ReplyDeleteSo much publicity for the Romantics movie. How many JCAs are actually going to go see it? I think I'll pass. How good can it be if they have to constantly promote the h3ll out of it?
ReplyDeleteGot this email newsletter and checked out the collection looks as well as the top-shelf picks for DH. Would like a bit more color and structure. Not loving the look of sweats with feathers and sequins.

ReplyDeleteI have a weakness for WASP lifestyle-porn "literature" (and I like J.Crew? I know, you're shocked), so I bought "The Romantics" when it first came out. IMO a truly awful book, but, to be fair, the kind of book that could be better as a movie. (I think that the author is a screenwriter.) Based on the book, anyway, Katie Holmes is terribly miscast; she and Anna Pacquin should have switched roles. But who am I kidding, due to the aforementioned weakness I will be going to see the movie.

ReplyDeleteI also have news -- I learned today that we are apparently having a Crewcuts 'trunk show' in Raleigh later this month! Isn't that crazy? And what's even weirder is that it's at someone's house! Random ... I'm going to try to go, if for no other reason than to info-gather and report back to y'all (assuming anyone is interested in the info.
