ReplyDeleteVisited the new b & m at the new UTC in Sarasota yesterday. Beautiful big store and, contrary to my regular stores up north, very busy. And, every shopper in there was definitely 40+.
ReplyDeleteExplodes the myth that "older" JC fans aren't embracing the more fashion forward styles. I saw a lot of Crew on those ladies!
Plus, I scored a lone Downtown Field Jacket in navy - I have black already - in the sale section in my size for $67! I was thrilled!

DeleteI picked up the black downtown field jacket in smalltall online a day or two around for $77. I love the jacket and already own it in moss. I wear in constantly during this in between weather. So checking online might turn up something, they had several sizes available last time I cruised the site. HTH.

DeleteA quick review of the Mesh Wrap Dress since a few mentioned being interested in how it fits. Got it in the mail yesterday. I've been liking the fit and flare style lately, but this isn't the way it appears on the model in the pic. At least not in me. The style was more sheath-like than fit and flare. The material was lightweight scuba like on the body except for the wrap front which is cotton and more of a pique than mesh. Exposed zipper on the back. It could definitely be okay for a work dress. I got a size 4 and it fit a smidge snug, but that might be b/c I gained a few lbs over the winter, so I'd say TTS. I thought it looked cute, but my husband said it wasn't flattering, so back it goes. It was "okay" but not great IMO. Definitely not a FP item.

DeleteCate, the length was perfect on me, but actually, now that I'm thinking about it, it might be a little too short for an office environment. When I say perfect on me, I'd say between top of knee and mid-thigh, and I'm about 5'3".

I was also contemplating the cotton shorts in the green photofloral from retail last year. Has anyone tried those? Curious about fit and the fabric.
ReplyDeleteAnyone have trouble getting the bar code to print on the Gilt City J Crew Factory voucher? No matter what I try, I cannot get the voucher to print with the bar code. I wonder if the store will accept the coupon without the bar code???

ReplyDeleteHi FAF, what color did you order? I have it in size 2, that I just bought last month. Initially tried a 0 last fall, but it was tight around the chest (I'm 36B). Nicely made shirt, what you would expect for a collection piece. :)
ReplyDeleteNo trip to the store for me; but I did do an electronic trip to Factory. New fleece #B8405 in blue; regularly $90 in Canada (yeah I think that price was way too high too) but today with the discount and free shipping just $35.50.
ReplyDeleteI received my Factory printed Amelia flats with bow in yellow roz floral on Friday. Sadly, these will have to be returned. The toe box is really small and factory does not offer size 11 (one size up). You may consider going up a size in these. They are really stiff so I don't think they will stretch out enough to be comfortable. so sad!!
