This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available in the WINTER & HOLIDAY sale, or to see some new RESORT arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!
Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)
P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!
NOTE: "Thanks!" to many of you, including Jacquie, who have reported that B&M stores are carrying an additional 30% off sale items!
Heads up for whoever has been looking for the Maya cardigan in a size x-small (I remember some people posting about it). It's online NOW.
ReplyDeleteLooks like there is a restock. I scooped up some goodies - maya and ethereal cardis. You have to use the "search" feature and look up general items like skirt, jacket etc.
ReplyDeleteOff topic, but what do you all think about the "Long Beach Cardigan" in navy and the "Cotton Nico Skirt" in faded black? Is either one or both a good buy? I'm thinking about asking for them for my February birthday or just getting them myself...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info!
ReplyDeleteDoes stuff that's final sale on the website ever go back to being on regular (non-final) sale?
ReplyDeleteHeidi - That's too bad that your items are not in stock. I hate when you click on an image and you get that "sold out" message. It's such a tease! If you're a J.Crew stalker like me, I have items bookmarked. Usually every night I check to see if it's been restocked =)

ReplyDeleteYes - and keep refreshing the page =)
ReplyDeleteOM - final sale usually last a few weeks so they can unload merchandise. It usually happens at the end of each season. Hope this one isn't going to last too long.
Yay, I just scored a Jackie in breeze (one of my fav colors) for $30 and the perfect fit 3/4 sleeve corsage tee in bright hydrangea (another lovely color). Anyone awake who can comment on the quality of the tee? Slightly afraid it will be too short on me.
ReplyDeleteI know this is a long-shot, but I'm looking for the Dream shawl cardigan, preferably in black XS (grey/navy and sz S might also work). Especially hoping to snag this with the additional 30% off I saw in-store today. If you happen to see this anywhere, email me at simplest.is.best at gmail.com. TIA!!
ReplyDeleteI don't plan on going this weekend, but will be going on Monday to make some returns. Btw, if you are interested in the Ikat Long Halter Dress (maxi length) or Stardust pencil skirt in Copper before I take them back, I have them listed on the weekly exchange. :)
ReplyDeleteFYI: The more the website updates are discussed, the more likely it is that J.Crew will change any kind of *pattern* there is to it. It has happened before and will more than likely happen again.
FFM,
ReplyDeleteThe Ikat maxi didn't work? What what the issue? TIA
cdp: IRL the print ended up being very similar to another dress I already own, plus it's too long for me, and I don't want to wear heels with it or have it hemmed. :)
ReplyDeleteFYI Ethereal cardis are still available in blush pink and pewter online in S and M for 29.99. Run don't walk. I am OBSESSED w/these, they are gorgeous. And the Spring colors are very similar in New Arrivals for $88.
ReplyDeleteI jumped the gun -- despite my better judgement, I went into my B&M yesterday, prowling for random Christmas returns, and I found 2 that made me very happy! 2 necklaces, I know one is called the Jaipur necklace (final cost after 30% off - $20.49) and the other the Avery Rondelle necklace ($17.49). I almost fainted. I had not seen either one before but I knew enough to snatch them up first and ask questions later, LOL. I almost bought the Bal d'Hiver tee, which I've thought was so pretty even when it was full-price, but at my store it's still $34.99. Even with the extra 30% off, I found myself wondering whether there were oodles of it in anyone else's store, and if there was, maybe down the line a whole mess of them would hit eBay for cheap. Hee. I also picked up 2 Crewcuts tees for my son for $10 apiece (after the extra 30% off). I don't make a habit of buying Crew for my son (I'd be TOAST if I had a little girl!) but when the tees go on super duper sale, those I can justify. :-)
ReplyDeleteTrying to think of what else they had ... a few floral button downs, a couple of pairs of shiny gold flats, a decent amt. of matchstick cords in smaller sizes (30 and smaller), 3 or so Super 120s black dresses w/draped neckline, a few pair of the lavender flannel dot PJ pants, some fuzzy sweaters, 3 coats (all diferent colors/sizes), a few velvet blazers and that's about all I recall. Happy hunting, all!
If anybody sees the beaded ribbon-front top (19176) in 2 in their B&M, please let me know. I thought I got one through eBay and it fell through. Thanks!

Morning
ReplyDeleteI'd like to find the garland earrings, butterscotch 18015). If anyone sees a pair, would you mind posting here. No obligation.
Has anyone seen any men's scarves in-store?
Thanks
Another morning with multiple updates. Both of the wicked cute charmed mini bags are on the site now, they weren't as of 6:30 I think.
ReplyDeletesilver_lining, I was checking ebay recently "looking to find" both the chiffon and beaded bow tops. There were a few of both and now I see none of them. Seems kind of weird. I was fortunate in that a lovely JCA has sold me the beaded bow top in my size 10. Hope you find yours soon.
ReplyDeleteLooks there was just another update!!
CheesyGoodness - thanks for the tip on the charmed mini bag! I just ordered the metallic tweed one. I hope it ships and is in good shape. I've got the new tea rose mini clutch coming today - but I think it will be too small and going back.
ReplyDeleteYa, and I was in bed when the restock hit!! I am so disappointed I missed out on the Maya cardi in size XS once AGAIN :(
ReplyDeleteOh, and I'm not going to B&M this weekend. My SA said to hold off until end of January when they will be getting new items.
ReplyDeleteI know there is someone here who loves the Honey Glaze-colored cardigans -- eBay seller dayoldbread has one in a size M. HTHs someone.

ReplyDeleteSilverLining: I still have the NWT Beaded Ribbon Front Top in a size 2 at a lower price.
ReplyDeleteI was going to repost on this Monday's exchange.
Contact me if you're interested.

Does anyone know if the B&Ms are still offering a percentage off sale merchandise? I know it's mostly gone but was considering checking it out at lunchtime...
ReplyDeleteDara, my B&M is still offering an extra 30% off sale items, they're all final sale. HTHs.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Elaine! I will definitely check it out in that case :)
ReplyDeleteHoping for some good returns I can snatch up...
If any JCAs are interested in searching for great items at Land's End like Summer and I this weekend, here are a couple codes for you. I just used the 2nd one to get ponte knit capris, a ponte dress, a beaded critter tee, and 2 cute scarves for $80:
ReplyDeleteSAVE10 pin 7806 ... for EXTRA 10% off sale
TENOFF pin 7041 .... for EXTRA 10% off sale plus free shipping over $50
With all due respect on the issue of "giving away our secrets" on this blog, perhaps we need to balance our fears of Big Brother watching with the very sincere desire to give info and help each other out! I would be sad to feel the need to censor such things.
if anyone sees the alpaca shawl cardigan in medium, fawn color, please let me know. i missed out on buying it by seconds. it was in my cart, i went to pay and gone!
ReplyDeletethanks!
Ruffles,
ReplyDeleteHi, Happy Friday to you. Have you gotten any of the LE beaded critter tees or is this the first of them for you? They are cute:) I ordered some as gifts for next year already as I have them:) Let me know what you think of yours if you don't have one yet...
Ruffles,
ReplyDeletePS. What scarves did you get? I ordered some too a few weeks ago and just wondered:)
sklee: I have the Alpaca sweater in Fawn, size medium, NWT sitting in a box waiting to be returned. It's yours if you want it. I purchased it for purchased at $59.99 + 6% MD sales tax. I stalked it for a while too but medium is too big for me.
ReplyDeleteI have it in a small in black and absolutely love it with my toothpick cords and boots. I have a gray one size small but am returning it too.
justvisiting01@hotmail.com
I got the seaglass gown recently on pop back. I love it. Fits great BUT it is LONG. I am 5'9 and It drags on the floor. I cannot wear heels and need to get it hemmed. I have never had to have a dress hemmed except my wedding dress. Any tips on how to find a good person to do this?
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteHi Summer! I ordered the LE beaded penguin and the beaded polar bear, I love the loft and heavier weight of the LE tees vs. JC. And 12.99 - 10%? How can you resist? Re: scarves, floral fringed in yellow (I have navy, LOVE) and plaid in red and park green.
ReplyDeleteI hope other JCAs discover some of these LE items, and the ponte knits, they are so well made and add a little variety to my closet : )
Re: FFM very early this morning and others.
ReplyDeleteThe link between cause and effect more often than not is imaginary.
My point? Sure, someone at J Crew might change the time of updates because of comments posted on the Internet. Then again, perhaps the time change is because of something else.
To me -- and I don't mean to be rude or unkind, I'd just like to make a point -- there doesn't seem to be a link. After all, J Crew is in the business of selling stuff. I would think that anything that gets helps get the stuff out the door (such as info posted on a web site) simply would be gravy to the company.
On the other hand, what do I know? Again, I'd like to say that I'm not being nasty. Or at least not intentionally!
PS: I apologize for the rough sentence in graph four. Poor editing on my part. Writing is all about rewriting, after all! I'd apologize again, but that would be overkill!
ReplyDeleteOne more thing, Ruffles, I agree with you.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure the 99 change was entirely due to the chit-chat on this blog. I've notice that many other on-line retailers restrict the number of items that you can put in your basket at anyone time. The Gap/BR/ON site limits you to 5 items and has for a long time.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if ebay resellers purchase from the website or not, but if they do, then the change may limit the amount of bulk buying that may happen at the expense of regular customers during % off/FS promotions. Just a thought.

ReplyDeleteLook for the sequin bow top in a 6 if anyone sees one please email me atr Itsmelealee@gmail.com Thanks so much Debra
ReplyDeleteI live in CA and by about 9:45pm PST the sale section has refreshed every day this week. I have snagged so many things I have missed out on before!
ReplyDeleteWhat's so wrong with sharing this? Is that not why we all FLOCK to this blog?
Secretive JCAs are, IMO just selfish (typical competitive female streak). So what if JC reads this blog and makes adjustments. We'll just share the new refresh pattern too!
This blog is a RETAILERS DREAM and beats any survey they could put out, its volumes of in-depth and free information directly from their customer base. So if they use it to their advantage so should we!
Just my frank opinion.
Hi Ruffles and Rip-A-Roo! I think it is great that all the JCAs help each other! This blog, as well as all of the other J.Crew related blogs are a great resource, especially since ordering online from J.Crew is such a *hit or miss* situation anymore. Sharing sizing information, quality issues, the items available in the stores, and reviews of merchandise are great...discussing the website updates not so much, IMO. It is very possible that changes occurring (over the past year) on the website shortly after discussions here are merely coincidence, but why take the chance? It is a known fact that J.Crew reads this blog and more than likely gathers information from what is posted.
ReplyDeleteAs O'DubhGhaill said, everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I respect both of yours. My comments were not meant to be rude or confrontational, so I hope they did not come across that way. :)
Ibi, how are you getting so lucky? I've been online about that time almost every night this week and the website updates with the pages of items that will be restocked, but there's no inventory for me to buy. I'm glad you're successful!!
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteDesert Flower,
ReplyDeleteI have an old search link bookmarked and just go back to it every time.
What it does show is often not visible in the sale section. Odd but true. Last night at about 9:47pm the sweater section (includes both sale and FP) showed 133 items, this morning its down to 107.
Also I am a web designer/developer and trust me to change inventory and refresh patterns for a site of this magnitude is no easy feat. I believe the changes in refresh time have to do with the outfit they use to manage the back end (if they don't do it themselves)and can't just be done on the fly. I doubt that it is entirely automated and there are web developers who work the graveyard shift!
Hope this helps...
Ruffles - thanks for sharing the codes for LE!
ReplyDeleteOn balance, I think most people 'flock' to this virtual market square to exchange info and help out each other. It would defeat the purpose then if more people kept 'secrets' to themselves. Ok, off the soapbox.:)
Thank you, Ibi! Great information. I am going to go into my search with renewed vigor :)
ReplyDeleteIf you don't have a bookmark you can usually google one. Sometimes you can get a link from this blog or another blog as well, there are often links to the product pages in a review post. Sometimes the older or out of stock items won't come up with the link, or the picture is a broken link, but it's worth a try. Often I will just google an item that is mentioned and use the link, rather than go to the jcrew website and click on the category or search.
ReplyDeleteibi - maybe graveyard shift here. In India or Malaysia it's prime working hours. ;)
I did a paper on JCREW before, and JCREW is one of those companies that pride themselves in bringing the jobs to Americans. At that time, they mentioned something about not outsourcing. I don't know if that has changed.
ReplyDeleteOn the note of nightly updates, I've been able to score so many older items (ie. black galaxy necklace) that I missed before by the method lbi mentioned. Surprisingly, most of them are not final sale.
ReplyDeleteHi lbi! Thank you for your input on the refresh...I appreciate hearing about it from someone who has knowledge in that field. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that the blogs have to be a retailers dream. Unfortunately many of us on here have seen changes take place that were not for the better, and that is where any concern on making certain statements comes from. I should not have said *updates* in my previous post, because there isn't any reason the times shouldn't be shared. It is other certain statements made here and there that could potentially be damaging to all of us as a whole. If everyone could take a minute to consider whether or not their comment could have negative effects for us all, that would be great. :)
This is not stated out of nastiness, selfishness, or being competitive, but merely out of concern for all of us.
Courtney, I don't know how much of J.Crew's clothing is still made in the U.S. as some used to be so for them to say they are bringing jobs to Americans is a bit of a stretch. I believe the call centers are in the U.S., which is refreshing and maybe that is what they mean, but I think that anything that is transparent to the customer is potentially offshored.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'm wrong and in that case I would be delighted.
Green dino, thanks for the tip!
ReplyDeletejcrew22, Don't know about the cardi, but Nico is cute. SHORT but cute
Ruffles, did you size down in those cutie LE shirts?

ReplyDeleteDear FFM,
ReplyDeleteNo harm meant. My original choice of words was probably not the best, but a reaction to, and directed at the person who said -
"I would like to second what FFM has been very politely posting. Please keep certain things to yourself!!! Thank you."
Well I am off to my B&M. Have a super weekend all.
XOXO,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the clarifications. :) The call center is what they meant. I went back & checked the paper that I wrote in 2004.
Courtney
If anyone sees the wool duffle coat in a 0 or 2, I'd be so grateful if you could let me know :) Thanks!
ReplyDeleteJust visited my B&M - some great scores to be had in the surprisingly full sale section at 45th & Madison. They had a whole bin of Gunmetal matelassé skirts ($69.99 after discount) and Frosted jacquard pencil skirts in both colors and assorted sizes, and still plenty of Evies, Gypsy rose camis and melon Annalise camis. What excited me most, though, was a full table of bling button cardis, still ringing up at $54.99 but they honored the online price of $39.99 PLUS 30% off sale so they came to $27 each. Also a big table of cute flannel pj pants in assorted patterns on sale for about $20 each after the 30% discount. A number of sale scarves too. Didn't see any sale or returned jewelry, but based on the rest of the selection I would say it is definitely worth checking out.
ReplyDeleteI'm now hiding my J.Crew card from myself until resort sale :)
I forgot to mention pants! Two big racks of corduroys and other goodies :)
ReplyDeleteMommydearest, in my experience, LE runs big. I typically wear a S or 2-4 in JC and I order an XS or Petite XS in LE.
ReplyDeleteCourtney: Yep, the call center is good ole USA, in Virginia, in fact. I often will get into (kind of) long conversations with the folks who answer the phones about VA related stuff--schools, weather, politics, etc. I try not to tie them up and usually I have to go because I have to go get my kids up from their naps or whatever, but it is really nice to be in the same time zone (and state) as the people at J. Crew. :) From what I can tell, the call center people like having a tiny break when they are talking to me about all this snow we're getting...
ReplyDeleteWhich leads me to thank you all for your reports. So sad, our road was frozen over and my hubby wouldn't let me take the kids to the mall to return stuff--so I have to live vicariously through this post. :)
I am hoping {fingers crossed} to visit at least one b&m this weekend! I am also hopeful that they will continue the 30% sale items! Well, that's if there's anything good left! =P
ReplyDeleteI am desperatly seeking the Stretch Flannel Olive Top (heather cardbon) in a size 8, 10, or 12!! If anyone spots one at their b&m or has one that they would like to sell (or trade for my size 6) PLEASE let me know! EUC is fine as well! :)
~Have a wonderful weekend ladies~
But the clothes are made in China (of some US fabrics)
ReplyDeleteLong shot but I am also looking for the beaded ribbon-front top in size 0 or 2. smu_sweetheart@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteAnybody saw bags/clutches at the B&Ms? I want to get the Ryder Hobo, but don't know whether it's too big.
ReplyDeleteI spoke to a CS from Iowa yesterday, so JC has call centers allover the US.
ReplyDeleteGreat discussion! I'm all for sharing secrets and helping each other out, but could some info make JC change something we don't want changed? Definitely something to think about.
ReplyDeleteScarlet--
ReplyDeleteI saw either a black or wild blackberry wool duffle in a 2 last week at the Huntington Station, NY location. Might be worth a call. Good luck!
There are plenty of Sienna fringed moccasin booties in size 7 at the Madison & 45 St store. Just got one @ $34.99 (after the 30% off)!
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteI am looking for the Sienna fringed moccassins in size 11 for the great sale price mentioned above if anyone sees any...thanks.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ruffles! That has been my experience too with LE sizing.
ReplyDeleteBluenana - thanks! I called that store yesterday but they're already sold out :( Should've posted for JCA eagle eye help earlier. Thanks again though..
ReplyDeleteMommydearest--where is the NJ concept store located?
ReplyDeleteWent to Easton Town Center (Columbus, Ohio) tonight. They had alot of the new pullover shirts, the nico skirt the ruffle dress... What I was surprised about was the Elizabeth blouse is $89.50 in store but $59.99 online. Sale section was 30% off final sale. I almost bought a Heather hydrangea cashmere t but when I tried it on it was too big. I have cashmere t's from previous years and they don't fit like this one. SA said this year's t's ran big. A little too big in the shoulders but definitely too wide in the body. There were at least a dozen t's and several turtlenecks. Mostly smalls - no extra smalls - a few mediums and larges.
ReplyDeleteDoes this year's cashmere run large in all styles or just the tee's? I have my eye on the cabin pullover but it's FS and I'm afraid to pull the trigger if all sweaters are running large. Thank you!
crewcrazy, I think the cashmere sizing is all over the place this yr(as is most of their sizing). I tried the henley- tts, but had to exchange all the popovers I ordered for a smaller size, the gray popover was at least 2 sizes larger than stated size and the sweet guava was one size too large!!! they were both labeled M. Just call CS and ask them if they know how the sizing is running. I wouldn't trust the measurements they give you though, since that is what they gave me and wouldn't you know- the measurements on the henley in M and the ones for the popover in M were the same! yeah, right
ReplyDeleteMommydearest, ITA about the Banquette dress? WTH would a suiting dress be cut with a neckline so low? I haven't tried the Carlyle on in person but it looks like it has the same problem, as do the Metro and the Papillon. I have to assume that most of the women buying a suiting dress 1) are doing so for work and 2) work in a conservative rather than a creative or relaxed environment, and thus can't wear a dress cut so low. The last few years I've bought two or three JC suiting dresses per season but haven't picked one up in almost a year now due to this problem.
ReplyDeleteJust came from the 5th Avenue B&M in NYC and they had a pretty well stocked sale section. All sale items are an additional 30% off. Some things I saw:
ReplyDelete--Lots of bling button cardis in all colors and sizes--$59.99
--Rack full of bal d'hiver tees--$34.99
--Rack full of the black tee with the reindeer head--didn't catch the price
--gold metallic crackle clutches (not quite the right name, sorry)--$49.99, I think
--Plenty of Eden blazers in the wine color, mostly 6s and 8s--$89.99
--A few black ruffle front coats--$179.99
--A few taupe peacoats--didn't catch the price
--A rack full of ivory sherpa hoodies--$49.99
--Lots of PJ bottoms
Hope this helps someone. Good hunting!
If anyone sees a Gunmetal Matelassé Skirt in a size 0, please let me know :) I was only able to grab a size 2 online :(
ReplyDeleteThanks!
I'm in search of Scout Tuxedo Chinos in size 2...if you see any at your B&M please let me know. TIA!
ReplyDeletejcrewphd@gmail.com
Jcrew22, I sized down in the long beach cardigan, the navy is really pretty and versatile. It is not cozy soft like Heidi stated, but it's difinitely not rough. The Nico skirt I tried on. It was ok, the fabric was nice. Didn't care for the elastic waist band though. The faded black looks faded black, definitely not black, black. It is also pretty short, and I am only 5'3". HTH.
ReplyDeleteTracey the concept store is at Garden state plaza, paramus
ReplyDeletevery cool store, they have all the new stuff. i have been in there when they are putting out the new stuff. lots of people running around setting it up.
lots of shoes/bags
just remember no sunday shopping up here
tiffanyrose, you should give the 45th & Madison store a call (347 Madison Ave) in NYC - they had a whole bunch yesterday and I was able to find a 0. I bet they have more. HTH!
ReplyDeleteYep, missed the restock last night. I'm becoming a virtual insomniac trying to catch it. Must have happened between 4 and 6 a.m. eastern, and of course I missed the XS maya cardigans. If you see them in amber and soft blossom in XS, buy them for me!! I'm good for it, I will Paypal you immediatlely. Obsessed does not begin to describe . . .
ReplyDeleteDara, thanks so much!! I'll call!
ReplyDeleteDesert Flower, if it makes you feel any better ... think I was there for the restock last night / this morning and there were no mayas in XS or I would have grabbed it for you.
Desert Flower: The update was closer to 6:30 this morning. I checked the Mayas for you but there weren't any in XSmall. Have you considered asking one of the CSR's or a PS if they will do a WWFI search for you? I know they've searched for sale items before so maybe they'll do it again?
ReplyDeleteDara, I called and the SA said they were all gone :( Oh well. But thanks so much for thinking of me!!
ReplyDeleteDoes anybody remember who wanted the stone necklace tee in XS (she had received it as gift but it had missing stones)? I grabbed it last night for her but if I remembered correctly, she was returning to England so I might end up with an extra ...
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeletetiffany rose: It was Kayko, and her email is:
ReplyDeletekaykony@gmail.com
Desert Flower,
ReplyDeleteDon't beat yourself up over finding the Maya cardi. I had been stalking it too but I'm on East coast time so I guess it was a little easier for me. In the many times I saw it popback, only once did an x-small show up. I bit the bullet last week and ordered it in a size small even though I am a size 0/x-small. The larger size didn't make a significant difference to me. It is a little roomier but the twist in front drapes nicely. Sizing up is always another option but you may be apprehensive to do so. Just my opinions but best of luck to you and your search :)
Thanks, Michelle. That's nice of you to say :) I wonder if you would mind emailing me and giving me some measurements from your size small? mrsnonia@aol.com
ReplyDeleteThanks, FFM. I'll send her a note to see if she'd like it when I get it. Otherwise, I'll have a backup for when I wear out mine ;)
ReplyDeleteDesert Flower,
ReplyDeleteI have a maya cardi, amber, in a S, that I might be returning. I got a M in the same color as a popback this week. So if it fits alright I'll return the small. Let me know if you are interested.
Pakola, thank you! Definitely interested. Email me at mrsnonia@aol.com.
ReplyDeleteI was up in the "big city" for a seminar so I hit the Bellevue (WA) store on the way back. Very meager pickings. Sometimes one finds sale items in various parts of the store but they were all crammed in the back. Lots of tees--can't remember the name but had kind of a starburst on one shoulder. A rack full of matchstick and toothpick cords at $29.99 less 30%, but none in my size, alas.
ReplyDeleteThe front of the store was . . . empty. Srsly. They had stuff on the tables directly in the entry, but once I was in I could see that entire walls were literally empty.
Smaller inventory may be the result of better business practices, but the empty walls were not attractive--a sad "going-out-of business" vibe.
Also, even allowing for resort time, just about all the new items were WAY too summery--few to no transitional items, nothing I could wear right now. I'd been planning to spend my next rewards card on the stained glass cardi, but found it to be bland and washed-out IRL.
So, I walked out empty-handed.
Hexicon, Bellevue was empty today? They were empty on that side last week too. I took as they were unpacking new stock. I'm sure the lease on Bel Square is expensive, I wonder if they're closing?
ReplyDeletetiffany rose: I saw a Gunmetal Matelassé Skirt in a size 0 at the MOA store in MN today! There # is 952-814-7419. Good luck!! :)
ReplyDeleteSummer, I saw the shoes you want in size 11 at the Seattle store, dowtown as of last night.
ReplyDeleteElizabeth, I don't think that they're literally going out of business, but the shelves/walls were shockingly empty. IMO it looked really "off" . . . unprofessional for lack of a better word.
ReplyDeleteI too am desperate for some Maya cardis in XS.
ReplyDeletePakcola- if you're small amber Maya goes unclaimed, I'd definitely be interested. Thanks!
Dindin,
ReplyDeleteThanks. I will give them a call. They were on sale then? Did you happen to see the color? Thanks for the post.
Hexicon - I too was at Bell Sq on Sat and was surprised by all of the empty racks. I also thought it looked like a store at the end of a going-out-of-business run. They need some new stock pronto!
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone have the woold bistro skirt and could comment if it runs TTS? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteA bit off topic but does anyone know if there is any chance of returning something ordered online during FS? Yikes!
ReplyDeleteAny advice would be GREATLY appreciated!
Just came back from Lake Grove NY B+M. Add 30% off all prices below for final sale:
ReplyDelete- Velvet Edens $89.99 all size 8
- Cream Evies $19.99
- Boot cut cords $19.99 all sizes
- Sequin tuxedo cardi $69.99 sizes 4-10
Also scored a Sherpa hoodie in Grey XS for $39.99 plus 30%. Yee-ha!
@jcrewphd - There was a stack of scout tuxedo chinos at the bottom shelf of the sale table - I think they were $29.99 plus 30% off final sale. The only sizes missing were 00 and 0. Good luck!
Sunny, this skirt runs TTS in my opinion but be aware that it's pretty short.
ReplyDeleteMMM: I called and they only had a couple of size 4 left. The SA was super nice though and YOU are super nice for being so thoughtful and helpful!! Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteFFM: Kayko was able to find one on eBay but thanks for passing on her email AND remembering who it was.
Let's see ... what else can we find for each other ;)
Also, if anyone is looking for a nice pair of black boots, the B&M located in Center City Philadelphia had a pair of black Templetons in a size 8. They are still full price online but $124.99 before the additional 30% off.
ReplyDeleteOh - and there were also 2 Stretch Flannel Olive tops in size 4 for $39.99 plus $30% final sale at the Lake Grove NY B+M.
ReplyDeleteSorry MMM - I double checked, no other sizes. :(
tiffany rose: So sorry to hear that they didn't have any 0's left! :( [I'm going to send you PM on Polyvore.]
ReplyDeletePansy: You are too sweet~ Thank you soooo much for checking! ;)
You gals are the GREATEST!!!
Not sure if anyone is interested but the Jakarta Halter Dress in bronzed twig is available on the site if you search on "Jakarta".
ReplyDeleteDiana-
ReplyDeleteI would suggest listing your item on the JCA exchange tomorrow. I've only been allowed to return 1 final sale item which was damaged.
Hope this helps!
Pink Cupcake - thanks for the advice! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Michelle!
ReplyDeleteMommy dearest - Thanks for the tip on the earrings. Everyone is so helpful.
ReplyDeleteI spoke with one of the personal shoppers at my local B&M and she said new arrivals are expected on 1.25.10. :)
ReplyDeleteFFM are you saying the stores are going to remain empty for another two weeks??? Wow. Happy for them that they can afford mall leases with no stock to sell. Bellevue Square is not a cheap mall.
ReplyDeleteElizabeth: According to the PS at my store that's the way it sounds. I asked her when they would be getting the new arrivals and she said on the 25th of this month. I wonder though, if they will decide to bring in the new merchandise early since there isn't anything left in the stores?
ReplyDeleteI was at the J.Crew in Tampa today and it was pretty bare. Even the SA seemed kind of embarrassed that there wasn't much left to choose from, and commented about how awkward it is to see stores like LOFT filled with merchandise and lots of customers while they aren't very busy at all.
In the sale section there was a Panneau cami in Dark Charcoal size 6, but it looked like the tie on it was missing. There was one Cinnamon Spice Annalise cami, size 10, boot cut cords in size 12 and 14, one Crinkle Cascade dress size 14 in the Black Plum color, a large cheetah calf hair belt, and the porcelain reindeer tees in S, M, and Large. All of it was 30% off and Final Sale.
the chestnut hill store in ma had some swim pieces out, but was otherwise barebones. i did pick up the super 120s metro dress in black on sale at 69.99 with extra 30% off. was a steal. if anyone is interested, there's another in size 12.
