Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. Has anyone tried the Gemma leather flower flats? The color is called "sea salt" and they have brass studs in each Daisy. The Gemmas I've tried fit a little wide on me but I really love these and they'd make good use of my rewards card.
I also like the studded lace up gladiators in black.

    1. @Suz Has, JCA milljcrew has featured them on her Insta (they look very pretty!) so hopefully she can chime in about the fit info. I have the Leopard Gemma and just recently bought the Striped Navy/White ones -- I take the same size as I do in Dulcis (i.e, half size down than my usual) but I did find the Striped Gemmas to fit a little wider on me than the leopards. (Added stick-on heel catchers to combat that issue.)

    2. Hi @Suz Has I love the flower Gemma's, so spring/summer! I took my normal size, I find the Gemma's fit me tts. They are extremely comfortable. HTH!

    3. Ok, they seem to run a little big/wide on me. They're so great though, if an 8.5 pops back ill try them.

    2. Not yet. I am keeping my fingers crossed, maybe today. I started to call and check but I am afraid it will draw attention so I decided just to wait...I was afraid they would look at the price and freak out and cancel. :)

  5. No store trip for me, but I did place an order online this morning. I'm finally going to give the Teddie pants a try (black & navy), plus I threw in the Marlo leopard crossbody to reach the free shipping threshold. I went with the smaller of my two pant sizes for the teddies, since reviews said they stretch out with wear. Really hoping everything works out.

  6. I finally decided to wear my gingham sloans in my regular size 10 today and that was actually the right size. They are the tiniest bit big but 1/2 size down was just too uncomfortably small. So glad I picked these up because they go with everything. Today's outfit is the dutch floral sweatshirt, polka dot midi, and gingham sloans. I may or may not have gotten a few looks about my mix of patterns ;)

  9. I stopped earlier for returns. SA told me that new items will be in store this Monday. Sale section had an additional 50% ( plenty of merchandise .. so much so that it was hard to browse.. )I ended up grabbing the linen shirt in emerald @24.99 .

  11. Does anyone know what the tuscan olive color looks like IRL? Is it olive, army green, pea green, etc.? I'm interested in getting the short-sleeve popover in that color, but would love to hear thoughts from someone who has seen it in person prior to ordering.

    1. I saw the color in the linen cable crewneck and the linen shorts.
I would say it is true olive.

  13. I went in today and they had 25% off regular priced purchase and 50% off sale items (that's here in Alberta not sure about other provinces).

    1. @j.elle, wow that's great! I called a Toronto store and they said 25% off only on the same items as online. Alberta has a better deal, I wonder if any store in Ontario is doing that?

  14. 50% off sale sucked me in through the doors at the Sherway Gardens location yesterday. There must actually have been a whooshing sound. Lots of lightweight sweaters, and a good assortment of dresses, skirts and shirts. Came away with the ornate lace midi, a pair of toothpicks, the grommet chambray top, and the gingham pleated skirt. Didn't think I'd like the gingham skirt, but once I sized up to get it to a reasonable length on me, it worked. It can't be washed or dry cleaned thanks to the fabric sizing used to fix the pleats - but I will wash it at some point, and it will still be a wearable skirt, without pleats. For $38 I'll live with it. Exited to another whooshing sound, of my bank account once again pumping $ into J Crew's bottom line...

    1. Looks beautiful, Rynetta! I was worried about the pintucking poofing out, glad to hear it didn't on you. Did you find the slits high, I was worried about that too. :) Thx!

    2. jan: thanks SO much! I don't think that the slot is too high at all!

  16. That's a cute skirt, Rynetta. It looks very nice on you. What cracks me up is that J Crew is calling it pintucked. It's not pintucked - it's got pleats at the waist. They don't have their sewing terminology down.

    1. Thank you! It drives me crazy when clothing companies don't even know the correct terms for things. Anyone can see that is not pintucked. I wonder why they don't use the proper terms? They actually have meaning, and especially in the arena of online shopping, the names of things should be descriptors of the actual item you are purchasing. Many may not care, but some do. You would think there would be more attention to detail among people in the "business."

    2. Vava: thanks for the compliment. It's a great skirt.

  17. A little OT, but after seeing how fabulous the long sleeve striped maxi dress looked on so many of you, I grabbed it for myself to wear to an awards dinner for my daughter's dance team. I'd love to hear thoughts on what shoes to wear with it as it's pretty chilly here this weekend, sadly. Thick chunky sandals look great, but not sure I want to wear open toes. Thoughts?

    2. I could see with an Ballet flat or even an Oxford. (I have a white brogue type Oxford that would look really cute with it if you like a menswear inspired shoe). So much depends on your personal style!

    3. If you have some Seville espadrilles, it looks great with those!

    4. Love the beige boot idea! I have a pair from Madewell. And yes, I did think the Sevilles would look great, but don't have a pair. Don't think I could pull off a brogue, but it would look fab. Thanks for all the ideas!

  18. I may drop by the Factory store instead this weekend.
