This is the weekly "Looking to LOVE with J.Crew" post, a place to share our favorite experiences with J.Crew.

  1. I have to give a big thumbs up to JenniferD's reviews on JC's site. They are so descriptive and helpful (and have great subject lines!) - the other day I read through them all. A lot of the reviews on jcrew.com are turning out to be good, and I like that they default to showing the most helpful ones first.

I'll always come to JCA for reviews first, though. ; )

    1. Awww . . . thanks silver_lining! I rely on reviews myself in helping to decide whether to make a purchase, and whether to size up or down. "Down" is the case for most J.C. items, and sometimes 2 sizes! Cheers - Jennifer

Thanks to everyone who helped me out this week with the skinny stretch cargo pants. .. especially Cate who kept checking in during the day! :)

  3. Customer Service. Always helpful. I almost never get no for an answer despite my incessant requests. No other retailer comes close IMO.

    2. Yep, agreed. I seem to recall some snippy CS experiences awhile back (remember, "well, as a one time courtesy..."), and I feel like they have made a noticeable improvement -- nicer and more accommodating. In the last couple of months during the sporadic extra 40% off promotions, I bought two collection dresses -- the daisy jacquard, and the gilded floral jacquard. Neither was final sale at the time I purchased, and both were only available in one size off of my normal 2 or 4. Unfortunately, neither fit (one was a 0, one was a 6), but in both cases, a couple of days after the promo ended, my size popped back and in both cases, CS was happy to send out the dresses in my size, at the price I paid (which was 40% less than the price advertised at the time). I love both dresses and think happy JC thoughts every time I look at them (even though I have not worn either yet!).

  4. JC customer is hands down the best in the business. If you follow me on IG, you will know that I was shipped 2 left feet of the factory metallic oxfords! I called CS immediately. As the shoes were OOS online and there was a huge shipping delay from the warehouse due to snow, the CS rep offered me a replacement order (straight exchange) for a shoe on the retail site (with next day shipping). I ended up choosing the Collins loafer in basketweave. Received them yesterday and am wearing them today! They are really cute, comfortable and surprise, sizing is TTS (finally!!).
