Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the SALE, or to see some NEW ARRIVALS {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. Went to Club Monaco and Madewell instead this weekend. So many goodies!!! CM was also willing to honor the 30% off sale that was supposed to be online only.

Club Monaco even has a 20% off student discount and I got the Kiona silk shirt. The silk is the most luxe I've ever felt besides shirts from Equipment.

At Madewell I tried out the slub pocket v-neck tees and loved how they drapes. Also loved the Crop Tee in Boating Stripe and the High Rise Denim Shorts in black. Really hope some sort of promo comes around next week for President's Day weekend, but honestly wouldn't mind getting these items with just a student discount.

  2. I went by JC this weekend. The local stores were offering 30% off sale items. I ended up getting the Reid Jeans in Black Wash for $35.

    Some reviews here.

  3. I went and, gasp, I loved like everything. I picked up the cap-sleeve shirt tail blouse in green, drapey keyhole top in red (final sale) and sequin trim sweatshirt in gray (final sale). I have high hopes for spring, actually.

  4. Hi everyone! I stopped in at the JC in Philly. It was pretty empty, hardly anyone shopping and the sale section (with 30% off) was tiny. They didn't have much new stuff, either, but the Philly store never seems to have a great selection. They did have the one new arrival I was pretty excited about, the metallic pleated midi skirt, but it was a bust on me. The fabric felt cheap. I wrote a more detailed review of it, and the other things I tried on, on my blog: http://www.shoppingandsewing.com/shopping-a-stop-at-j-crew/

  5. I went to the clearance store in Arden yesterday. That is the only place I can justify spending any money at JCrew lately. I did pick up the Stadium-cloth topcoat in Vicuna (dark camel) (go one size down) for a song and a pair of collection leather front pixie pants for only $24.00. I really like them. The leather is very nice quality supple leather. I could have never afforded the $398.00 retail price for these. I also picked up a cambridge turtleneck sweater and the Madewell shawl collar wrap cardigan. I really like this sweater, it is so comfy and cozy and the color is a great basic. Also came home with the drapey wool pinstripe pants (love) and for fun, the Madewell ski lodge sock slippers. They are awesome for around the house and so cute. All this for about $180.00. They had all their black and navy coats on sale for $45.00 and they had two or three racks of them. Couldn't find one that I liked in my size but if you live near and are looking, you should go. They also had a good selection of shoes.

    1. I never think about coats when I go! I've been to the Lynchburg store twice in the last few weeks (my son's neuro is at UVA & the clearance store is on the way home!) & have scored some fantastic deals. Next time I go will be April so coats won't be on my mind by then. I bought the black merino wool long v-neck sweater in black, the pencil skirt in blue grotto, a long-sleeved cashmere tee in tuscan sunflower, the wool Campbell Capris in dark olive, the wool Minnies in caravan blue, the Harper flats in metallic silver & black patent, a pair of the Martina wedges in a plum suede, & the Cleo loafer in kraft brown - totalled about $280 for everything. You can't beat those deals!

    2. you are one lucky gal....can I ask what the song was you got the coat for? I dream of being able to go to the clearance store....

    3. It was $70.00, so maybe 2 songs. It was originally $350.00, so it seemed like a really good deal to me at 80% off. Coats are normally $120.00 over there and then it was 40% off 5 or more items. Best to catch coats and boots when they have a store wide percentage off since they are typically the two most expensive items.

    4. I love the leather front pixies! I grabbed them during one of the sale/promos last year for a pretty good deal (more than $24!) and the leather on them is so soft! They always make me feel amazing when I wear them. Great deals!

  6. I found the matelasse drop waist skirt on the clearance rack for $4.99! They had a few left, mostly larger sizes.
