This is the weekly "J.Crew Reviews {straight from the JCAs}" post, to help each other share our reviews.
So
if you have recently purchased,
or stopped by a J.Crew store to try
on an item (or two) from J.Crew, maybe you
might be willing to share that
information with us in this post.
Also, this request is not just limited to clothes. Please feel free to discuss bags, shoes, jewelry, accessories, etc.
In
particular, if you could
mention a few of the noteworthy
details like fit, size, fabric, and the
like— that would be fantastic! Thanks
in advance! :)

DeleteThanks Gigi! xx
DeleteThanks so much!!! And really love the style guide this time.
DeleteJSR & fleur de lys - You're welcome, ladies :)
DeleteTook long frozen walk at lunchtime to procure a J Crew catalog - oops, Style Guide. My store didn't have them out and wouldn't give me one. "Tomorrow" they said. Yeah, it's going to be even more frigid tomorrow. I'll wait for the mailman. Thanks, J. Crew.
DeleteGigi you seriously rock! thanks:)
DeleteThank you Gigi!!!
DeleteHas anyone tried the black Double faced crepe dress? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThe J.Crew show is running late right now, but the NYFW photos should be posting live here: http://nowfashion.com/j-crew-ready-to-wear-fall-winter-2015-new-york-12850
ReplyDeleteI am loving all of the saturated yellows in this collection.
DeleteThank you, Marielarue7
DeleteAlso, via Iconosquare -- #jcrewnwfw on Instagram. And if you're curious, a pic of Katet, Jenna's assistant.
the Twitter hashtag #jcrewnyfw is also pulling up quite a few images, along with some unfiltered opinion, lol.
DeleteI love love the collection! It is wack-a-doodle per Gayle, but there are standout pieces I would love to own.
DeleteLove the tie on A-line skirt in blush, the nubby toggle coat worn with a knitted fair isle sweater and skirt, cream jumpsuit-yum!...can't really pull that off since it probably won't be offered in petite. The super wide legged pants in grey (that looks like a long skirt, Jenna is wearing it but in pinstripe).
The collarless and sleeveless coat in cream...that one was nice, too. Also the fake fur jacket in rust color-so fun!
The colors! So good. The pink, that blue! The yellow + taupe. Love love love.
DeleteThe cobalt skirt and double breasted jacket look amazing. Some of the shoes are gorgeous. I love to see so much color!
DeleteThat furry scarf in blk/white, and another navy scarf with a gold embroidery is nice, too.
DeleteAnother review. The mixed stripe sweater.
ReplyDeleteOT: As Racked so succinctly put it on Facebook, "WHAT WHY J.Crew WHY"
ReplyDeleteExcuse me, that is fashion and if you don't like it you can go shop at Talbots/Chicos/Coldwater Creek.
Delete; )
Been waiting for silver_lining to show up. Lol

DeleteSorry, I couldn't help myself! ;)
There are things I'll probably like.

And then in a class by itself is the Pantsuit Onesie.
Splrrffff.
{drops mic....walks out of room}
Deleteit took more than one look to realize that the pantsuit onesie was not a long coat. i think that it going to be a tough sell. The logistics of that garment are unimaginable in a public restroom. i do see many other pretty things.I will keep my fingers crossed for fabric quality and petite options.
DeleteIf that thing actually makes it to production, I will seriously go to a store and try it on just because I think it would look so hilarious on my 5'2", squatty little square self. And then put the picture on my holiday cards next year because awesome.
DeleteI tried a few of the new arrivals today.
ReplyDeleteThe boy shirt in jet set geo.I tried my usual 0 and it was tight in the back,so i probably would have to size up.The print is very nice, shirt is relatively thin.
Next the jet set geo shell in glamourous pink.I really like that one.My regular 0 fits fi ne,so TTS. Great color combo!
The lace applique tank in navy. I like ita lot,but had to size down to an xxs in order to not show my bra under my arms.
i also saw some nice sandels in gold and black that are not in the catalog and they are on my buy list.
I also tried a short sleeved top in mint that i really liked. i didnt get it because it is dry clean only and that doesnt work for my lifestyle. It was TTs and the 0 fit me.

DeleteThe top that i tried on is the drapey cap sleeve top in rustic mint.
DeleteThe shoes that i was taking about in my post are in the catalog, sorry.
they are called the Hayes on page 21.
Thanks, Ina! Will you be posting pics on your IG?
Delete,I didnt take any as my battery was dead, sorry.
DeleteNo problem! I appreciate your reviews!!
DeleteI'm styling the Indigo Gauze Popover on the blog today. It's very lightweight and runs big in my opinion.

Partial to Pink
I received the Collection silk secretary blouse in willoughby pine - Ordered a size 2 to try on. I say it fits TTS. For reference I am 36B. The V-cut is a tad low, so you might want to consider how you can hide your girls. :)
ReplyDeleteIts nicely made. The green is more on the blue shade. It's an okay blouse..I'd probably be more excited about it if its on sale. At least its not poly.
I'd probably buy it in blue when it goes on sale.
DeleteReview of the structured flutter tee. The one that looks like a peplum.
