such a sucker for clean line sweaters. The Arrow was almost too severe and the Dream Shawl looked like something my Nana would have worn. But it could be that I'm very short and a little stumpy - must be a proportions game. A few other women tried the Dream Shawl on as well and we all agreed there was something missing. I think I love my Alices too much and everything doesn't fair as well by comparison.
ReplyDeleteI will probably be drawn and quartered for this, but I did order the popover hoodie in heather plum. The SA told me that many of her clients have returned this because the plum color is very faint - almost making it look grey with the heathering. I took a chance because of the sweater discount, but I'll report back on fit etc. She also said it ran slightly larger than the zip hoodies.
OT but can anyone tell me about the sizing of their ballet flats? I have ordered 1 pair of driving mocs and 1 pair of ballet flats in my regular 6 and both were a little loose. Are all their flats generally like this? TIA!!!
ReplyDelete20% off Women's pants, including denim, valid until September 22. In stores and online.
ReplyDelete20% off pants. Wish they would add blazers, sweaters and shoes. But since it's pants, can anyone recommend the 120s Elan? They're unlined right? Scratchy? TTS? If I wear a 6 in Waverly but want these to be loose and drapey, would I go 8 or 10? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI visited my nearest store and wrote up a few posts with pics. You can see my latest fitting room reviews here.
ReplyDeleteI got a chance to visit my local store and put up a few posts with IRL pics. Click here to see them.

ReplyDeleteYes, Genny...I want the final sale to be over. Bring on the Fall Sale, Jcrew.
ReplyDeleteI went to B&M last week to return some stuff and I bought the Novo-stripe wrap top for $39.99, Ripstop jacket for $69.99, and the marled cardigan in camel color for $69.99 (I may end up returning since I already have last year's black one and this one's slightly thinner and more scratchy).
I was able to go to a Crewlet on Saturday since my hubby wanted to go for a drive. ;-)
Very underwhelmed. I was able to get some good replicas (I'm calling this since most of the styles are copied styles from previous year) this summer such as the marakesh top, monterey stripe skirt, and some more, but the fabric content on sweaters and jackets are just terrible right now. Wool contents are below 50% in most of them unless it's merino. I tried on the Gallager cardigan and I couldn't keep it on for a minute. So was the Anton sweater. Unless you will be wearing long sleeves under these sweaters I wouldn't get them. And in the back of my mind was how long would these last from piling and fraying? I did like the schoolboy blazer but I was between sizes and they didn't have my size and color I wanted. No extra % off purchases over $150 or more. The sale section was very picked through and the prices weren't that attractive since they didn't have additional % off lowest ticket price.
Anyways, from the current offerings I don't think I'll be going to the Crewlet anytime soon.
Jackie - I am a 7.5 and usually wear an 8 in J Crew. I take a 7 in the mocs. they are supposed to be fitted & then form to your feet w/wear. HTH
ReplyDeletejcrewphd - I have referred to a 10% on $150 or more at Crewlet and it's a promo that is offered thru Premium Outlets. You print the coupon from their site, if your J Crew Factory Store is at a Premium Outlet location. You won't see signage or mention of that one inside the store. They will try to get you to apply for the J Crew credit card for an addtl 10%, of course.
I tried on the goldenrod brocade top for the 3rd time. I posted a couple of pics in this post.
Did anyone see the Bayberry flouncette blouse in store? Is it on sale for the same price as listed online ($59.99)? I tried it on instore and loved it, but was waiting for a sale. Really not cool with the final sale thing though, so I'm hoping I might be able to pick it up in store. I don't live very close to one though. :)
ReplyDeleteTIA!
Jackie -- I echo what gigiofca said. I am also a 7.5 and have been taking 8 in JC heels lately. But in both the classic ballet flat and the one pair of driving mocs I have, I sized down to 7.
ReplyDeleteI went to my local B&M sore in St. Louis and found the coat I have been stalking online for weeks now, the Stadium-cloth peacoat in charcoal. I usually wear an XS or even an XXS in their shirts, sweaters, and tanks. I tried on the size 2 in the peacoat and while it fit great everywhere (accentuates a small waist :) the arms were a bit snug and if I were to wear a sweater under it, the size 2 would have been quite uncomfortable. I ended up getting the size 4 in charcoal at full price. I was waiting for a coupon code but this coat is already on backorder online and I didn't want to chance it selling out in my size.
ReplyDeleteThe great thing about the Stadium Cloth peacoat is that it is very warm without being bulky at all. The stadium-cloth material is great!
Thanks for the feedback gigi and Clicquot!
ReplyDeleteAmanda,
I have seen the Bayberry Flouncette Blouse in my B&M (McLean, VA) on sale for $59.99. I agree that it's beautiful!
Thanks Jackie!
ReplyDeleteNow I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed they have it in my size in my B&M!
Went to my B&M on Friday night. Sale section was nice and full, however no extra % off. I'm rather new to the J Crew obsession & really started shopping there this summer when the 30% off sale items was going strong. Now I'm addicted, especially to their jewelry. Got the Rimini cardigan and absolutely love it. Got the last medium in the store, but I also really wanted the nutmeg one too. I'm not an XS though!
ReplyDeleteWent to a B&M today - Chiffon Cecelia Cami was on sale for 79.99.
ReplyDeleteI've got a wedding coming up, and just received my red card in the mail today, so I'm hoping to find a dress!
ReplyDeleteAnyone know what dresses are in the B&Ms lately? I haven't been to mine in ages. Thanks!
Lauren- I just don't think there are tons of dress options in the b&m but I don't have any dresses in my store I'd wear to a wedding we get no collection (or rare pieces) maybe you are in a bigger city though and might have more options! That said I think there are some super cute options online....
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up! I'm going to check it out this weekend and see.
