    1. I'm pretty sure ontario stores are charging 13% too instead of 5%. I just noticed that and was wondering if it was a one off. Thanks for posting this I wonder what they're going to do.

    2. This has been happening since Borderfree started shipping for them. I ordered some items last August and it happened then, as well as last month.
They say they are working on it! Maybe it's time to send Mickey an email and let him know, wish I had head office email or phone number!

Simple email organized with bullet points is recommended

Point out that what they are doing is a violation of Canadian tax law, and puts the company at risk

  2. Factory double-serge cotton pencil skirt: Website says the petite version is 19.5" long, but the skirt I received was just under 18" in length. I contacted CS and they claimed length varies by size and the 19.5" is only for size 6P, other sizes will be shorter or longer. Really? I've never run into this at Factory or retail, and there's no indication online that length would vary significantly with size. I certainly don't get any taller or shorter if my weight fluctuates!

    1. Typically with any brand the length of an item will vary slightly based on it being a smaller or larger size...not sure the rhyme or reason but it is the norm.

  3. Oh that J. Crew credit card. I hope J. Crew's contract ends with Comenity and they can choose a different provider. Or that Comenity will actually get with the times. The website information in my account never makes sense to me, visually. It also doesn't reflect my true credit availability. It's like the thing is always behind in updates, no matter what hour I check. I can't even figure out if I earned an reward or not. Is it that difficult or am I just blocking because I'm irritated?

    1. And I'll bet they constantly answer the same questions over and over. Questions that wouldn't be necessary if they would update the program.

    2. Worst ever. JC must have contracted for the lowest service level possible. Next to impossible to reconcile actual store receipts or web orders with Comenity account entries. And this from a "data-driven" merchant.

  4. OMG, remember the whole gingham cashmere sweater thing from last week...Well, my sweater still hasn't shipped because it is coming from a retail store but they haven't located it yet. I found one within five minutes at a store in Atlanta myself. After I explained and forwarded my order confirmation, they agreed to send the one they had at they and matched the "glitch" price. Now, I am sure the other one will ship but at least I know I have one coming. CS wanted me to wait until Monday to see if it shipped but there was no way I was taking a chance. I really wanted that sweater especially at that price.

    1. Mine took forever to ship... ordered it the morning of the 11th and it did not ship out till the 17th. (still don't have it!) I was worried they were going to email me they ran out or something, but it finally did ship. It will fall beyond the 6-8 day window but at that price, I'll keep my mouth shut. :D

    3. DD, I was wondering if you had received yours yet. Mine just shipped last night. I assumed it was coming from a store since it took so long but it says it's coming from Lynchburg...

    4. Just curious what the "glitch" price was? Sorry I missed out on that one. :)

    5. Glad you found one at a store and they honored the price. I received mine on Monday and I have to say it is beautiful! I really want the gray and cream version. Thanks again for the heads up!

    7. You guys...I haven't received a tracking #. :,(

I just emailed CS, asking what the hold up was. Also if it did go out of stock, I asked if they can switch it for the light grey (charging me for the same price of $27.99). We'll see what they say...

  5. (1) The only item I liked in this rollout was the gingham dress short-sleeve shirtdress (f3174a) and it is excluded from all promos. Ugh! So annoying when J.Crew does this.

    (2) Why does it take forever for the Canadian stores to get the new arrivals? I went in to my Calgary store today and they only had half of the items!

    1. That dress was my favorite item from the new rollout and I was so bummed it was excluded from promo. I'm not crazy about that handkerchief hem, I was thinking if I liked the fit I might have to take it in to have the hem altered to be "normal" and if that happens I don't want to pay full price...

    2. I completely agree with you on the hem! I'm still debating whether to bite the bullet and buy it or wait for a sale. I would love to see this dress IRL.

  6. Why are women's button up shirts more expensive than men's? $69.50 for men vs $78 for women. Also, why are women's chinos more expensive than men's? $75 for men vs $89.50 for women????

  7. Did J. Crew discontinue the Campbell Capri!? I am desperate for some new pairs but they only carry trousers. I was hoping for some fun spring colors and prints, but no such luck :( Any updates about this?!
