This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale
items at our
various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If
you are stopped
by a J.Crew store this past weekend
to see what's available (if
anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS
{sigh!} in person, maybe you
might be willing to
share that with us in this post. In
particular, if you could share
with us a few of the noteworthy items
that are available, at what
prices, and potential sizes the
store is carrying (as well as the
store location)- that would be
fantastic!
Also, please
let us know if your local store
was/ is carrying an additional
percent off sale. Thanks in
advance!!! :)
I did make a trip to the clearance store...I got a pair of the navy suede Laila wedge sandals, a navy washed cotton trench, navy polka dot bermuda shorts, the vintage plaid shirt dress, navy striped Saint James tee, gingham crinkle shirt in coral and the long-sleeve one-piece swimsuit in multistripe. The swimsuit was a total surprise love for me. When I walked in at 10:03am, there were already a couple of customers and one of them had already plucked up the vintage plaid dress to try on. I played it cool but as soon as she hung it back, it was mine. It does run big as reviewers have stated but I didn't think it was thin as some have said. I think it would be a great swimsuit cover up.
ReplyDeletei get way too envious of your buys. I am so pathetic. C

DeleteIs this the clearance store in VA? Does it have hours every day? Curious if you think they are worth the trip! It would be about 2 hours for me.
DeleteI go to the clearance store in Arden, N.C. but the store in Lynchburg has regular hours as well. I think 10-8 Monday through Saturday and 12-6 on Sunday. It takes me about an hour and 40 minutes to get there but yes, it is well worth the trip. All of the above was less than $200.00. I can tell you that I could not afford to buy all this at retail prices. The prices at the Arden store are routinely about 75% of full retail price, sometimes 80 or 90% off depending on promotions at the store. You do need to go with an open mind but knowing the merchandise helps a lot. Being a J.Crew fanatic, helps me shop better and sort of know what I am getting and looking for.
Deleteawesome - thank you for sharing!
DeleteI was in the Lynchburg clearance store last Friday and would def recommend it. Everything well organized (jeans with jeans, pants with pants etc) and sizes sorted as well. So you can do a 'targeted search' and see quickly what there is on offer. Like DD I spent about $260 for what would have been $1500 retail price originally.
DeleteFor us it was a bit of a drive too, but so worth it!
Went to retail store, they had 40% off final sale. Snagged a few good finds - micropleated midi (love it!), some short sleeve painter tees, and the summerweight sweater (e9575) was a total surprise love. Also got a couple tees and other items on regular promo (25% off). After I left and was walking around the mall and I checked my receipt and they didn't give me the 40% off sale! Ugh, this has happened before. Had to hike back to the store and get all prices adjusted ($80 difference!). I'm so dumb I should have learned by now to pay closer attention when they are ringing me up.
ReplyDeleteAlso very glad I follow the website so closely as it's easier to tell where to get the better deal. For example, sunday slim chinos were full price in store and they are sale priced online with extra % off right now.
Has anyone washed the long sleeve maxi? My usual size fits perfectly but...does it shrink?
ReplyDeleteWashed mine and threw it in the dryer. It did not shrink and shape held up nicely.
DeleteThe summerweight sweaters are wonderfully soft and I love the colors...wash up well to. Fit is TTS.

ReplyDeleteHow did you wash yours? I have one and am wondering if I can machine wash it or if it's better to hand wash. thanks!
