J.Crew Factory is offering 30% off sale items with promo code GETMORE. This offer expires February 12, 2013. The fine print includes:
**Offer valid on the purchase of final sale items at jcrewfactory.com from February 5, 2013, 12:01am ET through February 12, 2013, 11:59pm ET. Offer not valid in J.Crew or J.Crew Factory stores, at jcrew.com or on phone orders. Offer cannot be applied to previous purchases or the purchase of gift cards and cannot be redeemed for cash. To redeem, enter code GETMORE in the promo code box at checkout. Limit one promo code per order. Offer valid in the U.S. and Canada only. Terms of offer are subject to change. It is always nice to see another promo over at J.Crew Factory! :) While I am writing, I am surprised there is not another additional percent of sale over at regular J.Crew. Especially since they still have a lot of Final Sale merchandise to move. It just seems like customers would be happier and more merchandise will sell with an additional percent off. Just a thought...
What I really like about J.Crew Factory is their "outfit obsessions" section (click here to check it out). I have to say, all of these twelve outfits are simply put together, but how they look together! They definitely represent a style I want to see more of- clean, classic, and stylish.
Will you be taking advantage of this promo? Are you loving the "outfit obsessions" section from J.Crew? Did you pick up an item or two? Please share! :)
While I think the quality is better at J Crew, I think Factory styling and price point is a better fit for my wallet. I can justify full price or promo price without an additional percentage off, whereas I have to be a sale shopper at J Crew on most items. Plus I like the cleaner, preppier, less "hipster" vibe I get from the Factory. Pieces are similar but I feel like the look of the models more closely resembles my own--for instance, they comb their hair and don't wear Jenna-inspired goggles.
ReplyDeleteI bit...again. Purchased three Dorset bags (~$38 after promo), the gold and crystal link bracelet, the pearl/crystal cuff bracelet, and the crystal petal stud earrings. I've spent way too much on "great deals" at the Factory lately. On the bright side, however, I do have several 20% off/$125 purchase coupons if anyone needs one.
ReplyDeletehi! great finds! would you mind sending me one of the coupons? nashmash131 at gmail dot com. thank you very much!
DeleteElizabethM, would love to have one of those coupons, please. pgr001@gmail.com
DeleteI would LOVE one if you still have any! There are definitely a few items I would love to get.

Hi ElizabethM, I would love to have a coupon if you have any left. My email is stylishchemist at gmail dot com
DeleteElizabethM, do you know if the dorset can be worn crossbody? I've seen different comments but no pictures or reviews. Thanks very much!
DeleteElizabeth, I would love a coupon too if I'm not too late - lizschmitt07 at gmail dot com
DeleteNot to mention that the model is gorgeous and has a great smile! And her hair is not a mess. Love the styling :-)
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know if this sale going on in store as well? Thank you.
ReplyDeleteHi Nandy,
DeleteThe header specifically says "online only".
Thanks for reminding me to read the details, Phur! I usually look at the % discount and get all excited! :-)
DeleteSometimes the prices are better in store. Haven't been to the outlet mall in a long time. I think I'm due for a visit!
DeleteI am liking the factory quality more and more. I've always liked their cotton tees, as they are sturdier.
ReplyDeleteSome older reviews here.
Elizabeth, thanks for mentioning the Dorset bag, it did not show up under Final Sale. I purchased one and also a shirt that ended up being $17 and not final sale.
ReplyDeleteanyone tried the j.crew factory scalloped shift dress? (http://factory.jcrew.com/womens-clothing/dresses/PRDOVR~42094/42094.jsp) it looks great on the model in their 'outfit obsessions' section but the product image is only 'eh'
ReplyDeleteChristine, this looks like a re-do of a retail dress which, if I recall correctly, did not get good reviews from the JCAs. I can't remember exactly why, but I think it had to do with the shape/fit. Maybe someone else can chime in.
DeleteCate, good memory! it's the Circle Eyelet Dress. http://www.jcrew.com/womens_category/Collection/dresses/PRDOVR~72731/72731.jsp
Deletethank you, cate and rosie!! i will research this dress further :)
DeleteI love the jacket in that last picture and picked it up with the FACEBOOK promo code a little while back. It's the same silhouette as the Terrazzo Tweed retail jacket but without some of the details. Fabric may be different too, I am not sure, but I am very happy with it at the discounted price.
ReplyDeleteI got a printed button down for $17 and skinny cords for $14. I also ordered the pearl multi strand necklace which isn't final sale but I've been lusting for and is back ordered until mid March.
ReplyDeletemasha n: Not sure if the Dorset can be worn crossbody. The description says the strap drop is 21." I poked around a bit on eBay to see if I could find some additional photos of an actual bag, and some of them show/describe it as a crossbody.
ReplyDeleteJRSConifer: The Factory site is a mess, IMO. It is impossible to find anything. Half the stuff on FS doesn't show up in the FS section. You have to almost know what you're looking for and then use the search function to find it. The Dorset bag is a perfect example. Go to the Women's section and click on the handbag category. Nothing. Go to the Sale section and click on the handbag category. Nothing. Type "Dorset" in the search box. Boom. There they are.
Just an FYI. Because every item name on the factory site seems to start with "factory," I typed that into the search box and many items popped up that don't appear on the site normally, including sale items that the promo applies to. Hope this helps someone!
ReplyDeleteGreat tip!
DeleteOT but is anyone else confused by the Factory Paulina Pump? $108 for a "patent polyurethane upper" seems crazy to me!
Alexis, that was my thought as well! The looks still feel fresh and modern, but are not overdone. I would wear most of those outfits, whereas I'm pretty much only buying individual pieces and styling them myself these days from regular J.Crew. (I used to copy their outfits verbatim, I admit!)
